this might sound noob but
well i got t6
and my main WAS devil jin, but they fd him up in t6 so im using lars now, and i dun wanna play arcade mode cauz if i do and i beat all the nooby chars 1st, then i got no nooby chars tom learn with and end up learning through 5th dans and shit, so is it after you beat 9 pple you go back to the main menu?

Yes to the last question.
You should try ghost mode for a bit to see if it is to your liking.
Don't stop using Devil Jin yet. He still has some beastly moves and combos.
