Dont put in too much at one time as u stir add in more cinamon until the whole cup is used after that knead it with your hands and make your desighn wait for it to dry and then ur done1

@eezenwa if you can't find a cutter, then cut out a gingerbread man shape out of cardboard and trace the shape on the dough with a sharp pairing knife. It's not as fast as a cutter, but it gets the job done.
For all the people asking about how much butter they should add, if you look carefully you'll see that each butter stick in the video weights 113 grames, so you should add 225 grames or 8 OZ. if you're using english units
@DoublM7 it must be fahrenheit because in my country we use celsius and the usual top temperature is 250ºC for cooking. it's impossible that 350 is in C

2) if i dont have this molasses can i substitute it for somthing else or is it important? or can i just leave it out and if i do how will it taste different/
@ramonaomidvar Molasses are very important in making gingerbread men for the texture and general taste. If you want that traditional gingerbread taste and feel to your cookies, then you've got to use molasses.
Unfortunately, they're tough little rotters to get hold of, so you can substitute it using the same quantity of light treacle/golden syrup
i made GBM today, my dough came out a lot darker and molasses smell was bit over powering so i was worried that it might be too sweet, but OMG! they came out so perfect!!!! nice ginger smell, not too sweet, just perfect!!! Thank you so much!!!!:D i will follow this recipe again!!!!!
She does tell you when to add all the ingrediants...just followed her video ...when i realized that it does not tell you when to at the nutmeg, cinnamon or ground clove.
Hey thnxs for the help i wanna make these for my friends for christmas but a few question what is nut meg and does it have nuts cuz if it does i cant make these cuz my friends r allergics to nuts and do we have to use the nut meg cuz im just bein careful

I have two questions: can I use honey instead of molasses? Because molasses isn't common at all in our country.
The second one: how much does a stick of butter weigh in your country? Over here it's 200 grams. I'm just trying to figure out how much to use.

I assume this is an american recipe, therefore it would be 1 cup of butter. if you are weighing the butter it would be a 1/2 pound.

Thanks, dancelover411! I'm glad you brought that to my attention. Sorry I wasn't clear on that. Here's what you do:
Add the baking soda, ground ginger, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, ground cloves to the flour. Which I call it the flour mixture.
