"Daddy what's a train? Is it something I can ride? Is it filled with all those grown up folks and little kids inside? Is it bigger than our house?" Oh, how could I explain, when my little boy asked me, "Daddy what's a train?" :)
Here is somthing funny when union pacific brings the 844 or challenger come down to film it and you end up with 25 bnsf trains in 10 minuts and 50 every hour.
Great video! I was there 48 hours ago and stood on the bridge in the bitter cold, but no trains came by. :( I've been crazy about trains my whole life.
Amazing! I was there again a few months after this video was shot, and that time only one train passed through. I think it's a bit hit and miss as to how much action there is each day. I guess we were lucky!. Funny thing is, we were actually going to leave after the first train passed through, and then it was non-stop action after the second train passed by in the video. Thanks for your comment!
This is me and my 18 month old son's SPOT! We like to park over in Crown Center and walk The Link all the way to the bridge as our ending spot before turning around and walking back.
nice video. i was in KC about a month ago and i spent several hours at the station and i was amazed with all the train traffic that went through. i have atleast 2 hours of video. im actually going to edit some and put them up later so check them out.
As we walked out onto the bridge a train was just passing through and I thought we would have to wait ages for the next one to come along (not a nice thought with a 2 year old and 6 month old in tow), but a minute later the first train in my video appeared and it was non-stop action for the next 30 minutes. What an amazing place - more so because it is great for the kids to hang out and watch loads of trains passing by. Thanks for you comment, and I'll check your video out when you post it!
