  • The solo is almost better than the original version.

  • 4:19 Dissposile heroes????

  • 4:24 - 4:28 'Disposable Heroes Eve' lol ...And Demos For All!

  • I absolutely love the complete ...And Justice For All album. The songs are dark, heavy, sometimes even a bit doomy and Hetfield's vocals...oh man.

The only thing that bothers me about the album is the fuzzy guitar tone.If they had a guitar tone similiar to this demo, I would be 100% happy.

  • @ThrashTillDeath123 it's not fuzzy at all ahaa it's the best metal tone i've ever heard

  • lol

  • From this to Lou Reed WTF?!?!?!

  • Wadananana

  • this sounds so good xD i like the version you hear on the album but this is the shit xD

  • The guitar sounds so fucking thick and thrashy, and the gritty drums on the chorus just makes me wish this demo had the real lyrics because it sounds 200% more thrashy than the final recording which itself is the fucking epitome of thrash

  • bahaha wanananananananana all XD

  • they need to go back to using the mesa mark series amps

    possibly the mark v

these amps suite there style so good

  • @dusted04 there sound went weird because of the "load" album, now that there starting to come back they should start using those maps again. come to think of it i think they are using those maps but different settings

  • ..And Wa nana For All Q LOKO KKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK

  • FUCKING LOL!

  • James' lyrics on this demo are isnpired by Kirk Hammet.

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHA dear mother, dear father i wanna a nana!

  • Wanana's Eve.

  • Dear Nana, please send more cookies, mom and dad are being total bitches.

  • I want a finished Metallica album with lyrics like these xD

  • Fucking awesome solo !

  • dear mother, dear father, here i am at camp granada!

(just picture it, how much cooler it would be sung by metallica.)

  • Studio lyrics > Demo Lyrics

    Demo Solo > Studio Solo

    Demo Tempo > Studio Tempo

    Demo Snare > Studio Snare

Demo Quality > St. Anger Quality

    lol

  • @pchermidafilho97 i think you really hit the nail on the head with the hammer of justice with that one.

  • disposable heroes at 4:23

  • Still no fucking bass.. :(

  • my favortite quote of the year - wanananananananawananwanananana - James Hetfeild

  • why James sounds so younger than the final version?

  • Comment removed

  • @megaflyinbrian Most of the songs don't have the real lyrics, just James filling it with 'Na-na-nahs', this means that these demos were recorded before most of the writing began.

  • @Senesse05 thanks

  • @megaflyinbrian it's in the description lol

  • OMG the demo sounds 841663284194% heavier and better!

  • dear mother dear father, wanananananananana

  • still no bass lol

  • Yeah well, Metallica is still great... Nothing wrong with a change in musical direction, you have to be universal when it comes to music and so Metallica has a little bit of everything for everyone

  • i dunno, but i can somehow hear the real lyrics, rofl

  • @HellBrYnger at some pionts james sings some of the real lyrics.

  • @underscoreisnotvalid wtf y would you wish for them to break up their music is fucking badass

  • @Xxale1025579xX

because now no one in the metal community tag Metallica as Metal, reason, they sell out themselves.

  • @SerkantKnight not everyone tihnks that they sell out because they change because they wanted not because someone tell them. some metal heads can be so narrow minded that they think all the bands must play like 100 mph everytime. megadeth slayer, anthrax, kreator have changed their music style

  • @Contreras1991 I AGREE! WHAT WOULD REALLY SUCK IS IF THEY MADE THE SAME STYLE ALBUM LIKE 12 TIMES!! C'MON PEOPLE! SMH. LOL.

  • @dapianoman76 LOL @ SMH. This isn't facebook.

  • @Kylan0728 I was using the SMH abbreviation years before I got a FB acct.

  • @dapianoman76 Was still popularized on facebook and Reddit, and honestly that's where it should stay. lol

  • ill never be able to hear this song the same again. ill go to sing, and just WAHNA WAH WAH NAH NA NA!

  • GUARANA ! jajaja

  • underscoreisnotvalid

Seriously dude? What band today has a consistent catalogue? What band has like 10 albums out and every one of them is a masterpiece?

  • i wish lars couldve died in a car accident or something after this masterpiece of an album was released, then everyone would've remembered him as a badass drummer rather than the piece of shit he is today. also wouldve been cool if metallica broke up after this album. then they would've have had one of the most consistent & awesome music catalogues of any band ever, and they would get the respect they deserve... without shitty death magnetic etc. weighing down their reputations as musicians

  • @underscoreisnotvalid lol retard. if you dont like their music, dont listen to it and dont tell us your opinion about metallica today. they changed their music, so what?

  • @underscoreisnotvalid lol at lars instead of anyone else. what you said seems messed up, but yeah ,death kindof immortalizes you

  • @underscoreisnotvalid how can you wish death to a person that has never done anything to you idiot?!!!

  • @oelapaloma yeah true. lol, i was exaggerating but ok. im just saying lars sucks now. if he had died after this, he wouldve been immortalised as a legend, like jimmy hendrix and all that, opposed to a douche that can't play drums, like he is now days

  • @underscoreisnotvalid how is he a douche now a days when he does more for the fans than he ever has and please explain to me how he sucks? have you not heard him play at Nimes, France in 2009 or Mexico City in the same year? He did the best that he has done in almost 20 years.

  • @Catsfan90 hey im not saying hes a shit dude, im sure hes a lovely guy & is great with fans, but im just saying everything about his drumming, technique style, sloppiness & his 'trying-to-always-be-as-philosophical-and-intellectual-as-possible' personality just annoys me. he just comes across like an idiot most of the time & thats coming from a huge metallica fan. & its pretty much universally accepted that lars is a shitty drummer post 2000's. ive got the nimes dvd & that only confirms my point

  • 4:22 - Part from disposable heroes :D

  • @TheOrionification yeahh true

  • Metallicas most technical and heavy sounding album... Why couldn't they get stuck in justice for all mode forever !? Ok, maybe not forever but at least 2 or 3 more albuns...

  • @megahurtz30 I couldn't agree with you more, this is my favorite album.

  • If metallica played this song at this tempo right now I am sure Lars could do the double bass no problem.

  • damn this sounds better that the production on st anger

  • They should compile the demos into an album and name it "..And Wana Nana Na All"

  • @BillyOfPyrovore

Hell Yeah.. And Wana nanas for All... :D

  • @BillyOfPyrovore Would nananana be wananana nana na na na nanana epic

  • @BillyOfPyrovore what about...

    ...And Wa nana For All??

  • Every Metallica song, I headbang in a "yes" motion, but for some reason this songs makes me headbang in a "no" motion. I have no idea why.

  • yeah double bass

  • 1.18

    DEAR MOTHER DEAR FATHER!!!!!

    WAH-NA-NA-NA-NA-NA-UAR-E-OU!!!!

Imagine little James really screaming at his parents like this because he wants to stay out longer or sth :-D

  • @hetfield4president he dose the whanna na na na na in make every song so he nose were he wants the words and see what he can fit in there

  • @txxshad0wxxt I know, dude! I just imagined James as a kid yelling at his parents ;-)

  • are you kidding me. this is the crappiest sound i´ve ever heard. u destroyd it man

  • @jimpornse Metallica made this themselves, genius, this is the rough version they recorded before the album

  • lyrics please?

  • @pumishumi

Wah nana wah nana dear mother dear father wananananaaaaaaaaaaa *guitar solo* wah na.

  • y does they only do calm music now? we want more music like these

  • @omega0078 Have you even listened to Death Magnetic?

  • @omega0078 Have you listened to Death Magnetic? It's thrash like this for the most part.

  • Lyric - nanananananananananannnnaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

    much better than:

    iiiiiiiiieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

  • Dyers Eve is the last time Metallica did a real thrash metal music.

After and justice for all, music for the people.

  • i love that raw live sound, sounds so organic especially with the drums

  • I gotta say this song is probably my favorite. Did anybody notice that one part of Disposable Heroes during the solo?

  • bananananana

  • @alacar91 XD

  • I na na na na na love na na na na this na na na song!!

  • This is the most kickass song Metallica ever made. The reason is, I can't get a degree on my asskicking meter.

  • whoever thinks Lars uses a drum machine for the double bass needs to listen to this

  • better than the album version music wise.

  • FUCKING THRASH

  • anthology of lyrics...snif snif

  • the nananana parts are unfinished lyric.

  • nananananan mother nananananan father nanananana wananananananana(superdouble bass) nananananananananananananan xDDDDDDDDDD

  • Comment removed

  • Responder a este vídeo... xDDDDDD

  • ¿Que chuchas dice James, esta taradeando la canción?

  • @Bekloquendo06 que acaso no es obvio

es una guia melodica de como iria la voz, que obviamente aún no estaba terminada

  • this is awesome, but it poses the question, if Lars cud do the double bass for this demo in the one take, why did he have to do the actual studio recording of the double bass in multiple takes? i think the album version is slightly faster so maybe the higher tempo was too much for him

  • @HeartlessNobody1314

to make it absolutely perfect...they had over 100 takes on enter sandman and the complexity of that song is nothing at all compared to this.

    they perfectionist sorta i guess

  • Thank you Lars and your double bass. Sucks Metallica is getting older =(

  • the production here sounds better than the actual album. No crappy clikcing bass drum and the guitars sound heavier. It still needs work of course, but polished version of this would of been better.

  • @poonoo87 yeah!!! that's what i think of the last album "crappy clicking bass drum"!!!! "CLICKING"

    perfect definition!

  • But it can't be worse than the frying pan snare on St. Anger...

  • They should come out with another garage Inc CD! With a llll of there demos and I will be a happy plant!

  • "dear mother dear father, nana na na na nana na wah"

  • This is the shit that punches people right in the fuckin face!!! Metallica loud and fuckin heavy!!

  • METALLICA FOR LIFE \m/

  • whats pretty impressive is that the do not have any vocals but the dear mother dear father part and what have you put me through line... he obviously was pretty sure its gonna be about mother and father...

  • wow i've heard this demo a lot and this is the first time i noticed the disposible heroes riff in the solo at 4:25.

  • for those who don't get why he sings like that, you need to see the making of 1991's Black Album, on VH1 Classic. He would do that for demo's, where he didnt have the full lyrics written, he would improv

  • JAMES WORDS TOUCHES ME

  • Eric Cartman on vocals

  • Is it just me or do these demos put a huge smile on your face??? One word.....TREMENDOUS! \m/ \m/

  • funny! :D

  • As I always say "It's Headbangin' Good!!"

  • Epic lyrics

  • These were the original lyrics, you guys just didnt like em

  • @BooVII james say that in the ''classic albums: the black album '' jejeje xD its funny

  • yeeh we can hear some bass here!

  • Dude this definitely is from disposable heroes...

  • If dyers eve is about james growing up, damn he growed up fast!

  • the lyrics are better than rap

  • @DaveShredder5150 Rap done right is acutaly quite alright.

  • I like this lyrics but they are hard to remember xD

  • heres the lyrics: dear mother dear father wah na la na na ha la bla bla bla

  • I like these lyrics better than the original ;D

  • hahaha! Wtf are those lyrics :)

  • Gotta love the lyrics: Dear mother, dear father! Wanananana! Wanananana! What is this hell you have put me through? Wanananana!

  • my fucking god, this wananana stuff is epic

  • You know, I'm willing to bet that "wananana" thing is a good way to outline a song that you're creating for the purpose of being able to play on guitar and sing at the same time. Just a rough idea.

  • So to everyone who said that he didn't play the double bass part can kiss my ass.

  • @justinjoewills true but he cant play it anymore without screwing up big time

  • WNANANAANA!

  • wa na na na na na na na na!

  • I dare someone to write a full lyric page for this song!

If I ever make a song, I'll be sure to say 'WANANA' all the time.

  • is that lars playing? OMG he can actually do db on dyers eve chours :OOOO

  • @Daniel513555

ofcourse Lars can do double bass, that dude is like a human metronome o_o" (or however you spell it, i 4gots :|)

  • I imagine that this is what 2 year old James Hetfield sounded like. haha

  • I'm liking the lyrics ;)

  • best lyrics ever lol

  • is james just going wa na na na? Kinda sounds like kurt cobain lol

  • Lol Why Wa na na na na na?

But still James even makes this sound cool!

    Awesome demo!

  • Comment removed

  • best... Metallica song... ever.... omg I just jizzed listening to this

  • Imagine you spect to hear dyers eve with full lyrics Metallica live

and suddenly james hetfield sings "Dear mother dear father wa na na na na nana! no!"

  • such a brutal track, makes me want to punch a baby and kick a preist in the nuts :P

  • DEAR MOTHER DEAR FATHER, WA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA

DEAR MOTHER DEAR FATHER WA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA

WA NA NA NA NA, WHAT IS THIS HELL YOU HAVE PUT ME THROUGH

DEAR MOTHER DEAR FATHER, WA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA

    ahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

  • id think they had the full lyrics written yet but funny

  • 4:24 haha Kirk is doing a lil bit from Disposable Heros of Master of Puppets. I feel so proud that I knew that! :)

  • I just have one question, WHY THE HELL DID THEY NOT USE THE UNUSED SOLO PARTS ON DEATH MAGNETIC?

  • yeah, most of death magnetic's solos suck balls

  • not all

  • fuck you they are awesome!!

  • @dudo5000

Because you know, it's probably in a different key and pattern than their other songs. But you seem to know nothing.

  • @Heaterboy Transposing is possible. Besides, not saying note for note but bette to base off from the unused solos.

  • @dudo5000 hahahaha they like changing it up AS YOU KNOW...good question though ahah

  • wa-na-na-na!!!

  • much better and heavier

  • no this isnt about abort, but i think harvester of sorrow maybe.

but i think its about james childhood (harvester) and when he was a teenager (dyers eve).

  • @XXXkLeCiIj69XXX

Dyers Eve is him growing up.

Harvester of Sorrow is about a man growing steadily angry with his family through drug use, and eventually kills them. Hence the amazing chilling was he whispers "INFANTICIDE" before the outro.

  • I cannot get enough of this version of the solo and the drums during it...

  • you gotta love the drums here, they sounds much better then in orginal studio version

  • i don't know if anyone did notice but lisent to 4:23 that looks like a bit of Disposable Heroes x)

  • lol maybe he did this before disposable heroes xD then thought of 4:23 and put it in that song xD

  • no dude read the description

  • ok and what about it. just says the other demos.

  • This demo was recorded in January 1988.

Master of Puppets demos were made in 1985.

  • ah ok i see. haha.

  • yes, i think so xP

  • @osmeustomates Sure is.

  • @osmeustomates haha the solo part xD

  • @osmeustomates i didnt know you can see music XP (lsd)

  • @MetaITV hun? i didn't get it...

  • @osmeustomates sorry

  • @MetaITV np...

  • @osmeustomates oh i know what happen, i meant to reply to someone else , i reply to you on accident

  • @MetaITV okay dude no problem

  • Somehow, the lack of real lyrics makes it remind me of how I write songs... it's mostly a guitar melody over which you hum (or in James' case, growl) the basic idea of what the vocals should sound like. Works really well for me.
