I do believe that legendary quests having to be super hard and challenging but not a freaking TIME SINK.
I hope that if anything people will not have to repeat the raid for months to get it.
The way of obtaining quest items by killing bosses in a special way ONCE was ok,though. Make the quest long, do not make the quest boring with collecting 20000 druid of the Flame bear from asses to get to the next stage

RE: PVP and PVE gear for raiding and gearscore, etc. I raided in PVP gear in burning crusade on my warlock, because I did capernian tanking, curator hateful tanking, and krosh firehand tanking if the mage died.
I don't understand how long travel times make a game more immersive. When I am forced to travel great distances, it really takes me out of the game. I usually walk away while I am waiting (and I am sure that a ton of people do this). How is that immersion? I think that every continent should have a central hub that you can hang out in, and a handful of portals. This is how Org is now, and I would like to see it on any content going forward. Nothing should take more than a few minutes to get to.

Immersion through traveling? LOL, what? I DON'T think being able to set a home city along with a hearth spot is going to destroy the "immersion through traveling" experience. I still spend a good portion of my time traveling through questing, gathering, and whatnot. Sometimes though, I just want to go to my bloody home city to do a couple necessary errands when my friends are forming a raid and I would rather not make them wait 10 minutes while I fly to somewhere that has what I need.
Tb- you had said you didn't like the idea of being able to teleport back from where you had hearthed from, but what about multiple hearthstones? Multiple as in 2, but with a shared cooldown. Or maybe more places to make your 'home'?

I HATE that there's 100s of FPs now, I hate flying mounts in EK and Kalimdohr, I HATE 60% at 20 and 100% at 40, it made the game boring, it makes the world small as hell, when I first started playing wow I loved the fact that at lvl 40 I would stand in IF, get a group together and ride a 60% all the way up to SM, it was fun, people had patience now they're all whiny bitches for not having instant teleport everywhere...

You whine about Blizz letting us be able to use the flying mounts in Azeroth when you are able to use them in Outland and Northrend before this (and Blizz's reasons were just), and the additional FPs as if it's somehow this huge issue (you have to FIND the FP's first). Part of me thinks you're just trolling. Either way, not a good reason.
@darkpowrjd in outland you only got the mount at max level and it was needed to reach certain max level places as well as one of the raids. getting the mount at lvl 40 and then at lvl 60 was a big "YEY" moment where you finally got the mount, and you weren't really too bothered with the fact that you didn't have it before, now it's all "omg give me the mount already" while at the same time you level so much faster as well. I guess I'm just tired of blizz catering to moaning lazy people.
@tore650 How are they catering by letting them fly in Azeroth? You get the cata flying at I think 81 or so, and by then, you should've moved into places like Hyjal and Deepholm, which require it. By this point, any danger is lost because of high lvl, and Blizz adds another dimension to immersion we want by letting us fly in their old world. Why would you want to take away something that adds to something you say you want? That's just silly!
@darkpowrjd Flying is only really needed in deepholme and to get into the raids. As for the lower levels the whole LFG thing has made moving around really redundant, I mean I've leveled like 5 chars after hitting level 85, and I've pretty much just been signed up to the LFG, and for newer players it's even worse cause you know what I see even at low levels like lvl 20? people being pissed off at new people who doesn't have leveling gear(obviously) for having low dps and whatnot...

When you grouped up on the server using /4 or /y if you got a good group you would stick with that for quite some time and that would be a lot of fun, now everyone can just click the group finder and once so often get carried through a dungeon to get gear, which means that very often I get in groups with people who can't even move out of fire! It've made me loose my patience... I'm living proof!

I unsubbed and uninstalled from it today, because of the fact you cant rely on anyone on that game and they all try to flex their epeens, something rather stupid for a game that focuses on Pugging a lot more than any other MMO I've played. Not to mention the game has many hackers in it. The server message has been hacked many times. Plus the game tries to force endgame down your throat which I dont want to do endgame all the time. It's pretty annoying.
I'm pretty sure the subscriber numbers are the net results. They probably gained a tonne of subscribers in China lately and lost a lot more in US/Europe. In the end it worked out at 600k down overall. Number fiddling to look better for the win!
It sort of annoys me deep down how you're popularity allows you to be carried so much.. You even admitted it here.. And we see every video how you have like 5-6 85s with 90% epic gear... If blizzard were smart, they'd realise the success of Wrath during ICC was due to accessible raids that didn't rip people to shreds on normal modes.
not a whole lot of people quit, not all guilds could clear all hardmodes at 0% buff, everything was competitive which is a lot of the reason non-core raiders play.
You call them wrath scrubs, but really, do you ACTUALLY care? it was fun, heroics didn't make you rage, things were fluent outside of raid. You didn't get turned off because of skill

What a terrible request. I totally agree with Totalhalibut, traveling needs to be emphasized more. WoW shouldn't be a place where players just get teleported everywhere, but instead an actual world in which players have to feel their way around the map.

there's innkeepers in ALMOST every quest hub...reset your hearth at every hub =\, you want to port? get/pay a mage. let's just play the game and view the views wow isn't supposed to be played at FPS (1st person shooter) speeds where it's done in a few hours or 2-3days play it and see it~!! sit back and ride the ride fellow adventurers~!!
Ok so why is it ok to restrict Chaos orbs only to those who have a profession that can use them, but everyone can DE items that only enchanters can use? At the very least the DE'r in the group should still get a shot at a guild proc on those DE's.
Item levels....it's so easy to get around them for just a few coins. I too was run through by my guild on a few..I had to go to one Hyjal Quartermaster and buy all the purples and equip them to get in the que, but not a real hassle.

You have to dps the add down past 75% (for the cc'able adds). Having a spriest does make it easier, another is to just cc the add after dpsing it down appropriately and stacking on it.

@iAmTheBassMaan Yes but that is not out yet so that can't be it, neither can SWTOR but that is not out either. Rift is and general displeasure with WoW is more likely.
Hopefully the drop in numbers will make blizzard look at why people left and hopefully they will release new stuff and that they could make some things free, such as a fraction change or something.
@nonvolatilegeek I don't think making faction change free is the best business idea especially seeing as you can roll both alliance and horde on the same server (unlike that awful game Allods). Although I do get where you're coming from and it would be nice to see some of the additional services made cheaper or free. The main problem is that they kind of screwed up Wrath and when they bumped up the difficulty people left because they couldn't handle it.

Immersion in WoW has been fading away for a while now. Anyone else remember the long boat rides? Apparently one too many people were going "zomg I have to get back to grinding" and turned a relaxing virtual ship ride into even more of a teleport than it already was. And I don't even know WHAT the hell Blizzard was thinking when they started filling all the random spawn treasure chests with junk, then later proceeding to phase them out altogether.
The problem I see with fragmented legendaries, is they are tied to the player not the guild, not that I play anymore, but my former guild could have made 5 Shadowmournes before Cata released, 3 people just took most of the shards then server transferred.
For Wrath specifically, shards dropped like candy, not exactly legendary, just an epic that took longer to acquire.
I would love the shamans addon pack in this week's achievment hog. Does anyone know which chat addon he's using? To get that styleized look on /s and /p windows that apepar above characters

@Inzomniac9 oh I do agree there, just because something used to be doesn't mean it should continue to be. But you go ahead and ask people who has played since vanilla, you'll find that a great majority will agree that it was better back then. But tbh I'm not too bothered, I'm waiting for Tera-online now, and if it's even half as good as it looks, I'll not be playing wow after the launch anyways.

@ShammyKalii usually never happened, but when it did it made making a good group that much sweeter, instead of all these random groups where there's more trouble than anything, tons of people who don't know how to freaking CC and other things. And the worst is people who gets in a group and then whipes the group on the boss because they couldn't be arsed to say "sorry could you tell me the tactics, I havn't done this one before"

I completely agree with you. I remember those old days too, when it was a group of people and we traveled to instances, the best part was there was a social concept. Now with this cross server crap, it's all instant teleporting everywhere, and there are no more social concepts.

I agree about questing for legendary items , its the only true idea , not random drops , or farming or anything, they just make game to retarded, without any way to think or find your way( for any sort of gears as a matter of fact, not just legendarys) just farming, farming , farming, farming ... maybe more farming?

I unsubbed and uninstalled from it today, because of the fact you cant rely on anyone on that game and they all try to flex their epeens, something rather stupid for a game that focuses on Pugging a lot more than any other MMO I've played. Not to mention the game has many hackers in it. The server message has been hacked many times. Plus the game tries to force endgame down your throat which I dont want to do endgame all the time. It's pretty annoying.

I'm pretty sure the subscriber numbers are the net results. They probably gained a tonne of subscribers in China lately and lost a lot more in US/Europe. In the end it worked out at 600k down overall. Number fiddling to look better for the win!

If blizzard were smart, they'd realise the success of Wrath during ICC was due to accessible raids that didn't rip people to shreds on normal modes.
not a whole lot of people quit, not all guilds could clear all hardmodes at 0% buff, everything was competitive which is a lot of the reason non-core raiders play.
You call them wrath scrubs, but really, do you ACTUALLY care? it was fun, heroics didn't make you rage, things were fluent outside of raid. You didn't get turned off because of skill

What a terrible request. I totally agree with Totalhalibut, traveling needs to be emphasized more. WoW shouldn't be a place where players just get teleported everywhere, but instead an actual world in which players have to feel their way around the map.

there's innkeepers in ALMOST every quest hub...reset your hearth at every hub =\, you want to port? get/pay a mage. let's just play the game and view the views wow isn't supposed to be played at FPS (1st person shooter) speeds where it's done in a few hours or 2-3days play it and see it~!! sit back and ride the ride fellow adventurers~!!

Ok so why is it ok to restrict Chaos orbs only to those who have a profession that can use them, but everyone can DE items that only enchanters can use? At the very least the DE'r in the group should still get a shot at a guild proc on those DE's.

Item levels....it's so easy to get around them for just a few coins. I too was run through by my guild on a few..I had to go to one Hyjal Quartermaster and buy all the purples and equip them to get in the que, but not a real hassle.

You have to dps the add down past 75% (for the cc'able adds). Having a spriest does make it easier, another is to just cc the add after dpsing it down appropriately and stacking on it.
I thought they only added the portals to org.

The problem is that Cata didn't feel like it offered me anything new.. Sure, it was exciting the first couple of days, maybe weeks, but then?
I kept trying to convince myself that WoW was now .. refreshing .. but I started to notice how I was playing less and less every day, until logging in for the dailies just became a drag. Something I wanted to be over quickly.. Not something fun, by any stretch of the imagination

Hopefully the drop in numbers will make blizzard look at why people left and hopefully they will release new stuff and that they could make some things free, such as a fraction change or something.

@nonvolatilegeek I don't think making faction change free is the best business idea especially seeing as you can roll both alliance and horde on the same server (unlike that awful game Allods). Although I do get where you're coming from and it would be nice to see some of the additional services made cheaper or free. The main problem is that they kind of screwed up Wrath and when they bumped up the difficulty people left because they couldn't handle it.

I believe some of the reasons are:
1. as you said, nothing really new
2. the difficulty raised so some people didn't have patience to continue.
3. it gets boring. It gets really really boring. After 5 years (that's how long i've played) it just gets boring... it's boring to look at, boring to play, boring boring boring :P

Immersion in WoW has been fading away for a while now. Anyone else remember the long boat rides? Apparently one too many people were going "zomg I have to get back to grinding" and turned a relaxing virtual ship ride into even more of a teleport than it already was. And I don't even know WHAT the hell Blizzard was thinking when they started filling all the random spawn treasure chests with junk, then later proceeding to phase them out altogether.

The problem I see with fragmented legendaries, is they are tied to the player not the guild, not that I play anymore, but my former guild could have made 5 Shadowmournes before Cata released, 3 people just took most of the shards then server transferred.
For Wrath specifically, shards dropped like candy, not exactly legendary, just an epic that took longer to acquire.
