I rember this goal vividly, and the exact context it was scored in, but damn if I was utterly mistaken about who scored it. I always thought it was Sundin or Gilmour, but no it was somebody I forgot ever existed. Poor Randy Wood.
Thanks for all the great vids from the Burns/Dougie era...the only playoff OT goal I haven't seen on youtube is Gartner's in game 6 against the Sharks in 94.
Some of the best playoff hockey I ever watched was when these two teams met 2 years in row. 'Hawks had Chelios in his prime, Steve Smith and Gary Suter. You couldn't get a freaking golf ball past those guys. Belfour was more acrobatic in those days than he was later in his career. Then you had Sundin, Dougie, The Cat, etc.... Good times. Looking forward to some truculence this year
Wow ... i remember watching this on CBC so long ago ... it was my first Leaf OT playoff game. For what ever reason, it was engraved in my head that it was Todd Gill who ended up scoring off the Mats Sundin rush. Your video proved otherwise - no wonder Randy Wood is the least memorable Leaf OT hero. Thanks for posting this.
RIP Maple Leaf Gardens.

I went to one of the games in this series. I'm pretty sure we won 1-0 with Eastwood scoring the only goal.

Great Clip!!!
Randy Wood is by far the best of the obsure Leafs of the 90s.
I forgot about Sundins diaper helmet.
And I found Waldo. He's a 1:18 in the clip.

Even as a Ranger fan I love any nostalgic hockey video.
Jesus, did Eddie the Eagle look shitty on that one.
