  • this is my favorite album but then every time i put on a floyd album its my favorite he he he

  • Profound, timeless ....Phucket just great...always were and always will be the band from our near corner of the galaxy!

  • per-fucken-fection

    i love pink floyd

  • 6 people are fucking mudmen

  • The Guitarrrrrrrrrrrrrrr is so trippyyyyyyyyy.

    Gilmour is a god.

  • the entity who made this video appreciates Pink Floyd.

  • the snar drum is blowing my mind.

  • i always though Obscured by Clouds was too understated. it was full of great tunes, i own. LOVE it, too. this song and "burning bridges" are my favs.

  • keyboards/guitar union produces real and genuine art...

  • This is w/o a doubt my favorite song done by Pink Floyd always makes me leave my body in soul when I hear this whilst high. Completely magical.

  • heroin of music = PINK FLOYD and PORCUPINE TREE

  • they know how to make you feel colors an taste sound.

  • @Tittiefucker420

    you are so right :)

  • This is a very nice album, and a very underrated one... Pink Floyd had some albums that are pretty obscure like ummagumma, atom heart mother or music from the fillmore (More), but those albums kind of deserve it. I do declare that you can find some good tunes there like green is the colour or Careful with that axe Eugene...

  • Definitely my favorite Floyd album. Funny that "Obscure" appears in the title....

  • @TheAtomicist42 Actually, the word that appears in the title is "Obscured". A completely different meaning than "Obscure".

  • @micho0001 I wouldn't say it's my favorite album (neither is DSOTM) but its definitely one of their better works.

  • one of my favorite songs on one of my favorite albums

its like they turned a dream into a song

  • I have been a follower since 1968,I was 13 when my older brother turned me on to Pink Floyd.I first saw Pink Floyd in Philly in1970.I cant believe it's been 42 yrs. There is no better music than Pink Floyd.

  • Us & Them 1972.

  • i love this album, this song was like their movement into the darkside of the moon

  • awesome!

  • this song is so weird, being instrumental makes it even more emblematic, it sounds like Breathe, Celestial Voices and so many other songs it s like an overview of the band but still misterious

  • This whole album works wonders on the ears and soul.

  • this is real music

  • in the albums you forgot 'a momentary lapse of reson'.

  • I'd leave it out too. It's embarrassing.

  • @brautigan1 whatever dude, floyd is floyd.

  • PERFECT MY FLOYD FRIEND awesome FROM MIAMI FL TY

  • I was lucky enough to see them in concert.

  • sad picture at 0:45 seconds syd pushed to the back,he looks like a ghost

  • Love

    Hooms

    Guss

    Hate

  • this song relaxes me and gets me pumped up

  • smoking weed,, listening to floyd.. i wish i could do this all day :)

  • @MissHell420 try LSD or Ketamin :))

  • @al3gzand3r i once was a teen you know ;)

  • Excellent!

  • Richard William Wright of Pink Floyd's soul!

  • @luizmrtt Completely agree, I've ever though R.W. Wright is (was) just the esensse of Pink Floyd... Pink Floyd wouldn't be the same without the keyboards of R.W. Wright.

  • @HomeroBabun It's "Absolutely", I'm sorry

  • I don't have the technical ability, but I have a copy of the film. Is anyone going to match up the music to the film? Since the scene in the original production did not use this music, but as an afterthought they could be matched up very effectively.

  • 1. Echoes 2. Any Colour You Like 3. Mudmen

    My favourite top three.

    Love.

  • @LENIN990 wow crazy me too! thats totally awesome!

  • I cry when the guitar solo starts at 1:35

  • @VEKKIO I cry too

  • I want this song played at my funeral. It would be epic.

  • I would also agree that "Obscured by Clouds" is enormously underrated.

  • It would be a toss up between "Mudmen" and "Fearless" as to which is my favorite Floyd tune.

  • Masterpiece !

With Marooned, One of these days, ... one of best PF instrumentals...

  • @VaPedja I agree, a masterpiece...and an amazing album!!

  • I plan to have this song played at my funeral it seems like the perfect song for your spirit to ascend to. It's so peaceful....

  • I plan to have this song played at my funeral it seems like the perfect song for your spirit to ascend to. It's so peaceful....

  • @dlm9293. I' ll try to translae:" Pink Floyd in pure condition What important that were Wright's keyboards by those years. A slightly virtuous musician but always putting the just climates. What unjust that was Waters with him. After the death of Rick, Pink Floyd separated definitively and in a least awaited way

  • @Ucumar10 oh...well thats very true wright played a huge role in defining their sound in those days..and its also true that waters was kind of a dick...especially towards rick wright

  • this is so trippy

    feels like the ocean

  • @Ucumar10 don't know exactly what you said but Rick Wright is awesome...keep listening to Pink Floyd bro

  • @pocketkiller123 Quizás me expresé mal .

  • Over all this song is awsome but part 1:46- 1:57 is perfect....

  • gilmours guitar almost talks!!

  • it does you just have 2 listen very hard!

  • This song is magical, the best moment in a plane crossing the clouds :) I was in an orgasmic experience

  • OBC was the third pre-DSotM album I ever acquired in July, 1987 on cassette tape (I had Piper and Saucerful on A Nice Pair). Takes me back to age 11 in mid summer 1987 and blasting this out of my old Panasonic tape deck hidden in a New England Patriots gym bag on the handlebars when I'd take my old BMX bicycle for a spin either around the neighborhood or to the local store to buy soda and candy. This tune (and Burning Bridges), Wots...Un the Deal, Stay and Childhood's End are standouts IMHO!

  • this song really makes me feel freeee of everything. I LOVE PINK FLOYD, specially when their live in pompeii:)

  • pink floyd is god.

  • I FUCKING LOVE THIS BAND PERIOD!.........................actually thats an eexclamation point but you get it

  • this music is so hypnotizing.

  • This song is trippy i like the psycedelic sound i could listen to forever

    Muitas pessoas nao conhecem,,,

  • I've been a PF fan for about 20 years now, but never heard this album until about 4 years ago. I love it.

I of course knew about Dark side and The Wall, and all of the stuff they played on the radio. And even from long ago knew about Animals, Wish you were here, and some others from being in record shops, but never had even heard of this album before i found it.

And i found it..... literally :-DDD

It was in the CD player of a use car I bought, lololol. What a great surprise :-D

  • O mY gOd ! THis SOnG its beatiful, masterpiece, going to buy obscured by clouds next week ! this is true prorgessive, loving it....

  • first time ive ever heard this wow!!!!

  • This song is magical. My fav album is Animals, but i love all of them.

  • great song one of pink floyd best

  • any live versions of this or burning bridges? I cant get enough of that lava lamp sound

  • nope 'fraid not - they didn't play it as far as I know - there are a couple versions of childhoods end / obscured by clouds / when you are in out there - but they are fairly rare and scratchy

  • fiddle sticks

  • genius!

  • magic song

  • Boy they just don't make 'em like they used to!

    RIP Syd & Rick

  • this song is totally has all the different sounds of Floyd...mainly Dark Side, thats what i love about this whole album is like that

  • Maybe someone would say I'm crazy but for 20 years of listening Pink Floyd I always considerred Obsured by Clouds the best work. I don't understand why it is so underrated

  • Whoever gave u a thumbs down is obviously a moron. I'm the biggest Floyd fan you'll meet and I agree with you 100% My favourite album and this is my favourite song!

  • It is Pink Floyd, and with that said, it is as if there is not a weak song in their entire catalogue. So therefore it can rightfully be considered their best work. The only thing is OBC is a movie soundtrack if I'm correct, and is widely built around instrumental work, so therefore it doesn't get the radio airplay it should. Great music from Floyd nevertheless.

  • @TWern9 You will be surprised. Obscured by Clouds was the first Pink Floyd studio album to crack the American Top 50 reaching #46 in 1972 and is musically the missing link between Meddle and Dark Side. FM rock stations played "Free Four" back in 1972 pushing the album up the charts paving the way for Dark Side in 1973. This album I literally thank God (on hands and knees as I say this) was rightfully included on the band's 16-CD Oh By the Way box set in 2007.

  • @micho0001 all their work's great still Syd was the best in my eyes

  • @micho0001 It's an amazing album. Definitely underrated.

  • @micho0001 Oh... Completely agreed. That and Meddle.

  • @micho0001 I agree. I've listened to floyd since mid 70's, and this is my favourite album ( though meddle is a close second ) Very listenable and accessible.

  • its not my favorite album, but it is deffinetly up there

  • @micho0001 just because Floyd themself underrate it: have you read Nick Mason's book? He doesn't say much about it. I read it hoping he would talk more about this and other albums...

  • Yes, I know. That's why I was very happy when I heard David and Roger playing Wot's uh the deal during On an Island tour. They really looked like they where enjoying themselves.

  • @micho0001

Obscured.... is my favorite Floyd album, too. Nothing against the later works, this one just hits home with me.

  • @micho0001 no one thinks you're crazy man. the album is pure gold. =)

  • @micho0001 you right brotha I got 22 years listening. I became a serious music head cos of these guys

  • @micho0001 I'm agree with you...Personally, this is one of my favorites :-)

  • @micho0001 very solid album!

  • @micho0001 I will say you that "Obscured by Clouds" is one of my fovorites albums. It's an extraodinary work, I cannot say that I considerred the best -'coz, for me Pink Floyd is a great phenomenom in music- but you say right when you say that is UNDERRATED, AND NOBODDY KNOWS WHY...

  • @HomeroBabun i guess Obscured by Clouds is underrated because it is "obscured by other masterpieces".... i mean, i guess it's normal to start to listen to their "main" works before listening to their soundtracks... not because the main works are better... simply cause they are their main works

  • @hmontfort I'm agree.

  • @micho0001 As an overall work I only rate Dark Side of the Moon higher, but not by much.

  • @micho0001 I wouldn't say it's my favorite album (neither is DSOTM) but its definitely one of their better works.

  • @micho0001

You're not the only one. Obscured.... has always been my favorite Floyd album, too!

  • @TypicalJAFO ITwas mine for along time toobut then i heard ANIMALS

  • MERVEILLEUX

  • tthis music intro in my mind and make me few on the sky flying on space.

  • Magnificent.

  • very underrated song

  • God this song is soooo good. Which is why Pink Floyd is my favorite band

  • A very lovely collage to an absolutely beautiful song. Thanks Pinkmanson.

  • I came at 1:36...

  • I love the whole solo but,.....2:25 is when the guitar left into it's own state!!!

  • I'm 14 and I'm unsure as to why but this music seems to age you, like modern music is extremely childish and promotes a regression to simplistic clandestine barbaric ways while this... seems to move us forward. Even the early psychedelic stuff with Syd is deeper than most of the same inane self-pitying dribble out there today. Sorry for rambling...

  • You're an exceptionally awesome 14, man. Just for sayin' that. Like truly, ftw kid.

  • no offense ..but no 14 year old speaks like this

  • ughhh yeahh I am 14, I do have above average intelligence for my grade and am in honors classes at my high school. If you want proof I'm the girl with glasses in the videos at my channel.

  • eee ya, 14 LOL u wish

  • There is always good music to be found if you dig deeper.

  • This is like the modern classic music

  • This and Echoes are Floyd on opiates.

  • I are 3 and half i tink dis music asome

  • this might be the 1st video i ever watched on youtube when i 1st discovered it 2 years ago & it's still one of my favs i still watch it about once a month

  • Why oh why is this album so unde rrated. It is brilliant.

  • i prefer stuff the be underrated, obscurity is good.

  • im 17 and this is music .....although the pot helps

  • Why is your age relevant?

...and everybody knows the pot helps, no reason to keep saying that it does?

  • because ppl our age listen to 50 cent and brittney spears bullshit you dont have to question everything....unless your on acid

  • That's not true, you're basiclly boothing our entire generation, and that's just narrow minded. Picture this, a person can listen to 50 Cent, and enjoy that music for what it is, and still enjoy King Crimson or Pink Floyd's Ummagumma. No need to beat down people because of what they listen too, you should rather respect those people and introduce them to what you consider good music.

  • Peace ;) no1 is the same, i listen to 60's to 80's music, and beyonce's song halo is fucking amazing

  • lol if you listen to mainstream shit chances are your a faggot because music that needs no talent just a face put in front of a corporation thats developed the music is pathetic

  • very good way of putting that man....couldn't have said it better myself...

  • but finding someone who likes 50 cent and In the wake of Poseidon would be really hard

  • Come on there are some things you would question listening to no matter what age. I questioned listening to some things at age 12... And you should question

  • im 12 and i also think this is awesome

  • wonderful song. makes me want to cry.

and im 17... goes to show, they are timeless. period.

great lineup of pink floyd memorabilia as well. 5 stars.

  • I'm 14 and I think this is awesome. Your right, they'll never die.

  • 01. Obscured By Clouds

    02. When You're In

    03. Burning Bridges

    04. The Gold It's In The...

    05. Wots...Uh The Deal

    06. Mudmen

    07. Childhood's End

    08. Free Four

    09. Stay

    10. Absolutely Curtains

  • If Syd were to be in this album and every other Pink Floyd album, theres no telling of how much better Pink Floyd would have been, but Waters and Gilmour definetly raised Pink Floyd correctly after Syd created it ... Great music, Great album, Great Band

  • If Syd was on all of these, I'm under the impression the songs would have not been like this at all. They would have remained psychedelic rock and been shorter and lighter.

  • we will never know!

  • this is a pink floyd video

  • I hate you!

  • That bitch! I mean uh...yes, they did write "Dogs"! Sorry bout that, I was thinking of something that happened earlier today...

  • Yes?

  • You should make yourself even more popular in Youtube by sayin "Pink floyd wrote dogs" at most watched videos as well :P

  • Nah, cause then I wouldn't be able to back up my arguement that at least it's relevant.

  • Aaaah xD

  • greatest band ever... this music reeks of lsd... makes me feel like i'm trippin just listening to it.

  • thanks for that..BUT,actually roger waters and david gilmour did..not the entire band. ahah

  • More than one member of Pink Floyd working together, and writing music = Pink Floyd. Nananananana!!

  • Sit down, hold on and shut up!

  • It is probably strange, but this was actually the first Pink Floyd song I ever heard. Maybe that's one of the reasons why I love it so much.

  • Yeah, It was mine as well. Kind of makes me feel weird, because most Pink Floyd fans heard their more mainstream songs first. I came across it by accident, too. I just thought the song title sounded cool. =P

  • I saw pink floyd live 8 to many people were there just to see them play for 20mins thats show how much people really like or want to see the play or a reunion.

  • i love that Pink Floyd period Obscured by clouds...meddle....more.....atom heart mother

  • Pink Floyd discovered a world that nobody knew existed.

  • Man you said it!

  • First heard this when I was 14 I'm thirty now.

  • Nicely arranged. Thanx.
