1ST OF ALL AWSOME SONG, YOUR THE ONLY ONE WHO TEACHES IT, CAN YOU MAKE ANOTHER VIDEO SLOW IT DOWN WITH DETAIL STEP BY STEP EACH NOTE YOU ARE PICKING, KINDA HARD TO SEE WHAT YOU PICKED, IN THE INTRO AND IN THE SECOND INTRO PLEASE IN JESUS NAME, I LIKE THIS SONG!
You're a Taylor fan? Good girl. It's always heartwarming to see girls working on guitar skills...we're so few and far between. Anyone can play power chords, but very few ever put enough time into it to learn the really good stuff.
You know... I don't want to be too forward. But if you were single and my age and anywhere within a thousand miles of my arms, I'd do almost anything to get you in them... :) I've never heard a girl that can play that well yet (well at least not anyone I KNOW...) And are you playing a Martin or a Taylor? From the deep lows, I'm assuming it's a Martin
@techie646 it's actually not a martin or a taylor, but a $200 takamine. haha. i was my first guitar. i now own 3 taylors and have never (and will never) own a martin.
@techie646 You'd never own a Martin why not? I prefer Taylors okay girl? I understand lol but I played one martin at the university I'm at last semester. A dude on the drumline with me brought one to his dorm he had gotten out of the shop that day. He said it took like six months to fix because the whole face caved in (How that's possible without a total stage accident I don't know lol) but I played THIS SONG on it and man (maybe it was just that guitar) the chords jumped out and blew me away
OK, hi from western Canada I have heard this song in the traditional irish fashion and really liked it. Is this some southern gospel version of the same song? Is it posted on youtube? Sure would like to here this southern drawl version. By the way some people in western Canada have drawls just like in the U.S. south but not me I'm city slicker prisoner.
Girl, you sure can sang...I am really enjoying the DADGAD lessons. SCC is one of my favorite performers. I saw him in concert last November and sitting in the 2nd row was really cool. He's a real nice guy.
Wrong key, but not bad. He plays this song in a Cm open tuning: C-G-C-Eb-G-C. He then does most of the riff on the 3rd and 5th frets with the lowest string droning open.
It's tough to get it tuned correctly, but it sounds much better in this tuning.
You posted you learned how to play it the "correct" way recently, so you probably already know this.
yeah that would be awsome, ive never seen anyone play it on a bass, but im kinda new at it so i wasnt sure if it could be done or not, and i cant find good tabs for it anywhere
You got some good skills there man. I tried learning this song in a few different open tunings, DADADD being one of my favorites but I stuck to Steven's Drop C tuning though, I only do open tunings with creed-esque stuff. Some advice, take it or shake it. Try a bit more looseness in your playing, you've got the notes all well and good, just try to develope a bit more... shall we say, 'Boldness.' With this style of music strong fingers and confident, fluid, movements prevail. Keep it up man.
are you in the DADGAD tuning. it's not in standard. I can send you the tabs if you like. i just need your email address and the title of the song you want.
yeah, in Lord Of The Dance he plays it a whole step down in the key of C. but it could have been not exactly 440 tuning in that video. I probably didn't check before I started.
yeah, this is a christian rock song, but the title's easily confused with irish music. lol. but still, it's a great song, one of my fav's of all time.
Hi, I'm amazed of your skills. Thanks so much for sharing & teaching. I would like to ask if you can send tabs for this song. Unfortunately, I've been out of practice and I'm kind of "rusty". I will appreciate your help. Thanks sweetie and God bless.
hey, i've just finished THE WHOLE tab for this thing. Intro/bridge/chorus/verses EVERYTHING. i'll be happy to send it to you. Message me w/ your email address and what song you want.
I hope you can make a video on how to play the song, "only natural." I'm sure you've heard that song already. It's also from the Signs of Life album by steven curtis chapman. I can play that song on the drums but our guitarist needs a little help in trying to learn it.
Great post. Boy that $200 guitar sounds sweet! Thanks for sharing. God bless.

something doesnt sound quite right in "intro 2" and the first 2 low bass notes you do in the bridge before th br chords dont seem right.
I cant play guitar as well as you but I am a massive stevie fan and can usually tell when something isnt quite the same.
Overal your ears are very good though and you did an amazing job with like 90% of this.
Are you sure you got those other parts right though?
