  • Hey Tim,

Awsome updates and very inspiring! Would like to ask you a few questions though

  • Great videos, i watched most of them and found them really inspiring, well done.

My wife and i start a 21 day juice fast tomorrow, just wondering did you ever use broccoli ? Thanks for sharing and doing your videos.

  • Very nice. I would like 2 know how u did it. Have u gained any weight back? How do u keep it off once u loose the weight. Thank U, I would 2 try it .

  • hey, this was a amazing video and concrates for your weight loss you did amazing you have inspired me to do this.:) i have 1 ? though what was everything you did did you ever eat any junk food or anything. was it all just veggies and nothing else. and is v8 juice good for this diet :) please help i would really like to no :) thanks

  • Hats off for you good control well done and thanx for sharing this great videos

  • is it terribly bad to do a juice fast with store bought? i know there's sugars and added preservatives but i dont have a juicer :S

  • this brought me into tears... i hope to do the same. i am hppy for you. you are such an inspiration

  • Very inspiring!

  • 1. did you also exercise during the week? Please explain what you did. 2. Who is the background music by? I want this song/album....I'm a big Al Dimeola fan.

  • I bet he is now singing: "I am not half the man I used to beee"

  • Fantastic and well done! I just got my juicer yesterday and was searching for inspiration and tips and found you. I lost 33lbs diet and exercising and now want to turn it up a knotch for 2012. I hope this works for me :) ill start slowly maybe 10 days. Thanks.

  • first congrats on the weight loss/health improvements. I do have a question though, & please don't take this as a criticism, I'm just curious. What did you do for protein, or did you simply go without for 2 months? It seems like that could be extremely unhealthy. Did you have to have a juice/shake/whatever every couple of hours to keep from being hungry? Did you experience any deficiencies during this time? I like the idea, but have concerns re living on nothing but juice for that long.

  • My thoughts also, where was your protein coming from as you may have lost a whole lot of muscle mass also slowing down your metabolism for the future when you you go back to eating some of those foods that got you out of shape. Im also not trying to "shit on your efforts" - congrats, but bring back the protein and implement a strength training program to promote muscle mass for optimal health. Cheers.

  • @fotogrl1 You need extremely little protein, about 0.75 grams a day pr kilo body weight, and the body provides about 2/3 of that by recycling damaged body cells. The Body also have a storage of Amino Acids.. protein deficiency is unheard of. :)

  • all i can say is wow, i and a 39 year old female with simular health issues i suffer from high bp, and just recently found out i have high cholesterol. after viewing your video u have inspired me to juice. i recently bought me a juicer ad now i am going to try a juice fast. you look fantastic and i am so happy for u. it's my turn now wish me luck. Thanks for sharing

  • So happy for you!! You are an inspiration.

  • I found your videos yesterday, I'm up to 21 day. I'm 54 265 lbs. I've had 9 surgeries (5 ankle/leg, 2 shoulder, L4-S1 Fusion, Gallbadder surgeries just in the last 5 years. High BP, Diabitic 2, on all kind of medicine for pain, depression, and more. I take more Rx than my dad did when he was 90. I've gained about 20 lbs thru all these surgeries. I'm Fat, Sick and Feed up with it. I've made my mind up, I'm going to start juicing Monday Morning. Thanks for sharing your life changing program!

  • Awesome!

  • Another thing I thought I would mention is that I have started exercise. When I started I was too fat and sluggish. But now I go to the gym and do my 25 minutes on the treadmill - just walking. It's winter and I had a cold, otherwise I would walk outside. I will move on to the floor exercises and the machines and rowing, but first of all I just want to rebuild the habit of actually going every day. Went to doctor yesterday and blood pressure is coming down gradually.

  • I have lost 39 lbs since I started. On the modified Gerson of course the loss was a lot slower as it was not intended to be a 'fast', but rather the idea was hyperalimentation. After I saw 'fat sick and nearly dead ' I decided to start a fast. But like I said, I started with the Gerson diet - the one designed for metabolic syndrome. I take supplements including some flax oil, B12 and so on. The oil may slow down weight loss. I can do a vid showing the Gerson books if you are interested. - LL

  • Louise - continued... I do get hungry. I do crave junk sometimes. I craved chips for a long time, and sausages. Sometimes I crave meat. But it is 'head hunger' and the cravings are manageable. I went on the juice fast for 9 days first of all, and then broke it for 3 days as I was going away. I do sometimes eat vegetables and this is mainly if I am out somewhere and can't do juicing then I eat the veg I would have juiced. Sometimes I take carrot or beet juice. Green does not travel! - LL

  • Hi Tim. Thanks for your email. I am still on my juice fast/feast. It started out as just a healthy eating diet with juices added. What I went on first was a modified version of the Gerson diet. This involves eating 3 meals a day and also having fruit and veg juices. This has been around for a long time. After a while on it, I realized that by cutting out the solid element I could increase the weight loss. I found your vids and watch them on my corresponding day. Today - day 38. - LL

  • Great job, just don't go back to your old eating habbits ! i have lost alot of weight also and got rid of my asthma, lower blood pressure, clear skin etc !

  • Same question as lonely 971, did you do excercise during your juice cleanse?

  • Did u go for any excercise during the diet?

  • Starting this tomorrow!

  • This is seriously the best before and after video on u-tube!

  • @mwrkhan Thanks!

  • I want to know whether you wore a different shirt every time! - LL

  • @llotusflower I tried to, not sure if I succeeded! Thing was about 1/2 the shirts I threw away because they ended up being way to big!! ha ha

  • @overwhelmingtraffic - I think you did succeed - but a couple of times I was not sure whether you wore the Google shirt twice - I thought maybe you had more than one Google shirt, and sometimes you wore a T-shirt underneath another shirt. But let's say I think you succeeded! Well done - for the fast that is. I am not losing nearly as much as you on mine. But enough to keep me very happy! - LL

  • thats great :D good on you, im happy 4 u and you i bet you have inspired thouands of people

  • @lovethelaugh1 I'd like to think I have helped a lot of people :) Thanks for dropping by.

  • I tried switching to raw food - smoothies and everything - for 4 weeks. Big mistake. I felt terrible and actually gained weight. I now eat a sensible cooked diet and have slowly lost weight. Guess it works for some but not for others.

  • @martynblackburn1977 Most likely (I am guessing) you had too much fruit or nuts which are high in sugar/calories. Generally you will lose weight but there is no guarantees and what you eat (quantities, etc) is still important - Still if what you are doing is working now that is cool! There is no one way to lose weight that is for sure.

  • @overwhelmingtraffic Not really. A banana in the morning. Half Watermelon and 3 apples blended together with sticks of celery and a handful of spinach or some other green leaves. I felt cleaner and my hair and skin looked better but my energy levels were terrible.

  • Hello ty for your videos, I began juicing yesterday. Feel great so far, but I do feel like I am wasting the pulp of the vegetables. During a juice fast will it be counterproductive to make a soup/stew from the pulp, with a little seasoning? Im sure the fiber will make me feel full, but all the resources I read say NO to any food during juice fast in order to give gi tract a break. Any advice?

  • @untouchblz Seemed to have missed replying to you, sorry :( I normally say to people there is no correct way to juice, if you want do do a soup/stew that is cool - For me it was about 100% compliance, but my method is just one way. Try it and see how you go. How is it going anyway? Put it this way, I do not believe there is any scary medical reason not to do what you are suggesting (but of course I am not a doctor)...

  • @overwhelmingtraffic Hello, I did strictly juice for about three days. Then I started incorporating raw vegetables and fruit. Now, I am doing a bit of cooked food as well, but it is all a low calorie daily intake. I have lost close to 17-18lbs. I want to retry the strictly juice again, I feel like my appetite and stomach has adjusted now to be able to do it.

  • You are a hero! I'm 23 and 260 lbs and miserable, iv decided since my great new job it's time to get this weight off! I plan on following what you've done and hope to loose about 60-70 lbs by spring. I also plan on working out to help the process. Thank you for being my inspiration!

  • I will definitely be letting you know how I'm doing all through out my journey bc you are the one who inspired me. It means a lot how motivating you are. I felt hopeless. When times get hard, I'll watch your videos. I have to do this for myself. I'm miserable and too young to be. Yanno, my whole life I've watched ppl I love just give up on themselves and life. I have something to prove to everyone and especially myself. This is a start to my beautiful beginning. Thanks 4 changing my life.

  • You are so inspiring! I didn't even hear of juice fasting until "fat sick &nearly dead" & I went to buy a juicer. I have 80 pounds to lose. 18yrs old, 220 pounds, 5'5". I'll start my juice fast tomorrow!:) which days were hardest for you? How much green and fruit juice should I drink a day? Should I lose 40 pounds by christmas? And after your juice fast have u kept most of it off? Thanks so much Tim! I admire u!

  • @savchaz10609 Thank you for your kind words. I was drinking 3 x 16-20 oz (500-600 mls) of juice per day and it kept me happy and not hungry - For the 1st week or two I was a little hungry at times but eventually that went away. I think you could go close to 40 pounds for sure by Christmas. I was 50+ pounds in 56 days so it's possible. My weight is still on the way down after the juice fast so I have kept 100% off and more since and life is great! :)

  • @savchaz10609 That documentary film is soooooooo inspiring! I don't have weight to lose but do get migraines and have decided to do a 15 day juice feast which started today! I wish you success my friend! Wish everyone would wake up and do this, at least for 3 days if not longer!!

  • Congratulations

  • @DrayTheTruth Thanks!

  • Absolutely amazing Tim. Thank you for all your efforts in documenting your progress & success. Truely inspiring. Btw, how tall are you and since finishing with Day 56 are you still juicing to maintain your weight and if so to what schedule? Cheers from the UK and again tremendous job.

  • @PS987654321PS Hi there, I am 5 foot 10 inches (178 cm) and I am no longer juicing, but enjoying a vegan llifestyle, weight loss has slowed, but I am building muscle now with weights, etc. See current below on my current exercise schedule. Current weight is 85Kgs (about 187 pounds). Still have some to go but it's coming off slowly and that is fine with me :) Appreciate your kind words!

  • Amazing results but I have a question, did you do any form of exercise to speed up to weight loss or all liquids?

  • @MrBarracaFlocka I mainly did walking during my juice fast - Now I have finished I am doing cardio each day 5 days per week (30-40 mins) , an hours walk and more cardio in the evening. And some weights - But I did not start out doing that. Hope this helps and thanks for the kind words.

  • Great Job! i'm happy for you! :) im 12 years old boy , and im lifting weights and im training my belly and my ''breast''. I need to make them small and my belly small. im starting getting six pack and muscles. Do you have an advice for me , that i can do to lose weight? Cheers , please answer me! :)

  • @Doodle12312

    sprints.

  • @Doodle12312 I think watch what you are eating and some exercise would really help. Weights will help build muscle so remember muscle weighs more than fat so you may not see instant results on the scales, but know your getting there. Eat healthy in conjunction with what you are doing and regular walking would do you good I reckon. Good luck and thanks for dropping by.

  • Hey! amazing weightloss, congrats!! I've decided to buy a good juicer tomorrow to get started with it. just wanted to ask thou is it completely safe to juice fast for however long? I know it must be or you wouldnt have done it. but just wanted to check cos no food at all seems daunting to me!! :) so wanted to make sure i wasn't starving my body as such. Going to watch some more of your videos now for inspiration!!

  • @crazydiva23 Thanks appreciate that! Yes it's safe but eventually you will want to be eating solid foods again - I did it perfectly safely for 56days! You are giving your body GREAT AMOUNTS of the stuff it actually craves (vitamins, minerals, protein, etc). e.g. The GOOD STUFF!

  • Way To GO! Videos like your's will help keep me going. I am on day 6 and have lost 19 pounds already. Also, what songs are used in this video if you don't mind sharing?

  • @voxslain Thanks for that, 19 pounds in only 6 days fantastic!! For the music see the credits at the end of the video and google it. It's free music...

  • What a difference!!! great job :) your determination is a great example. you are living proof that our body needs to be free of junk processed foods and get the right foods to do what it was made to do.

  • @Eatright4me Thanks, yes I am pleased with the results. Just goes to show it never is too late to start looking after your body. You will get rewarded with better health, happiness and an increased life span! Appreciate you dropping by.

  • What was your blood pressure reading before you started the juicing diet?

  • @Hyperborea2012 It was around 140 or 150 over ?? (not sure of the second figure). The doctor said it was within limits but on the higher side of "normal". I wish I had of tested it properly before starting. In any event it's perfect now :)

  • wow I like this video. very helpful.

  • wooow im impressed man. i feel like a loser i only managed to lose 13.5 kg aka 30 pounds and im at day 90 something but im 2kg away from being normal to get bmi 24.9.

seriously if im proud of you and i don't know you imagine how proud you should be of your self and how your family is proud of you

  • @haha1yeeyee1sobate hey that is still good weight loss for sure. The closer you are to your goal weight the less you seem to lose per day, so it's all good. Thanks for your kind words and you know what I am proud of you and what you have achieved, well done! I certainly feel like a new person and know I have extended my life now and hopefully I can help a lot of people do the same! Appreciate your support!!

  • Hey man i have recently been turned on to this whole juice fasting thing and i even went out and bought me my own juicer. only thing is i dont know what i should or shouldnt mix together. i tried a few combos but the only ones that taste ne good are ones with alot of fruit. if you have any ideas can u shoot em too me at sherrillderek@yahoo.com

  • @TheOnlyFatMan10 I agree, I need to put apples and beets into my juice to make it taste good. Green juice by itself is either bland as hell or tastes like shit if you put crap like kale in it.

  • @TheOnlyFatMan10 For recipes check my day 40 video and also subscribe to my channel as I am releasing a free juice fasting ebook soon which will include recipes and will announce it to my channel when it's ready.

  • I need recipes, and how much juice did you drink per day? BTW, YOU LOOK GREAT! Shalom!

  • @Yahsgirl66 Thanks for your support. For recipes check my day 40 video and also subscribe to my channel as I am releasing a free juice fasting ebook soon which will include recipes and will announce it to my channel when it's ready.

  • Thanks for the response.

Another question, How much juice did you drink on a daily basis? I'm doing two litres but man it goes quick.

  • I was watching this video looking at how much weight you lost per day and at certain milestones. I was comparing it to Fat, sick and nearly dead milestones. You started off fast just like Joe Cross but then slowed down, I was wondering if you might know.

I'm wondering because I'm not losing very fast but I put a lot of Apples and beets into my juice to make it taste good, probably juice 8 apples a day.. would that slow me down?

+ whos the guitar player? Al Di Meola?

  • @ZeroTemp In my opinion that is too many apples. To speed up your weight loss try much more vegetable than fruit and I think that will help. Beets as far as I know should be ok. I had a max of 3-4 apples per day. Try lemon, lime and grapefruit (any or all) to help things taste better. Hope this helps. Regarding the guitar, check the credits at the end, I got the music off the internet (free) and credited the author. Thanks for dropping by!

  • Congrats! on your weight loss and your health getting so much better. I haven't done the juice fast, but I plan on it. Congrats again!

  • @texmexfemale Thanks a lot for your support :) A juice fast is really worthwhile I believe both for weight loss and for health reasons.

  • Hi Tim. You've inspired me to start my own video diary of my weight loss. I've been on a bit of a slower track than you, although we started out at about the same weight! You know, I've done these quick diets before... lost 16kgs in 8 weeks on the Liver Cleansing Diet... but every time the weight has just piled back on. You better have a good plan for after your fast! This time I've taken the slow and steady option. Slower than I planned, but consistent weight loss over 8 months! Cheers, Brett

  • @WeightLossThatSticks Thanks Brett, appreciate you dropping by, I just subscribed to your channel and will be following your progress. You have done very well so far. I agree it's vital to have a plan, I too have had success with weight loss and then gained it all back. I feel sure this time I have my act together, no diary, no meats, plenty of vegetables and fruit, nuts, legumes, seeds, etc. Just what nature intended. Good luck and thanks again for dropping by...

  • Opps hit enter... Down 8.5 lbs and feeling remarkably well. Thanks fir sharing....I was planning on 10 days but I'm thinking I cud do more. Need to loose nearly 80 lbs! Thanks so much for sharing I will be watching more of your daily experience

  • @mlwelter ha ha, I answered before seeing this again. Great start 8.5 lbs in only 5 days! Good work, just think you are already 10% of the way there. Keep at it and I am sure you will succeed. Drop by anytime you are most welcome and I am glad to do my little bit to help out :)

  • You have encouraged me to take a daily picture. I'm on day...uh...5,

  • @mlwelter Great to hear it, it is fantastic having a record of what you looked like and is well worth it, particularly as you move on and see the dramatic difference. Best of luck to you for the rest of your fast and I am here if you have questions...

  • are u fasting and only drinking water? or are u fasting on a health juice?

  • @dsjkdfjdsklakkdshlfk Actually I have finished my 56 day juice fast now and am now easting solid foods again. I am eating plenty of fruit and vegetables, legumes, nuts, and seeds, no dairy or meat at this stage (I doubt I will have diary again but may occasionally have meat). Feeling fantastic. If you want to see what I used to have in my juice, check out my day 40 video as it shows me juicing :)

  • @overwhelmingtraffic tyvm you did a great job i'm starting mine today i'm going with water.

  • @dsjkdfjdsklakkdshlfk Best of luck to you, lets us know how you get on!

  • TIM... A HUGE INTERNET HUG all the way from Washington, DC. You have documented your journey well... I've been following you and wanted to say "Thanks a bunch for inspiring me"... I'm a new vegetarian (almost a year) but must do better. FAST, here I come!!! You are truly appreciated and all the best to you. Please keep posting!!!

  • @chamogul Ahh thanks for the virtual hug! Appreciate your support. I will keep on posting videos as long as people are enjoying them and I hope they change peoples lives for the better! I am sure you will succeed in whatever goal you set for yourself. Best of success with it!

  • Anyone interested in juice fasting needs to check out the documentary Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead. Very informative and very inspiring.

  • @riannorris Yes I agree a great movie, it was inspiring for me to begin my journey for sure. I hope my videos do the same thing as well for everyone watching.

  • Found this video from your article on my site. Encouraging video to improve health.

  • @AtaArticles Appreciate your support, yes I want to spread the word to help thousands of people like me to get back their health, confidence, and energy and prolong their life!

  • I just found you by accident and so I commented on a video on day four without just looking to yesterdays video sorry. I just wanted to know how it was going....now I know. Congratulations! This was a very well done video with clearly a lot of work reflected in it. I am anxious to hear how you came off the fast! My husband is on day 37 and has been faithful to not cheat on this juice fast and has lost around 37 pounds average but easily has another 100 to go. We need encouragement like you!

  • @julietesterman ah yes I see that. thanks for your kind words about the video, I want to inspire people to do the same as I did. I have a "before" topless shot done as well but do you think I can find the photo? Nope. Would have liked to include that one as well. Thanks so much for sharing your hunsbands journey he is doing amazingly well!! Please make this video your favorite and like it and comment, that all helps! Thanks for dropping by!

  • OK Tim...A video production? Now you're just showing off! lol You know I enjoy your videos, but I'm often surprised at the number of views. I really think these videos can help/inspire a lot of people, but they just don't seem to be reaching the masses. I wonder if it's because of the limit number of tag or something...we should all brainstorm on how to get these videos seem by more youtubers. I think a good start might be to add this video as a video response to similar videos (cont.)

  • @hipsociety (cont. 2nd part). You wouldn't be infringing on another persons video because they have to approve your request first, but once it's on, every view they have will potentially view your video response...and their are MANY raw food, juicer videos out there with very large following....just a thought.

  • @hipsociety I will be doing what you mentioned it makes a lot of sense!

  • @hipsociety ha ha, thanks for that. I think it's important to pump up people. Yes more video views would be a great idea, so I am open to discussing way to spread the word and help others. The video response is a good idea, and I will research further into how to spread the word. I am hoping it might go viral that would be fantastic and help so many people! It will come I am sure! Thanks again.

  • Awesome!!

May I suggest getting yourself a nice 90 minute massage to encourage the cleansing? I think you deserve it

  • @angelbe88 Thanks for that, I might well do that. I do think I was pretty cleansed out after 56 days but I reckon a massage might be a great idea!

  • Tim, where do I go to find information on how to do a juice fast? I would like to plan out a diet and get all the information I need before I start. Thanks!!

  • @duster7469 I suggest you watch some of my videos, in particular if you are looking for a recipe try my day 40 video. I decided to just start and learned along the way and this worked out well for me. You can ask me any questions you may have as well, I will help however I can. Best of luck with your journey and thanks for dropping by!

  • Tim, Congrats to you!! You did it. Keep in touch. Make a few videos and let us know how you are doing.

  • @wahopin Appreciate your support and yes I will be continuing the videos !

  • Journey well documented and well done. You have certainly encouraged me. I already have a great juicer. I will be getting it out and starting my juice fast this week, though not necessarily putting it on youtube. I wish you the best and for your health's sake, sincerely hope you can make this work for you. It certainly is a way of life that is worth emulating. Many thanks!!

  • @22justus2 Thanks :) Glad the videos have helped and encouraged you. You don't need to put videos on youtube to succeed, do whatever you think is right. I am here if you need any questions answered and I wish you the best of success! Thanks again for your support!

  • Whoa. Cool video. Bravo...neat to see the gradual progression (and great choice of music).

  • @coltsbobbie Thanks :) I love looking at that video myself. I also love knowing others can watch this and see proof that it really can work and hopefully get inspired to change their lives as well! Thanks for your support.

  • Tim this is what it is all about, being more healthy. Good to see you will continue sharing your journey. Congratulations on your success so far. Godspeed reaching all of your goals. You are looking great!

  • @WayneTillis Yes health is where it's at that is for sure. For so long I neglected my health, but no more it's now my #1 priority. Appreciate your kind words and great support, thanks very much !

  • I saw the movie "Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead" last weekend, Sunday 8/28/11. I weighed 335 lbs when I weighed myself afterwards. I decided to go to the store and start juicing that Monday. I started slowly by drinking green juice for breakfast and lunch and eating a regular dinners. I also had a BBQ this Labor Day Weekend which didn't help. This Sunday I watched all your vids and am AMAZED. It's exactly 1 week later and I weigh 328 (-7lbs). Now that I see the potential I'm going full Bore.

  • @amntomek What an incredible movie, I have watched it as well and it has driven me to change as well. Good on you for starting and you have already got some good results. Keep at it and you will reach your goal. If you go off track thats ok just get back on track and continue. I am glad you got some help from my videos. Keep up the good work and thanks for dropping by !

  • Well done Tim

  • @BrilliantCards Appreciate your kind words and support. Thanks!

  • You are awesome..thanks for sharing your journey...it will be instrumental in my own transformation..please continue to post as it will be interesting to see your continued success....

  • @addypennyful Thanks so much for your kind words, I appreciate it. Glad they have helped you. Yes I will continue to post :)
