Can someone please help me out? i went out of town for acouple days i returned to get online with my ps3 and it says my ethernet is not plugged and it isnt allowing me to get online at all. i tried mutiple accounts connection test failed everytime i tried to test connection but my computer get online fine but not my ps3 and it worked fine before i left home. don't compare this to rrod, they're nothing the same! this happens whenever sony decides to mess with the servers, and to prevent data loss, they close it.....

Unlike rrod where your system is completely dead, error code 8001050F shows up every now and then, and is usually dealt with within a few hours - a few days.

Look guys, don't come into panic. This must be a firmware failure setting on old systems (because so far all SLIMs are working fine) using NTP to synch the date and hour with SONY's server. Now, the worst thing you can do now is erase your data because the NTP servers validate clients date against server allowing access to the server as an example(that's why we can't log in), give execute rights(that's why we can't run our games), because if you haven't noticed our date shows on 1/1/1999

this isnt a psn problem. this is a problem with the systems internal clock. if u look on ur ps3's or this video u can see the date has been set back to 12/31/1999.

Again the psn is not the problem. anyone that owns a slim can sign in with no problems because sony fixed the clock issue in the slims.

So all in all its a hardware issue not software and sony said they will hopefully have a fix in the next 24hrs.

If they do have a patch we will still be able to download it. If you go to ur browser u can see the ps3 can still get on the internet so its always connected.

Every time we get updates for the ps3 we cant sign into the psn until the update is completed so this tells me we r not getting the updates from the psn but from just the internet.
