@Fl4SHEff3ct would you like to know how to get any program including the internet and epsxe not not lag or lag significantly less? press ctrl+alt+delete and open the task manager. click the processes tab. right click on the program and go to set priority. click either above normal or high and there shouldn't be as much or any lag.

if you want to stop the sound from playing when you close it go to task maneger and go to prosesses and close all the ones that say epsxe.exe

I did all of this, and everything works great... but I don't hear shit when people are talking, or during cutscenes. It plays all of the background sound, and music during gameplay, but not cutscenes.

Yeah I got it fixed. I had to download and install a sound driver.

P.E. Op S DSound Audio Driver 1.9 Is what I have now, and it works great.

I've had mine working for the last month or so. Try downloading the missing file, and then manually dragging it from the place you downloaded it to, into the epsxe folder. It'll work just like that.

Try downloading ePSXe 1.5.2 People always have trouble running FF9 on their emulator using 1.6

i have a question... my Chrono Cross has an error that says "DIRECT SOUND CREATE" and then a dialog box opens up that gives me two options: to close and to debug. I've extracted it TWICE but it still doesnt work. Any advice?
