It is worth reading Barbara Epstein's book titled 'The Minsk Ghetto'. One of the best books i have read on German occupation in Eastern Europe, more specifically Belarus; partizan movement; local Belarusians helping the Jews; and the Minsk Ghetto.

Excellent documentary. Go see the movie Defiance. Greak Flick. The men will wish they were this brave, the women will fall in love. 2 hours 17 minutes of truth and excitement. Very inspiring

Actually, Defiance was only accurate in depicting the Jewish refugee community in the forest. The anti-semitism shown by the Soviet Partisans, Zus joining the Soviet Partisans, Tuvia avoiding conflict with the fascists were complete lies. A disappointing movie which I had high hopes for.
