well basically in S4 she is possessed by her ancestor which is a which. In late S5 she starts seeing Lx and she marries him in S6, but he did a lot of crap to her, and also influenced her negatively. In late S6 and S7 she's a very dark character, struggling between good and evil, obsessed with revenge, very Luthor-like in the same way as Lex and Lionel. Clark eventually pulls her back towards good in the end
