How'd you manage to fly with all that wind? I just got a champ for Christmas and I have a tough time just keeping it under control on a semi windy day :p I live in high point somim just a couple hours from the outer banks!

@Xela877 It was actually nice and calm that morning with very little wind. Ahh the Champ! I LOVE that plane. It was my first and you are going to flat out love it. You can't fly it in a lot of wind so it's really for calm evenings or calm mornings. I have nav lights on my Champ and fly it at least once a week. A quick tip though if you do want to fly it in a little wind (7mph or less), tape a dime to the bottom of the nose just under the prop in front of the battery tray and that will help a lot

Great stuff! Spent a week on OBX in '07. It's as much fun as the Vineyard or Nantucket!

How high up are you flying? I don't think I've had my SC LP much higher than 200-250. I shoot some 808 cam stuff over Vero Beach, FL.

@KMac1972 Thanks! I guess I was up around 100'-150'. I've had her up towards 1000' before but man she's really hard to see at that altitude. Looks like a bird LOL. I use the 808 cam myself. Would love to see some of your videos.

@mhall914 Mike, I made an attempt to get my SC LP as high as I could. I could see the ocean from my inland neighborhood, so I guess it was about 500 feet? Maybe 600?

Excellent video - I miss Outer Banks! We lived in Virginia and went there for vacation. Stayed in Duck one year, and Nags Head the next. I have a video of my Easy Star flying at Jockey's Ridge. I love Outer Banks!

@eagleswingsrc I am. I haven't taken much video this season because my keyfob cam is having issues with the battery so once my new camera arrives, I'll be back in business.
