remove all the vulgarity, and tv funhouse could honestly could pass for a children's show. unfortunately, it was several years ahead of its time. it didn't last mainly because each episode went over budget. i look forward to whatever creator Robert Smigel does in the future.
The only reason this show died early was because the creators found doing this show tedious and stressful,especially when it came to the involvement of all those live animals(animal handlers? They were more like animal "havers" according to them). I have the dvd and love every bit of it,I feel like a 12-year-old again watching the Anipals go on their fucked-up adventures.

Christmas Cheer, You Eat What You Are, The Nemonics - all brilliant. Why did it fail? probably because there was nothing like it at the time, and it was one of those shows that took a little getting used to.
Upright Citizens Brigade is, I have season one, but cant find season two because stores didnt carry it for long after it came out. Strangers with candy is too if your interested.

Can anyone confirm what was/is the official release date for this? Is it out or will it be out soon? I just one an auction for this on eBay, so I'm wondering if I'm going to have to wait for it to be released or if it's out now. Damn! I guess I'm going to have to contact the seller to find out.
Wow, this show has 4 more fans than I thought... This was the best show I have ever seen. Robert Goulet, John Ritter and George Wendt (Norm from Cheers) did their best work by far on this show...
I love this show. I swear to the FSM, if I ever win the lottery, I am going to bribe Mr. Smigel to make more of them! I'll probably have to settle with those extras, though. Plus, I think Smigel is working on that FOX show (animals? I think is the title) ....but since Fox lost it's balls a long time ago, it probably won't be quite as good.
Holy shit anipals was hilarious. The episode with the bunny terrorist was my favorite, they blew themselves up before saying, babeesh baboom!

Like when I saw SouthPark for the first time, I was like "WTF kind of animation is this?" But yeah, you get used to it and appreciate it.
Too bad there weren't more made. But I am so grateful they finally released this on DVD! now to go find a copy! =D
