So far best. It actually looked like they had a connection MOST of the time, which is what I find lacking in the other ballroom performances. Its not their fault really b/c its a VERY hard concept to grasp if youve never done ballroom. However if youve done ballroom its ALL you see when its not done....for me and my peers anyway. So KUDOS :)

Because those fantasy moves cannot be performed in an actual milonga, this is not called real argentine tango. This is called Fantasy Tango or Tango Show. However they did a really nice job!

poor people that don't know what is REAL argentine tango won't appreciate it. balroom tango is only a bad caricature of REAL tango from Buenos and Montevideo. This video shows a good show, not only acrobatic figures but some well done steps...real ones not balroom copy. in SYTYCD it is quite impossible to see a good even 10 seconds of tango, because it is one of the most difficult dances in the world and also without emotions or with false emotions it has no sense

Her ochos and ganchos were great. I don't personally like the fantasia style of Argentine Tango (I find all the lifts a bit pointless - if you want to do lifts, stick to jive) but her footwork was awesome and he was a very strong lead. Excellent.

@benbolshaw It's Argentine tango ("fantasia" style) which differs from ballroom tango and International tango. Most professional ballroom dancers don't perform it very well, so it's rare to get of glimpse of what Argentine tango should really look like in this kind of setting. To me, this is the most authentic Argentine Tango performance I've seen on SYTYCD. Her footwork is effortless, which makes me think that she has a background in this dance. If not, then I'm even more impressed!

@jordanatoast Couldn't agree more! I'm from Argentina, and most of the time i get horrorized when i watch Argentine tango on this show.. i get sooooooo angry. I mean, it's like the coreographers don't really care if the piece they creating really respects the style or don't. And it's insulting. I remember a dance, i think it was with Danny and Sara She was dressed like a whore, and he did more contemporary than tango moves. I wanted to killed the coreographer after that.. (Sorry for my english!)

wow this is the only tango there is. Its not Argentine Tango, its just Tango which was born in Argentina. The rest is just "ballroom" Tango which is not real Tango. This was actually a great piece done with great passion from her and some passion from him. Whoever said that his hip movements where restricted bc of his coat, doesn't know anything about Tango. Learn some culture, take a course on cultural anthropology or something.
