Could you please share any information you are willing to about the tailwheel mod? Looks very good and easier than installing an etract module. Thanks for your time and efford!
Found it ! Looks great .. Where did you order that tail wheel assembly ? I noticed that you didn't use it 100% ? Just the wheel mount and the center pin ? Whas it difficult to connect to the rudder pushrod ?
As for the motor, I put on a Scorpion SII3014-22 with 892 KV, prop is an APC 11 x 7E with Aeronaut spinner. I added a 40A ESC and fly with a 1'500 mAh 3S battery with 30C. Performance is awesome, unlimited vertical and great speed! Components cost a lot more than the whole plane, but once totalled the airframe, you may take all electronics out and put in on a much nicer plane...

Burghoorn, you may go to the rcgroups-dot-com forum, then go to Aircraft - Electric - Airplanes > Electric Warbirds
> Hobby-Lobby Mustang P-51D RTF. Page Nr. 219 has the details. This plane sells now for USD 75 at Hobby-King...

For the motormount, I glued in a 55mm round carbon fiber mount to install the Scorpion motor. I completely removed the stock motor mount.

I'm planning to put the motor and esc from my destroyed Parkzone p51 , in this thing, any suggestions on motor mounts ? What did you use?

The flaps slow down the plane for landing and support take off. Not too much effect on the Art-Tech P-51D, but it slows it down quite a bit.
