I really wish Doug Marland built on this dynamic with James and Barbara. by this time Barbara had become so calculating and vicious, as a direct result of the victimization she suffered at the hands of James and other men. Keeping her that way and seeing her try to make James pay would have made GREAT storytelling,

@scottholmesfan That's because Emily is nothing but a stupid whore. Seriously, I hate her more than I hate Damian and Janet combined. And that's a lot of hate. I loved Hal with Barbara, and I hated the Hem storyline. Though I was rooting for Henry and Barbara all the way.
I just hate her so much. She goes does on Paul and James, hence making an enemy of Barbara. Then, she does Tom and Casey, ensuring that Margo will want to kill her. She really has a father-son complex. And people had the nerve to say Barbara/Henry was gross? Please. Emily did it first, twice.
@prue6967 James and Paul AND David were her Stenbecks, while her Hughes men were Tom, Casey and Chris. Her low self esteem got the better of her, but I can't imagine ATWT without her.
@Oakdalian I can. But then, it wouldn't be a soap opera without the town slut, now would it? I really don't think Emily has low self-esteem. I just think she's conniving, and will do whatever she has to to get who she wants.
