@GlowBored Air France should have gone with a suite concept rather than using the same First Class that is utilized by their 777s, which really can't afford any real privacy. With the A380 First Class compartments, I think Lufthansa got it right; unlike Singapore Airlines or Emirates whose suites are claustrophobic in nature due to their high walls.

I took this plane from NY to Paris. We were in business class. The plane is beautiful, however the seats are very uncomfortable. The business class seats don't lay all the way flat, and there is a sort of flap at the feet to keep you from sliding down. The seat has a very cheap feel to it. I hope they get improved because the plane itself and the serve were great.

Most of the video has been filmed in first class including the lavatories. Business class in the A380 is the same as in most of the Air France aircrafts.. nothing new except for the lateral compartments. Economy class on the upper deck is packed of seats and lavatories are same as other planes. .. The true is that is an extremely quiet plane.

AF are not telling the truth, their Biz class seats DO NOT make lie flat beds - the foot end ducks down to sqeeze under the seat in front so if you are over 1metre long the "bed" slides to the floor from the knees down, making you feel sick when trying to sleep! Cabin crew agreed with me when I complained ! AF was too cheap to make room for REAL lie flat beds like BA ! DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY !!!!!!!!!!

I've flown in Affairs on Air France and the seats are actually quite a bit more comfortable than they look...especially given that you can adjust the recline from completely upright to completely flat (albeit sloped a bit) and anything in between. The service is also pretty good....I was with you, a little concerned until I flew it. I was very pleasantly surprised, and I guarantee, so will you.

You can't even compare this Cabin Interior to Emirates or Singapore Airlines. It looks like your average airplane. Nice to see SI and EK have nothing to worry about.  My favorite is the joke of a bar with the passengers serving their own drinks. Typical AirFrance Service - Get it yourself.

The A380 can be a luxary plane, but carriers like Air France, know that for some people it is just A to B.

When you book a flight with any carrier that has the A380, you might get on that airplane without paying anymore.

It's replacing the old large planes, so you'll be more likely to go on this plane anyway. It'll be the same price than any other aircraft, (in Econmy and perhaps Business for sure)

Long haul? yes! at least comfort and friendly service, cos you do not want to stuck in a very dull uncomfortable place for 14 hours don't you? while for biz and suite, AF and SQ charged almost the same a mount of money, but SQ offer way better product than AF, sorry.... :) but it is important,

Air France's newer interiors are just gorgeous. L'Espace Premier (First Class) is simply stunning; the wood, the smooth lines, the soft colors, it's just magnificent. Everyone raves about Emirates First Class, but that is just plain tacky with the busy surfaces and the gold trim. Give me Air France anyday
