  • I always hope that somebody will make a porn version where the movie starts with kissing and then goes into perv status, instead of how they really went. Light perv status at the beginning, (hmmm, I must study this new phenomenon of kids dancing on the sand...) that ends in kissing. I'd feature Von Zipper as the ultimate party killer...etc..

  • This remains a closing AIP 'Beach Movie Classic and after many year, finally is available for those of us who recogize it's value.

  • Jim Reese played the keyboard? After this video, I'm still not convinced he does...

  • Nancy Sinatra used to encourage her male lovers to yell GERONIMO whenever they were on the verge of shooting a thick load of cum in her mouth.

  • AH, the 60s when everyone was an ectomorph

  • I had a blue shirt with white piping just like Bobby Fuller in the mid 60s. Wished I still had it . We called it a "surfer shirt" in Minnesota, having never seen the surf.

  • I'll bet Keane got the money and the royalties! Bobby was going to cancel the contract with Del-Fi the day he was murdered..

    In any crime...FOLLOW THE MONEY!!

  • @JHINTON69 CAREFULL WHAT U SAY MISTA !

  • It's GAY but I LIKE IT !!

  • great summer tune

  • One thing I've wondered about this song... was it originally intended for "Beach Blanket Bingo"? It had a subplot about skydiving, so a song about yelling "Geronimo!" (like when you jump out of a plane) would fit the context. I could see Annette or (more likely) Donna Loren performing it.

  • Everyone of all of your comments are dead right on correct in one form or another. Bobby and the guys were NOT singing it was all pre-recorded stuff by the studio. The rest of what you guys are saying is....well you do know your BF4 stuff thats for sure!

  • @bffour You, of all people, would be the one to know what is true about Bobby.

  • I'm a great fan both of Bobby and Nancy and got a lotta them records but never found this song, anyone knows why this was never reprinted ?

  • I love the way people danced in the 60s!

  • Nancy! You go girl!!!!!!

  • Which one of them is Tommy Kirk?

  • He's not in this scene.

  • this is great!!!

a true supergroup if there ever was one!!!

As for people who say this is crap, well all i can say is that i can't tell the difference anymore between what's good and what's crap. There's just music i like and music i don't like, and i happen like this...

Its a hell of a lot better than music tv these days. at least they looked like they were having fun...

  • @richardnixon17 it's a movie, it was scripted and they rehearsed so it looked like they were having fun. In reality, it probably was fun. I thought the Bobby Fuller Four were under utilized in this movie, but all those bikini girl movies were fun.

  • I think its a cute song...

  • Whitey A Turkey! (LOL "White Shadow, Ken Reeves Clip) Had to scream that. I agree, they were pretty cool, but I don't know about this one.

  • How on earth did such a good group get involved with such garbage?

  • Their manager and record label owner, Bob Keane is responsible for this.

  • I dig Bobby's guitar..anyone know what make it is??

  • That's a Teisco Del Ray copy of the VOX ...Bobby was offed cause he was messin' around with Nancy, they say...

  • It looks like a Vox, similar to that played by Brian Jones (Rolling Stones) and other Brits in the mid sixties.

  • what an absolutely dreadful song - not a highlite of either Bobby Fuller's or Nancy's recording days

  • Don't be so harsh. It's great--a great example of how the recording label higher-ups can take the artists' talent and innovation and turn it into pure crap.

  • I guess you guys aren't aware that this ISN'T a song by Bobby Fuller which explains why it sucks. He detested Vox equipment as well and was forced to do this film appearance miming to a song that wasn't even by his band or with equipment they actually used.

  • @fiendwithoutaface66 It's a beach movie song. It's not supposed to be great. It's supposed to be fun.

  • @HOGEFAN I think Bobby Fuller would want people to not get the impression that this is one of his songs if he could. A lot of people seem to think this is a song by him, nothing wrong with stating that it's not and that it's way below his actual music which is amazing whereas this is honestly shit.

  • @fiendwithoutaface66 How was he forced to do this film appearance? I think Bobby Fuller would be surprised that many people have ever seen, heard of, or remember the Ghost in the Invisible Bikini. It's admirable that he'd sign on to this project, which shows that he didn't take himself too seriously. Or he got paid pretty well. :)

  • he only did it because he was told he would be doing his own songs. When he got to the set he found he would be miming to songs that weren't his and using Vox equipment which he detested and thought was garbage. I mean does Jim Reese play keyboards either? It's pretty ridiculous. Backing out at that point meant causing some trouble.

  • Maybe he was paid enough to realize that it wasn't worth the trouble to back out. At any rate, I'm sure if he backed out, they could've had the Nooney RIcket 4 at the studio the same day.

    I get your point though.

  • HOGEFAN, what you don't realize is that Bobby was under contract to Delphi Records, owned by Bob Keane and it was Keane who made this deal for the BF4 to appear in this two-bit movie, without being straight with Bobby, who was still learning the ropes about Hollywood at this point. I think the truth is that Bob Keane never really knew how to market anyone with Bobby's talent, and was just trying anything and everything.

  • Is that Teri Garr dancing in the background?

  • Gotta love the Technicolor without the Technicolor lens.Thats why they are so tall and skinny.

  • This has nothing to do with color. You're thinking of Cinemascope (anamorphic widescreen). The image is in the wrong aspect ratio (horizontal-to-vertical proportion). Only in this case, the problem is with the digital encoding and decoding, not with projection lenses.

  • Nancy was cute and Bobby Fuller was great, but this song really sucks.

  • it's not a Bobby Fuller song and they're not using their own gear either

  • I thought that guy was fingering the BBQ

  • Many videos here are squashed horizontally. Something wrong with decodeing widescreen.

  • Whaaa????

  • Nancy Sinatra is gorgeous as either a blonde or brunette... to this day she's a beautiful woman. Her voice is exceptional and pleasing to the ear, I could listen to her sing the phone book and love it.

  • What do you look like, grease pig? You probably sound like a cat with laryngitis.

  • Nancy was a babe. Yummy!

  • what the hey ! Nancy is still a babe, in 2007

  • The Ghost in the Invisible Bikini!!! I love this movie. And I love Nancy. Thanks for posting this, I wish this song would have made it to 45 RPM records.

  • If I'm not mistaken, the blonde in the red bikini that appears at the 00:30 point in this clip is Teri Garr.

  • Bobby's girlfriend was Nancy but her father, Frank, broke them up and threatened Bobby. When Bob was found dead the cops said it was a suicide. But no proof was ever produced.

  • Any more info on this? I had been aware of Bobby's involvement with a girl who had powerful connections, but I had no idea it was Nancy Sinatra. Wow.

  • look up Frank Sinatra and his mob connections. Google mob, Sinatra, and Bobby Fuller. Very interesting stories that detail Sinatra's mob links.

  • I would dare say, that the two deaths from the 1960s,that even today, nobody can atempt to pin the blame on,are M.monroe, and bobby Fuller. Cant incriminate the Kennedys or Sinatra. Imagine the howls of outrage,if a Fuller film is ever made, & they point the finger at Frank!!!Yeah, how obvious it is!For such a cover up, a smear job that endures as a suicide to many to this day, Someone with REAL power was at work.

  • This makes a lot of sense, since Frank Sinatra really hated rock music. So it's no wonder that he didn't want an up and coming young rock and roll star like Bobby Fuller dating his daughter.

  • I tried to send a link but It's not allowed.

    Look up DelFi records also.

  • That's Greg Kihn playing guitar! He was famous for "Our Love's in Jeopardy"

  • Greg Kihn! My good man you are mistaken. That's Bobby Fuller goofin' it up on the Vox phantom. Although there is a slight resemblance, Greg Kihn would have been only 16 when this film was shot.

  • Shoot. The picture is squished from side to side...that plus utube's often blurry view make it almost impossible tell how hot Nancy Sinatra actually was. Not your fault - nice try.
