Yea, the controls are a little different. I told a friend of mine well before any details were released about (at the time Halo 3: Recon) that it would be cool if they took it in a different direction and made a character not a strong as the spartan and without the comfort of the MJOLNIR's regenerating shields to inspire more tactical gameplay. My wish was granted! Now if only these changes were applied to multiplayer... Halo Reach, anybody?

i dont think you would be weaker in halo reach as most of the spartans were alive at that time and they did have energy shield and mjolnir(sp?) armour. Although it would be the same quality as the armor in halo 1 i would assume.

Just because the spartans exist does not mean you will play as one. But perhaps it would be fun to play as a book spartan, one who can sprint at 25-30 mph and can maximize the efficiency of any weapon. It would become more like COD, but to me you would just be combining the best of both worlds and creating something ground breaking.

There's no Matchmaking for Firefight, so ODST is mainly a friend game.

The BR is a characteristic weapon as well as a tool of excellence. The new weapons will be nice, but it wouldnt have a negative impact on the game to pick up brs off of fallen comrades or at ammo pods.

For performance, yea, but the BR is really fuckin cool. It is the one efficient weapon the UNSC has, and by itself legitamizes the rest of the short range weapons. (Sniper rifle not included, of course)

Yay ive played and beaten it already. I hope your not waiting for the campain, it sucks. Its also way to short. The music was better in the other halos and its way to f?$%ing dark during the rookies turn. When you get stuck on romeos part the sniper riffle is in the power lines above the art thing. Havnt played multiplayer yet noone else was on. Best part about it though was firefight, oh and the complete lack of flood.
