  • jordan vs the cavs. the shot 1, 1989. here the shot 2. the shot 3. 2002 when he was a wizard

  • Im still waiting for Nike to issue out some Air Ehlos...

  • Announcer called it, they should of doubled teamed him with 4 seoncds on the clock. Better to have it shot from the hands of the other players rather than Jordan.

  • I also really liked it when Jordan flat out said he thought the Knicks were better and would play them over Charlotte, people always criticized MJ for not being political enough, but most players always answer the question with the same BS "either team could win, we're preparing for anybody, blah blah"......Michael didn't step around the question!

  • @maulman100 The NBA hadn't seen that type of ownage since Bill Russell played. I bet Jerry West/Elgin Baylor and the rest of the Lakers felt the same.

  • I would be embarrased at 1:30 gettn' stared down without dribbling the ball then pulln' a effortless jumpshot in my face.

  • Jordan's block on Price was so far above the rim that if he were one more step backwards he would have probably suffered a concussion! Thank the Lord I grew up during the Jordan Era... The greatest time to be a fan of the NBA EVER!

  • the basketball God, how many players have game winning, playoff series ending buzzer beaters that are not even talked about? GOAT

  • I actuatlly felt bad for Cleveland after this series, because they were never the same. Jordan has owned Cleveland since 84'.

  • They ask Michael who he'd rather play in the next round: the weaker Charlotte Hornets or the tougher New York Knicks. Michael of course said the Knicks. Lebron would have said the Hornets.

  • that hurt for clevland it happem three times lmfao.. iwonder how they feel after that

  • those were some dam good Cavs team, back then: the Bulls were just awesome. The 1991 team, I think that was the best team, out of the first 3 peat teams

  • I wanted see full game or hightlight plays of both teams not only from chicago.

  • cleveland will forever be jordan's town

  • I don't think they liked Cleveland at all...

  • I wonder how people in Cleveland feel...

  • @PEPEelZAPATISTA

Im from Cleveland and I LOVED Jordan, Pippen, and the Bulls even before the championships. I thought Jordan & Pippen were 2 of the coolest dudes ever when I was a teenager!! The Cavs were always "boring" to me (especially when Mike Fratello was there).

  • the cav fans was so stupid dont they know booing jordan everytime he touches it,,gets him going and more motivated to snatch the hearts out of cleveland ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,AGAIN

  • people forget about the shot II but i don't . glad to see you remember

  • Thank god for youtube, otherwise these young clowns wouldnt know a thing about the greatest player of all time.

  • kOrOne79 crazy vid, reminds me of me in college - just kidding. I'm five'eight and I am able to 180 dunk. I followed the famous training that pro players including Kobe Ray Allen and Areans used. For more info about the training program, go to - (50 inch vertical [dot] com)

Chicago Bulls @ Cleveland Cavaliers | 1993 Playoffs | ECSF Game 4: "The Shot" II

  • kOrOne79 you play ball? you gotta check out - 50 inch vertical (dot) com - It's a famous training plan that will def make you start dunking and you don t even need to go to the local gym it's not required

Chicago Bulls @ Cleveland Cavaliers | 1993 Playoffs | ECSF Game 4: "The Shot" II

  • is there anybody else rather than just kOrOne79 tested out the nba training system for dunking and shooting? Even players like Gilert Arenas have suggested this system. if you want more info,, here (50 inch vertical [dot] com)

Chicago Bulls @ Cleveland Cavaliers | 1993 Playoffs | ECSF Game 4: "The Shot" II

  • Gerald Wilkins, dubbed by the media as the "Jordan Stopper" :)

  • So my team mate kOrOne79 finally told me how he started dunking, he s not even as tall as me but leaps over 9 inches higher! What he used the training workout over at 50inch vertical[dot]com and gained over 16 inches in his vertical leap!

Chicago Bulls @ Cleveland Cavaliers | 1993 Playoffs | ECSF Game 4: "The Shot" II

  • 0:26 same move that fucked Byron Russell

  • 1:47... a long distance 3 point shot by MJ!

    Just wonderful!!!!

  • I remember this Shot and the First and the drive by Elway and the Fumble and the Choke by the Indians and The Give Up by the Caves last yr thats why im in Orlando now to much heart break in Cleveland :(

  • 5:40 is it me or does anyone get goose bumps when MJ starts to talk about the potential series coming up against the Knicks. I loved the way he answered that question cause most players would say they want the easiest ride to get to the Finals, not that guy it was like he's telling the Knicks to bring it on!!!

  • 0:24 - 0:28.. he owned craig ehlo

  • Elho was a strong defender but Mike made it look so easy.

  • Ahhhh!!! Jordan is a beast

  • Poor Ehlo i'm sure he has nightmares with MJ until the day he dies

    MJ IS THE BEST!!

  • Yeah, poor Craig Ehlo always had to guard him. In the sequences of "The Shot and Shot II", Nance should have shifted over and double teamed because he had longer arms. But no one left their man both times and let Jordan keep the ball and take the shot. When the Bulls have the last shot in any playoff game, they are always going to Jordan. But Lenny Wilkens didn't learn from the first time.

  • Ehlo didn't always have to guard him, once they got Gerald Wilkins, who always was better at getting away wish jersey-tugging crap on Jordan, it was Wilkins who had the duty as you see in this clip

  • Man is very humble when talk

  • hey young kids out there, did you know he did it twice?

  • 3 times.. after coming back from his second retirement, he did it again..

  • starting at :15 we learn why as a defender mark price was known as "the intimidator"......

  • The decline of the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 1990's began and it would be until 2003 that the Cavaliers became good again by the arrival of one LeBron.

  • Gerald Wilkins as "The Jordan Stopper"!! lol so much for that.........

  • whats the point of the two 3p lines??

  • To jasongrig:

The inner 3 point line is the college one and the outer is of course the pro one. Back in the day, many courts featured this "double 3 pt line."

  • 1:17 - This was just sick, Jordan faking to go right, passes to Grant get comes back left, while Grant holds up the wall for him to take the easy three pointer! This was just too cruel for the cavs defenders! Poor guys didn't even know what hit'em!

  • Aaaah the 90's!!! Those where the good old days! Back then, during the Bulls reign over the NBA owning a pair of jordans was everything and my family could never afford me a pair, sniff sniff. Time really does fly.

  • I love Jordan's reaction...its like he's thinking "Well..I did it again..."

  • 2:23 lol!

  • I recall an interview where Jordan spoke about this shot, and said that it pushed him further towards retirement. As we all know, Jordan retired in 1993 because he had no more challenges, nothing else to prove in basketball (and his father's death). He said that even hitting a game-winning shot had become expected of him, and when it happened this time, the thrill of previous times wasn't there. He had contemplated retirement even earlier in the season, and this game confirmed it further.

  • he talks about it in his books and also his video "above and beyond"

jordan contemplated retirement after his first title in 91. his dad had been pushing him hard to play baseball. thats why dean smith came to teh Knicks playoff game in chicago in 1993 b/c he had never been to a bulls game before and jordan told him to.

thats how you know MJ is the greatest ever. he was so good he ran out of challenges and mastered the game

  • There was nobody like Michael Jordan and there never will be.

    absolutely unbelieveable

  • Ehlo = one of the poorest guys to play ^^ He's in a lot of videos and highlight reels.. but always as the victim

  • I noticed that too man, MJ is still banned from cleveland, they still boo him when he enters the gym.

  • Ehlo says the images of Jordan's tongue still give him nightmares.

  • But Ehlo seems to be a very humble guy. He has understood that he is part of basketball history.

There is this Gatorade(?) commercial showing MJ missing THE SHOT ('89). They interviewed Ehlo who said that ha went crazy when he saw it..like "yeah, he missed it " and that it made him very proud to be part of the MJ-story.

  • yeah I liked Ehlo as a player, he was a hustler. Pretty much a guy you would want on your team

  • hahhaha man MJ shook ehlo bad man, ehlo must have been ices those ankles for a long time once the game finnished LOL

  • hahhaha man MJ shook ehlo bad man, ehlo must have been ices those ankles for a long time once the game finnished LOL

  • lol @ goose givens... his commentary was so " I TOLD YOU SO" lol

  • erdalea, Russell has 11....

And there was less teams back then, and horrible defense.

In MJ's era, the game was improved all around.

    etc.

  • obviously your opinion is shit if you think Russel has 16 titles when the Celtics just got 17 last season...

  • that's not normal. how can he just flick it up like that over a double team when's like 20 feet away from the rim? that guy is..man.....

  • dang the crossover at :25 was crazy. he made ehlo look like he was chasing his hat in the wind. lol.

  • One rival down (Cavs), the other rival coming up (Knicks).

  • MJ gave good interviews...I'm sure he hated doing all those, but at least he seemed sincere and tried to give straight answers

  • Cleveland. . the mistake by the lake ! lol

  • NBA Playoff action is here

  • You realize this is a vid of "The Shot" 2, right? That one happened four years after the original.

  • Heartbreaking for Cleveland!!! Total domination of Jordan over the Cavaliers!!!

  • look at gerald wilkins celebrating at 2:49. . somebody should tell him that MJ will get anohter shot at it ! there's 34 seconds left ! lol

  • He wasn't celebrating Dumbass! He was signaling a play.

  • LOL, i guess shaking your hands and sayin YEAH !!!! is calling a play ! or even throwing your fists in the air to !

lol, was he calling a play for the point guard WHO HAD THE BALL?!?!? last i checked, if the point has the ball he calls the play DUMBASS !

please, please, please tell me you're a cavs fan!!?

  • and if he was calling for a play. . . why would GERALD frickin WILKINS call for a high screen and roll !

you're gonna sit there and tell me he wanted mark price to run a high screen and roll !?!?

    ROFLMAO !!! ... fool PLEASE !!!!!!

  • Stupid ass, look at lenny wilkins after the ball has been rebounded. He spreads his arms and Wilkins does the same as he comes down court. Dumb fuck, don't quit your day job as president of the asshole section of the idiot club.

  • look at gerald wilkins celebrating at 2:49.

    LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

    Celebrating?!

You are as funny as you are IGNORANT!!

  • DAMMM who say the jordan crossover jordan did on 22 seconds of the video????jordan iz dat dude ..nigga nice ..THE BESTTT!

  • This was the end of the Cavaliers untile LeBron came along in 2003

  • If Michael Jordan never took a shot ever, he would of been called the greatest defender ever in the game... He just clamps his player down , steals blocks... just too good..

  • and it's because jordan was never lazy player. he wanted to excel in all areas and it paid off.

  • The lefty dunk, the deep three, the game winning shot, some of the things that make me love MJ. Oh and Scottie's circus shot is awesome too. Hope u have another game coming soon kOrOne thx mate

  • Of course I have. Next will be up soon, another regular season game from 1998.

After that I'll post the entire Conference Finals against the Pacers from the same year. But that will take some time.

  • Man that will be fun to watch, 7 games will take time im sure, but its a great series, thanks mate.

  • very nice no look shot by Scottie Pippen. He was really a great player to watch loved watching him explode to the hoop in his experienced youth 92-96

  • yo PPL!!!! wasnt gary bender the NBA Commentary for that game??? i mjus curious, holla back

  • He was along with Jack "Goose" Givens

  • fuuny thing is the cavs of 1988-93 wouldve wup the hell out of the 2007 cavs. deeper bench. but competition isnt as good as it was back in the days.

  • Of course, the Cavs were actually a pretty good team back then. Unfortunately they had to compete against Jordan and the Bulls.

  • Great job building the suspense in the last minute. When Jordan missed the first one, I'm sure my mouth dropped open. Then,he gets it knocked away. Ehlo and Wilkins got there issue, it seemed that's what they were there to do.

    Peace and God Bless,

    Know Him John 17:3

  • Thanks a lot, although I didn't do anything to build suspense, it's just the story of the game :)

  • No competition?? Holy cow...Jordan's draft class is one of, if not the most talented in league history...Bigger, stronger, faster don't mean shit if you can't play the game the RIGHT way...see the olympic results the last few years. Didnt a much stronger, more athletic USA team get their asses kicked, again?? get a clue

  • Well said, bwink. Kids these days don't know what the hell they're talking about.

  • It's not just about the $. These "kids" these days get paid because they show flashes of Jordan. You put LeBron, Kobe or Nash now in the league then and you've got Jordan. The athletes were not the same caliber as todays NBA players. These kids are younger and stronger and more athletic then all of Jordans competition...to which he had none. Craig Ehlo guarding Jordan is ludicrous.

  • First of all, Jordan had competition back then. The league was a lot stronger in the 90s, especially the East. Everyone will tell you that. You're somewhat right about the athletic aspect, although that's the same scenario in every form of sport. But the athleticism doesn't matter if you're lacking attitude, the willingness to play good hard defense every night.

  • And don't forget that Stern tinkered with the rules after Jordan retired in 1999 to favor the smaller, quicker guards. Perimeter defense is a joke nowadays, you can't touch anyone if your name isn't Bowen.

And if we're talking about offense it's not even close. Players were much better shooters back then, more fundamentally sound and overall smarter decision makers on the court.

'Ludicrous' is your lack of knowledge of the game.

  • Have you noticed how much more mature the players looked back then compared to now? You watch this video and you can see the work ethics involved here. I think that is what is missing today. Like Cleveland is missing a real point guard.

  • Mark Price was one of a kind but injuries had him at this point. Ehlo very underrated somewhat of a chucker but played with heart. Not a Cleveland fan but I miss these guys, it all seemed to end when Daugherty retired

  • Stronger? More Athletic? LOL!!! Man, you kids crack me up with the outright stupid s*** y'all post on here. When people don't have a sense of history about a particular subject, there taste in the subject tends to suck. No dick..your comment is what's ridiculous..

  • You do not need to be athletic to be a great defender. That's the kind of overly simplistic thinking that plague youngsters today. It's why they can't appreciate teams like the Spurs. Are you telling me guys like Bowen, Prince, Artest, etc. are known for their athleticism? No, and the truth is players today are not stronger.

  • I hate it when youngsters say players now are bigger, faster, stronger. They may be faster and bigger, but I don't think any of the guys playing now are any stronger than they were back in the 80s. Defense is all about positioning, and being aware of where you're teammates are. Anybody with basketball IQ can tell you that.

  • you are out of your mind, Ehlo was of of the best defenders at that time

  • NBA sucks now. Nothing but thugs.. Players from the 90's had so much class.

  • honestly...yea the NBA during the 2000s isn't that exciting..I find myself enjoying watching old games from the 90s..man MJ keeps it in so much suspense!! Its incredible!

  • the best playa evaaaa

  • jordan was pimp

  • I loved this era of basketball. Shame it's not as much about the ball anymore!! Seems to more about the money. Pippen and Jordan rocked!

  • noone could beat pippen and jordan during that time, jordan took malone and stockton on by himself during the 1997 finals

  • larsulrichfan.. MJ didn't take on the jazz by himself.. he had a team and a coach.. he scored points yes.. and played good defense and game 5 did it as well.. but wasn't scottie there in game 2? and the other games? MJ did a lot.. So did Scottie in leading the team.. right?

  • No one can beat Jordan

  • Jordan was unreal.

  • i hate basketball now, but 90's Bulls made the difference. i live in chicago and i could watch these guys for hours. today its just too full of players in it for the money and fame. you didn't see many fights like we have now back then. i really wish we could get these bulls back.

  • I agree totally. I don't watch basketball anymore, these guys now really do it b/c of the money and fame. Ya they're good, but they're all about themselves.

  • I miss Bird, Magic, Jordan, Barkley...damn that was great basketball.

  • not to mention Stockton, Malone, Ewing, Drexler, Olajuwon, Mark Price, Daugherty.. so many great All-Stars back in the late 80s and early 90s... even the role players were better back then.. guys like Kevin Johnson, Terry Porter, I could go on and on

  • I miss good NBA basketball like this. Thanks for posting.

  • And just think, he played this series with a severely bruised wrist. In fact, his shooting wrist & still delevered mightily in the clutch..

  • can someone tell me why the refs call foul after every hand check these days as compared to the old days?? i really don't understand this and it's getting frustrating...Jordan in today's era woulda average 50 a game just on freethrows i guess ...

  • I'm with you on that one. I hate the hand check rule. But the worst part is the inconsistency of calls. Bowen gets away with so many bullshit because of his reputation as a great defender, it's a joke. On the other hand you have Wade and Bryant shoot 15-20 freethrows on ridiculous calls. I can't stand it.

  • Great JOb!!!! especially that rare crossover at 00:24 i neveer saw it before even in the tons of MJ mixes I watched. Keep it up you and HOopsencyclopedia. We miss da days of Jordan. No one in the league is even close to the excitement Jordan brought to watching fans, whether you were a bulls fan or not. I mean KObe's best games are regular games to Jordan. And no one can prove me wrong on this. good job guyz.

  • At the 1:50 mark that was a nice 3 pointer before time expired
