I absolutely love the complete ...And Justice For All album.The songs are dark, heavy, sometimes even a bit doomy and Hetfield's vocals...oh man.

Somehow, the lack of real lyrics makes it remind me of how I write songs... it's mostly a guitar melody over which you hum (or in James' case, growl) the basic idea of what the vocals should sound like. Works really well for me.
