@jmsschooner - When the group who made this layout is the Australian Model Railway Association, it'd BETTER be even and straight! My guess is they did a lot of measuring, planing and sanding before one piece of track was laid. I can't speak for that particular loco, but most of the better Aussie locos available today can be had with or without DCC and sound. "DCC Ready" actually means it isn't DCC yet; "DCC On Board" means it has been fitted.

that must have been a really long time a go the layout dont look any thine like that now the truck plane has changed 100% on that part of the layout
