@supermissdeedee If you want snow that sticks to the ground come to Colorado. Im am planning on moving to Albuquerque as soon as I can and one of the many reasons why is because I am tired of all the snow and cold weather!!
im driving from georgia to albuquerque tonight and im going up sandia mountain, and im also going to the state fair. Its my first time there to see my whole family for the first time, how is it there?
My parents went to Manzano. I went to El Dorado. I loved it. I had friends from all the highschools including Sandia, ABQ high, ST. Pius and more. It is a great place to visit. Take care and have fun. I go whenever I can and I love to shop allover like at Old Towne and ect..
I lived there for 4 years and went back to visit 3 years ago. One of the special reasons was that my daughter see the place where she was born. I would love to go back.
Hi! I'm Hispanic American, and I am considering moving to NM. Is Rio Rancho Ok. I want safe near Alburquerque. any other suggestions? Gona buy some land.
@actrizx23 I was born and raised here and have never had an issue. Albuquerque is a city of approx 800,000 people. And like any big city, we have areas that are best to avoid. Sandia Park is beautiful! And as far as I know, it is very safe. Hope that helps!
My ex boyfriend went there and both of my parents too. I love and miss it so much. I need to go for a visit. I was born there in 1973. How about you? The balloon fiesta is great. I lived in Colorado for awhile too near Denver and Colorado Springs too. Take care and keep warm. I hope to visit soon. Best wishes to you.
The El dorado eagles rule. I loved that school. We had party animals there too. Sandia had more though. There were a few snobs at El dorado too. The people from Manzono were cool. UNM Rules. Have fun this week.
@peacemtn my dad and my uncle went to Monzano =D and my mom went to Del Norte :3 We all live in colorado now but we go to ALB when we can. my grandparents and uncles and aunts all still live there. I love being there for the balloon fiesta especially. idc how old ya are that is where it's at :3
@TheInfinitePuffball -why? so all the yupie East Coasters and Californians can dilute and fuck up the history and character of New Mexico? Stay where you all are at.
california, arizona, new mexico, and texas were part of mexico territory. texas taken in the mexican-american war of 1848. arizona, california, new mexico sold to USA for 15 million$ due to thier inhabital land.
Hah i know! my friends ( i live in NY but have cousins from Abq ) always ask weird questions about it like its in the middle of the sahara desert! Ha its a city...then again it kind'of is in the middle of nowhere =P

There's more to see here than pueblos. Seriously we're not all native american or hispanic. No wonder everyone thinks we're part of mexico.

The women in Albuquerque are the smarter, educated, more sophisticated cousins of smaller towns in New Mexico.

actually Spanish settlers tried to turn it into part of Mexico, hence the name "New Mexico". Goes to show the power of bureacracy.
