Use minoxidil (aka generic rogaine). You must commit to it for a long time to see any results. Don't take propecia cause I've seen hundreds of testimonials saying it can cause permanent sexual problems. Also eat less fat to lowser your t levels, eat less carbs/sugars becaue it lowers insulin and therefore lowers DHT production, eat more protein. you dont need to eat less but just change what you eat. get a 30 minute walk everyday. DO NOT muscle build. surgery or hair tattoo is a last resort.

I just read of your Doctor in Toronto... sounds like a great price and his work is very good because your hair line looks great. I had my hg's years ago... I guess the cost was higher back in the day. But again I had wonderful results too.

I choose to go with hair transplant with MHR (now bought out by Bosley) in San Francisco. I was at the right place at the right time because when I went for my consultation they had a procedure cancellations for the next day. I don't see what the issue is with him having a Hair transplant on what appears to be a little bit of hair loss! Girls have hair extentions all the time especially when all you have to do is be patient and grow it! He obviously can't just grow the hair that he's lost around his hairline. A hair transplant is an elective operation no one ever needs one, it is no different then a nose job tummy tuck or face lift. I am very sensitive about my hair loss not based on looks but based on the fact that I think it makes you look much older when you loose your hair. if you do not want one do not get one!!!

Besides the psychological issues you may have, if you're predisposed to hairloss through genetics, you'll just have to have this operation completed over again maybe even multiple times. Our 48YO Pastor recently had a hair transplant procedure that went horribly wrong- he ended up looking like an old doll with random clumps of cheap nylon fuzz sticking out of his head.
He then preached a nauseating sermon about how the sin of Pride had laid him low, that it was a punishment from God. He made all the kids come up and ‘inspect’ his scalp close-up. All of this only confirms my feelings about the dangerous superficiality of religion- it does nothing to tackle deep problems.

@lovedisshitrazzer Rogaine does not restore hairlines. The only way to regrow hair on the hairline area is a transplant. Rogaine is primarily used to prevent any future further hairloss. Only in a small percentage of Rogaine users actually regrow lost hair.

That was the point I did it as soon as I started. And I am glade I did at this point all the hair in my hair line in transplanted. I have very course hair and it is really easy to spot thinning areas.
It does not look fake at all and anyone who meets me would never know. At this point all of the hair in my hair line is transplanted I have no nature hairline hair left. As for my scare I can’t find it even when I want to nor can my wife. I would suggest you be more careful with the doctor you use.
Dont let people scare you about propecia, I had sides at first, then they went away after 3 months. I think it was all in my head. Works great, happy I am using it.
Propecia works, it's just the problem with the side effects..The problem with the side effects in propecia is the fact that the recommended dose is 1 mg daily. Although, studies have shown that there was no difference between a .2 mg - 1 mg dosage of Propecia.Many people believe that the actual recommended dosage is much too high which creates more side effects.As is true, I have split my daily dosage to .25 mg (1/4) of my 1 mg propecia pill. It has been working the same with less side effects

16 is too young for a transplant. at 16 if you are losing your hair it will get worse over the next few years then slow down. So you may want to wait and most doctors would not do it at 16. i would say 22 -25 you can start to look into it. I would go see a doctor about what you can do to start fighting it.

I am a defuse thinner, which means every year my hair gets thinner and thinner. I chose to have my transplant done because I was very upset with how my hair was looking. I could have waited until it got worse, but I was really stressed out and having the transplant done made me feel much better. When to get a transplant is really up to you and what you are looking for, as long as you no the risks involved you really cannot go wrong.

I am 35 now and very happy with what i did 6 years go. at the rate i am loosing my hair i will need one in the next few years and i am fine with that.
I am not in any way pushing people to have hair transplants this was what i wanted and i am very happy with the results.

My fear is the ageing factor I think when you lose your hair you look much older then you are and that is my fear. And money is not an issue for me so why would i not do it if it makes me happy?

I don't see what the issue is with him having a Hair transplant on what appears to be a little bit of hair loss! Girls have hair extentions all the time especially when all you have to do is be patient and grow it! He obviously can't just grow the hair that he's lost around his hairline. A hair transplant is an elective operation no one ever needs one, it is no different then a nose job tummy tuck or face lift. I am very sensitive about my hair loss not based on looks but based on the fact that I think it makes you look much older when you loose your hair. if you do not want one do not get one!!!

Besides the psychological issues you may have, if you're predisposed to hairloss through genetics, you'll just have to have this operation completed over again maybe even multiple times. Our 48YO Pastor recently had a hair transplant procedure that went horribly wrong- he ended up looking like an old doll with random clumps of cheap nylon fuzz sticking out of his head.
He then preached a nauseating sermon about how the sin of Pride had laid him low, that it was a punishment from God. He made all the kids come up and ‘inspect’ his scalp close-up. All of this only confirms my feelings about the dangerous superficiality of religion- it does nothing to tackle deep problems.

@lovedisshitrazzer Rogaine does not restore hairlines. The only way to regrow hair on the hairline area is a transplant. Rogaine is primarily used to prevent any future further hairloss. Only in a small percentage of Rogaine users actually regrow lost hair.

I have my transplant about 4 years ago now. If you are getting 4000 Grafts for $5000,00 in 2010 I would suggest you look into that as that price is way too low. I needed a lot of hair to match my density, my price's are from 4 + years ago

Propecia works, it's just the problem with the side effects..The problem with the side effects in propecia is the fact that the recommended dose is 1 mg daily. Although, studies have shown that there was no difference between a .2 mg - 1 mg dosage of Propecia.Many people believe that the actual recommended dosage is much too high which creates more side effects.As is true, I have split my daily dosage to .25 mg (1/4) of my 1 mg propecia pill. It has been working the same with less side effects

16 is too young for a transplant. at 16 if you are losing your hair it will get worse over the next few years then slow down. So you may want to wait and most doctors would not do it at 16. i would say 22 -25 you can start to look into it. I would go see a doctor about what you can do to start fighting it.

If you've diffuse thinning, it is just going to get worse. You need to get on a regimen of saw palmetto or any of the stronger herbal prostate treatments NOW. I am a defuse thinner, which means every year my hair gets thinner and thinner. I chose to have my transplant done because I was very upset with how my hair was looking. I could have waited until it got worse, but I was really stressed out and having the transplant done made me feel much better. When to get a transplant is really up to you and what you are looking for, as long as you no the risks involved you really cannot go wrong.
