I wonder if this is possible with a FIXED TIP TOP because i have had no experiance with a bearing tip top because they only sell them online and of none of the stores where i live so i don't know.

Yes some of these tricks are possible with a fixed tip top. The main difference is that the fixed tip top will slow down so quick that each trick can only be held for a few seconds.

Finding any bearing system top to buy, even on the internet, is getting next to impossible.

@skillteacher The only tops I know of anymore are spintastics, I was lucky enough to come across a BC, but it's too small for my hand... so now i'm considering getting a trompo online.

Yes, just go to the Spintastics website. They have lots of basic spintop tricks. You can also type in "Beginner Spin Top: How to throw" here on youtube for a clear explanation on how to wind and throw a top.

The top I use is out of production, I know that bearing system tops spin the longest. Another youtube poster, cowgirlsam, may know. She works with people a lot teaching top skills.
