Partially true; you should look back and see where you're landing. This will prevent you from reverting. If you watch the video closely, you see that he looks back to see where he lands before turning his head forward.

And when he says "turn your head" try to do it without turning your shoulders, youll look like a robot. The reason is that its easier to think about moving your head than your shoulders. I have a couple tips that could help a little for those of you just starting to do spins.

Practice doing the jump without a spin and riding switch doing a couple little ollies to get used to landing switch. When you are trying it for first few times, use your arms to start the spin, rather than just your shoulders.

my tip that i tell people; small windup, pop off toes, look over back shoulder /w your front shoulder sslightly closed, keep shoulders aligned with feet (aka: dont have your upper body spinning faster than your lower), and spot your take-off in the air (so you dont over rotate your spin), look forward once you landed clean.

also if its off a park jump, have a setup carve planned (like an S turn leaving the jump with your board pointed straight)

Think about it like this, a backside 180, in regular, is when your back (right) foot goes over your front (left) foot in a clockwise motion. In goofy, your back foot (left) will be going over your right (front) in a counter clockwise motion.
