Board games: nothing like 'em. For the social contact and big picture and imagination.  Dice, tokens, pieces, money, etc. No equal. Games take so long because you end up talking the whole time about whatever.

best axis and allies is "Axis And Allies Europe 1940" and "Axis And Allies pacific1940" thats the best its better than the 50th aniversery it comes with 4 massive map tiles you put together and more game peices. amazon is not selling europe right now ive seen the price jump from 60 to 100$

This version is better if you want to finish a game under 5 hours.

1940 is just well.... I hope you have a table the size of a ping pong table to play it and 12+ g'damn hours. Because hot damn it's big.

@JasminLeblanc LOL you want to talk about BIG MAPS; last month i got the "War Game: World War II Board Strategy by Pegasus" the map is 6 feet by 3 feet the mother of all WW2 game boards very good quality too; and wortth $120 people complain that all the game peices are all german, but i just use the A&A peices

@pkcirtap9 Spring 42 for a small scale game, just easy for new people to get into an stuff. It ranges from $25-$35. But for the more hardcore players with space and time, I'd say Europe/Pacific 1940. Ranging from $120 together to $200. Eur40 and Pac40 are both seperate games in different theatres that can both combine into one large global map. Easily best for its price. I would get 50th ann but its goin for at least $800 everywhere I look.

I got global 1940 go with that instead of AE only thing is italy has same tanks as germans. I wouldnt sell the game, wait till the prices get way higher, last time i checked it was 999.99$ o and how do u get the carrier and destroyer maybe the destroyer and cruiser.

you got one? lucky, i only found out about axis and allies the DAY they stopped making the anniversary edition and prices went throw the roof. im stuck with my revised edition with a blown up map.its like the size of your whole table :) and than some for instance Germany on the map is fills one paper. too much? maby so but oh well it works. also with the luck thing there are some rules out there called no luck or minimal luck.i play with those player rules bc without it sometimes my cuzans wins

@wildboytheyoukai Revised in my opinion is best for new players. That or classic (original). You might find original is too simple. Revised is a great balanced game and will be a ton of fun to play. This reviewed game is much more complicated and beginners should stay away from it.
