Tony was one of the most underated drummers in the business, this cat had mad groove.

Tony Thompson (of CHIC) was involved and had record sessions with the reunited Led Zeppelin in 1985.

He could have been the new drummer of Led Zeppelin.

Unfortunately, ha had a car accident and the project of a new Led Zeppelin LP failed.

I remember this not being too well reviewed at the time -- too self-consciously 'moderne', perhaps -- but it sounds incredible today, and full of those little flourishes and melodic twists that made Chic so special. Even a lesser Chic track is head and shoulders above most of what passes for R&B these days! Thank you for posting...

30 years later we listen and we enjoy to "minor" hits of CHIC. I'm OK with you, I don't think in 30 yers we will still listen to modern R'n'B hits !
