  • Did you have to fit seats that are 5'' lower.

  • @1939PlymouthRatRod Yes, I took the springs out and replaced it with 4'' of foam pad

  • The 1935' Chevy V Shaped Grill look's awesome on a 31' if you want something a little different.. It's on mine go see! -Rob

  • Oh and don't miss my chopped 31' Headlight Bracket.. that would look awesome on yours.. I cut mine off just after the cups and reversed the mounts underneath.. -Rob

  • now you just need to channel the grill and body on the frame

  • I welded the back and pulled the roof forward to match up the front pillers it closed the door gaps a little but the doors work fine.

  • Ive been researching and reading about top chopping.. havent tackled it yet but I'm going to do a 32 chevy pickup.. it has a square cab so thats a good place for me to start. how did you address the miss match of the A piller? I saw it didnt quite line up on the first stab..

  • Very nice, did you have any problems with the wood catching fire/burning while you were welding the roof back on?

  • Not really It would smoke a little. and you start welding in another spot. just keep moving around. Thanks for the comment.

  • that's pretty awesome but you have to admit that is virtually a straight drop on a 31 Chevy you don't really have to to do as much fabbing and forming as you would on a newer (late 30's and newer). 5" looks like a good height to take out. i'm in the early stages (Still planning and gathering parts) for a 31chevy coach(2 door sedan). great video, great car, great song choice too!
