I did not watch this season of American Idol. I just now stumbled upon this guy and Haley. People on her songs state that they can't understand why she didn't and hate on him. He has a genuine country voice and I think that he will be a great country singer. Haley is a very talented singer and I am sure she will do fine. That being said I think it would have been easier for him to get into country and make it without him winning versus Haley's situation.

@mountainblue1000 It's funny I don't like her all that much. Yes she has a great voice... but what she lacks for me is what Scotty has on stage. He had that "it" factor from the very begining and she developed it over the season. So for me when ever he stepped on stage he had me from the first note. I know it has a lot to do with hearing it in person and it's great you were able to. I personally believe the right person won. She is still going to have a career no worries about that.

From the very beginning Scotty and Lauren were my favorites! This was the best season of American idol, all the singers were amazing and they will all go far. Scotty deserved it, he was by far the most humble,respectful,sweet,talent­ed, and of course handsome! He is the TRUE definition of a southern raised country boy! I am so glad he won!
