guys dont pull the whole loader out i did with one of mine and it was a hassle

just take a drill or dremel with a real thin bit and drill into the back of it to get the air restricters out. if you do it right itll will be just as good if you went through all of these steps. just dont puncture the side with the drill

DON'T STRETCH YOUR SPRINGS! it damages the metal. You may get a performance improvement for your first few shots but after that the spring will degrade and become weaker.

you can save the AR"s and cut the tips of your stream lines and put them on it gets about the same ranges but have more power and get some better flat shots atleast mein do...... thumbs up so he can se ps. it hurts allot more when shot. they are best shot with a nitefinder

Since this vid is so old, I think you now know that you should NOT stretch the spring. It does give it more power at 1st, but then it becomes weaker and actually softer over time. You actually want to give it more compresssion force, like the penny mod for the marvick ;D

hey guys this guy knows what hes saying, but Ive done my specter barrel buy just drilling the insides out from behind, barrel {in he holes which are by the screws on the back of the barrel} i did that cause i wouldn't take all Nerf guns apart cause they are buggers to put back together , it pushes every thing out fast and clean. but do it with control. where i live the guns aren't cheap like they are in the states, lol good luck with yrs, if you want to know more email me.

ok this is messed up. i looked up the internals and everything is in place and i did everything you said correctly. but when i screw everything back in, it won't cock and the trigger won't move! PLEASE HELP!!!!

@TheBadBuffalo Had the same problem, the plunger was a little off, just make sure you seat it back in correctly. After you reseat it move your plunger back an forth to make sure its not catching on anything before you put it back together. hope this helps.

Great mod. Only problem I've got now is that the barrel 50-60% of the time doesn't line of completely correct, so the dart either fires off, doesn't fire and jams the gun, or fires weak. Although I was having trouble getting the barrel open, so there were scratches to the plastic in the front. Any ideas on how to remedy the problem?

UPDATE: Fixed my gun's problems. I would recommend only doing this if you know exactly what you are doing. I've noticed it shoots a little further and more powerful because of the mod.

Hi, thanks for the tutorial, your vids are the best. I just finished doing this to my spectre and I love the new range on it, however the mod's had one minor drawback I'm hoping maybe you can help me with. When I try to eject the barrel now it tends to catch on the front of the gun, and I have to rattle it around to get it out. It seems to happen if I have the gun tilted forward and not if it's tilted backwards.. Hope you can help, thanks!

At the opposite end of the revolver drum is another orange peg with a spring under it. The pressure of removing the other peg crushed it, so the drum wasn't held together tightly enough. I removed the other peg and strethed the spring back out. Now it works like new again! :D

Hey, I believe that mine is more modded than yours. I put tape around the plunger to compress the spring more, and eliminated the deadspace in the barrel where the air restrictors were. I also stretched the spring and made an increase in air speed (not air flow). Also, the video was very clear and concise, thank you for that.

@hothead741 Pull back the pentagonal orange orange thing, then pull the barrel out. Now, pry the front of the barrel off using an either hammer or flat head screwdriver. Remove the rest of the screws on the back of the barrel and pull it apart. The air restrictors can easily be pulled off while the spring and three spike thing just falls out.

You only really need to remove the post from inside the barrel. The plastic base that it sits on (the part that the air restrictor goes through) is actually beneficial because it directs all of the air to the base of the dart instead of into the hollow part of the dart. It also gives you the advantage of reducing the amount of area that the air travels through, which increases its speed (by the principle of continuity).

That grey piece that you reattached on the back of the gun at the end? It's upside-down. I found that out when modding my own Spectre. I suggest clearing that up, because forcing that piece on looking like a smiley face could morph the plastic on that specific piece.

@Tan22Tan22 The larger the better, provided it fits(thats what she said) The problem with Phillips screws is that with a screwdriver that isn't the right size they get ground up, and stop working. Try different screwdrivers, and consider buying one because most Nerf guns use similar screws.

Why remove the barrel attachment?

You can use that to attach more accessories, and its only about 2 centimeters long anyways.
