thanks for posting this - plastic in the ocean is a huge problem! Huge! Every single plastic fork and cup you use this holiday season will outlive us all, and end up in the ocean somewhere. Every stupid shopping bag and water bottle will outlast all of us! Even our kids. We have to stop using so much plastic. Thanks again MamboDervish!
@MamboDervish Recycling helps, but reuse, or not using so many disposable things like plastic bags and containers helps the most. And you are right about fracking.
@Maxdwolf You are correct - the dolphin's esophagus goes from the mouth to the stomach. The trachea goes from the blow hole at the top of the head to the lungs. The sad truth is that dolphins eat plastic bags, the bags get stuck in the stomach, and the animal starves to death slowly, because the digestive tract becomes clogged. I did oversimplify for cartoon dialog - Mr. Chainsaw's daughter has limited understanding.

Devastating environmental damage. Does recycling help the matter?
We also have our water supply to protect. Hydraulic fracturing is threatening our water tables.

Technically, I don't think dolphins can choke on what they eat, as the esophagus and trachea are not connected.
