  • hahaha good old Saskatchewan meat buck in BC both of those deer would have been wall hangers for sure. very rare would you see a buck of that class in the BC timber

  • jeez i love the last kill shot brings back when i shot my first buck broad side at about 100 yards easy pickins

  • two people are vegan pussys.

  • Great videos halfdocs!! I am nearby in Alberta and really looking forward to the season which starts in 4 days for muzzleloaders......Can't wait to see more videos from ya!!!

  • SICKOS. You are in the same group of lowlife scums as serial killers, rapist and child abusers. You be in a new website filled with video of sick humans.

  • sweettangerine10 fuck off you animal saving fuicking wierdy huntings a part of life and by the way walks when besides Gene oh ya and buy a lumina the fucking sweet for shooting yotes

  • @SweetTangerine10 God brought wildlife to this earth as a gift to us, that includes harvesting the animal. As hunters we use every part of the animal.ABSOLUTELY NOTHING goes to waste. Fishing is in the same class as in hunting, because we are still harvesting and taking the animal from its habitat. Jesus was a supporter of this. Give a man a fish and he can feed his family for a day, teach a man to fish and he can feed his family for a lifetime. Those are the words of god. G

  • @SweetTangerine10 god has a place for all animals right next to my fucking mashed potatos haha ahha a hahah.

  • @SweetTangerine10 come on out with one of us one day. you cant knock it before you try it. sorry to bring reality back into the picture, but we need to manage the populations of all animals.

by the way, the packaged steak in your fridge right now? that cow went out way worse than these two deer did.

  • why would any one wear white when deer hunting it a good way to get shot most people see somthing white moving in the woods they start shooting one man got shot inarm that 12 ga taken his arm off

  • Haha "A good Saskatchewan meat buck" if I went out and saw bucks like that every day I would have to wear a diaper

  • your tagging system looks like a pain in the ass...here in Oklahoma U.S.A. they changed the system to where you can check your deer in online which is stupid because now everyones gonna poach good bucks though

  • Just a tip for ya. If it doesn't go down with one shot, don't put it online. No one wants to see it

  • nice buck . i am from southern sask , and think we take for granted what others dream and save all year to experience. currently into day 3 of the 09 white tail season , and the warm weather and lack of snow has me spinning my wheels . i am trying to do small videos of my experiences in the bush and looking for tips for amatures.? let em go , let em grow !!

  • I think you need to look at this video again. He was giving the deer the coup de grace. The bush push hunt is fun and fast some times. Glad they found the deer and took it home!! Well done, HalfDoc and boys!!!

  • The deer you are refering to was already fatally shot. He was doing the humane thing by finishing him off. Secondly, If you can sneak up on a bedded whitetail, you are doing pretty damn good. Nothing wrong with shooting a bedded buck. 99% of the time a bedded buck will wind you anyway. If you shoot deer as they walk by, do they have a better chance than a bedded buck?

I hope you didn't mean you shoot deer on the run because that is way more unethical than shooting a bedded deer.

  • Great hunting. You definately should take some hunting footage for this years hunt!

  • Great bucks boys. When are you putting some 2008 whitetail hunts on here

  • awesome vid. cant beat some good old bush pushin on a winter day.

  • hey im kinda curious...can you explain the tagging system up there? Why three tags? Down here in Pennsylvania we only gotta use 1. Kudos for fowl weather hunting though! Most people just call it a day and hide in the cabin!

  • Because people try to keep the meat, and sell the antlers and hide to collectors in the U.S. And in Saskatchewan it is always like that in hunting season. You should try hunting here, great and very little pressure on the animals.

  • we have strict laws

  • Interesting why you would load the second deer in the truck, without gutting it?

Then go to another location & do a video of the after kill.

I like your videos, but i also can tell when someone did something there not suppose to.

  • ya i hate those tags and if you get blood on then your fucked

  • no offense but i dont hunt for horns they are a bonus cant eat um just look pretty on the wall

  • each to there own. I hang many a whitetail tag.Never pass on a moose or elk though

  • where is this in saskatchewan

  • sweet that is aswome

  • glad you liked it

  • I would be more than happy with that buck!

  • it blows me away seeing the types of bucks you guys take and pass up. happy hunting and good luck on taking Ole Mossy!

  • Got a 160 4x4, so no mossey this year.

  • A wind powered truck and a crazy tagging system.

But truly, I very much enjoy your vids.

I have many hours of trapping vids I did on my own.

I think I may post some soon.

  • thanks

  • Do you not gut you deer? What is up with that? Awsome videos and great deer!

  • glad you enjoyed,Yes I gut the deer.I do it at the family farm in cold weather like this. That way I have a place with water and can warm my hands if I need

  • im just saying you said no monsters...those are huge compared to Oklahoma deer

  • I guess we are luck to be in Sask.

  • I've watched several of your video's now and I gota say they are all absolutely awesome. I live in maine where we have some prety large deer also, but they arent nearly as plentifull. Thx for the videos kep em coming.

  • thank you for your kind comment

  • no monsters, good grief...im in OK US but those suckers are huge

  • thanks my deer is getting mounted

  • Great Video!!! Thats the way to Hunt!!! just like we do in NW North Dakota!

  • thanks, it is only an invisable line that seperates our hunting grounds

  • Damm! them are some big deer. I could only imagine what you mean by "monsters" the biggest ive shot is a 9 point buck and everyone still talks about it here lol and you said you (only seen 60 deer today) i havent seen 60 deer in 3 years lol wish we had that here in Ontario.

  • Lol, I guess a hunter takes Saskatchewan for granted a bit. With our low population density and high agriculture land ratio our deer are in good numbers and have some decent size.

  • Man, that must be so intence when your about to shoot.. because if you miss, shes outta there :P

  • Never been hunting in my entire life... don't know if I ever will haha! I randomly stumbled upon these videos and found them really interesting! So... Good Job! :0) Best Wishes on next season!

  • I appreciate that,Thanks!

  • Great video. Started watching and found myself watching them all. Hunting in Saskatchewan has always been a dream of me and my father. But always seems really expensive and I don't nobody up there.

  • glad you enjoyed!

  • in sask. why do you need 3 tags on the 1 animal? in alberta you need 1 tag thats orange that goes through the hawk...

  • a head, hide and meat seal here in Sask.

  • Whats the reason for all of those tags Doc? Is it so all the body parts match? I cant fathom someone trying to create a "Frankenstein" deer before checking it in. Im a Yank, so excuse my ignorance please.

  • sask. law states the antlers, hide and meat must have own tag,so we do.

  • Good video! Would love to hunt Canada one day. We have some good bucks in ND. With the increasing of baiting each year the deer are getting smaller and numbers are increasing

  • thanks!why is the size decreasing? do to harvest?

  • Another good video bud. OLD MOSSY IS GOONA FALL!!!

  • thanks! We should hook up for a hunt sometime.

  • We most definitely should try, at least some ice fishing this winter. I'll shoot you a PM and we can get each other's emails.

  • nice video! i was wondering im 13 and i really want to hunt, my other friend is 13 and he can hunt. he said he took a test, so would i really be able to hunt with an adult? if i took the test thx and nice video!

  • If you are from Sask, then yes. Once you complete the hunter saftey class, you can hunt under direct supervision of an adult

  • nice video! i was wondering im 13 and i really want to hunt, my other friend is 13 and he can hunt. he said he took a test, so would i really be able to hunt with an adult? if i took the test thx and nice video!

  • nice buck..ive been hunting for 3 years my first year i got a 8 next year i got a 8 and the next year i got a 8 and a 12.....nice video

  • Thanks!

  • I have hunted with Garth and I saw him make a great running shot on a Turkey ( ok the turkey was walking and it took two shots Ha Ha) Great video !!

  • You do know Garth if it took 2 shots! LOL Thanks man!

  • was that rifle on richards deer a remington camo 710?

  • No it was not. It was a custom made rifle. The caliber I cant remember now off hand. Beautiful rifle, fluted barrel real heavy. Almost too nice for bush pushing.

  • o ic kinda looked like a 710 but when i saw that bolt i wasent to sure o ya nice deer

  • You have some great videos. Im from Ga. and if you shoot a 140 class buck you have done something special. I would love to hunt Sask. What does the average buck weigh?

  • Thanks! The bucks weight veries here. I shot a 204 B/c whitetail the one year that dressed at 126 lbs.The next year I shot a 167 B/C that dressed at 228 lbs. The doe I muzzle loaded this year on video dressed at 120 lbs even.

  • Cool Vid nice deer good luck with ur bigger ones next year :D

  • thanks. If the weather is not to bad next year, it should be a better outing.

  • yeah im down here in texas right now im fixing to go deer hunting so far all i've got this year is a little 6 point and a doe im hopeing to get somethin big this weekend :p

  • awsome video 5 stars all the way what did those deer score anyway?

  • Thanks! I dont know the scores on those deer. They were little guys for here. 135-140 class. The weather beat us this year.

  • nice work boys good shots a good year to say the least i didn't take any this year nothing big enough to shot for me still had fun hand camin misc stuff mabey next year

  • Absolutely awesome vid, and what a well captured fantastic year you've had. Great job!

***** five stars for sure. Nice work.

  • thank you very much!

  • I should add...that I am one of the worst shots out of my family and friends and I have dropped deer running at 460 yards uphill. Not every B.C. hunter needs a standing close shot! Good luck Ice fishing and see you on youtube!

  • LOL, I was wondering when a BC hunter would give me the gears on the Bc shooting comment.I should of said that the guys I know from BC can only hit a standing target.

  • Good Video - well done. I know exactly what it is to hunt in those sorts of miserable temps! As much as I'm sad the hunting in Sask is now finished - I'm not sad about staying in with those temps.

  • thank you. Good old Sask. Rain opening week, -30 celcius with a wind the second week!

  • hah thats kinda funny. i had to push mine outa a bush. i used a 130 grain .270. and i had to finish him off for my first buck.

  • congrats on your first deer.

  • good way to end your season! Now it's time for icefishing!

  • Forsure! lakes are froze over and the gear is almost preped. Looking forward to it. Coyote calling as well!

  • nice shooting boys" manitoba has the three tag system too why i dont know.. well ice fishing time, happy holidays halfdoc

  • same to you

  • Nice deer. But what's with that 3 tag per deer business? Seems a little redundant and annoying. What is the thought behind that?

  • nice bucks, man saskatchewans tagging system is way more complicated then albertas, we only have one like your "meat" tag, but looks like you had a good season, good luck next year!!!!!!!

  • ya out tags are trying at times. Good luck to you as well.

  • A nice trio (of bucks anyways..LOL). Well done fellas.

  • thanks again!
