  • The Beach Boys are still doing a good job but this particular concert is like .....well, the wrost ever! I've seen so many videos of this one and I can never sit through the whole things.

  • wheres BRIAN , AL,CARL, DENNIS...ummm.. This is ONE real beach boy and one almost real..and no one else..

  • The beach boys will never die.

  • there voice never fade

  • He's friggin' 70- what do you expect?

  • mike love sucks, and so do the phoney beach boys

  • i just realized that this is were they got the key lime cove jingle from

  • il chante faux maintenant pas de vois

  • @snap61200 Vas faire mieux, il a près de 70 ans. So shut your fucking mouth bastard.

  • Legends!

  • Doesn't sound as good without the vocals of Carl Wilson, God rest his soul.

  • holy fuck mike love aged terribly.

  • @trogdor20X6 The rock n' roll lifestyle takes a toll.

  • AGE IS A KILLER..YOU GUYS ARE STILL AWESOME (:

  • god bless them

  • It's NOTHING without the incomparable Carl Wilson !

  • You can not dislike the beech boys, BRILL

  • I love Beach Boys music , I go to Waukesha I can see them

  • i love carls part when hes like oooohhhhhhhhh i wannna take it to the kokomo like it up

  • love dis song <3

  • i dont understand why people dislike this song so much. Ok it's not classic beach boys. But it's a fun catchy pop song. Does not desere all the hate it gets.

  • Yes, it's true. They are getting older. But they STILL ROCK!!!!!!!! Most of us can only hope to be as awesome as they are when we're their age! :)

  • @emmydooloos The only original member is Mike Love. The rest of the band (with the exception of Bruce Johnston) hadn't even been born yet during the Beach Boys heyday. That's why they don't seem to be aging.

To put it in perspective: Imagine a group calling itself "The Beatles" that consisted of Ringo Star and a bunch of people you never heard of. Would you really think you had just seen "The Beatles?"

  • awesome!

  • Timeless hit! Hoo!

  • Stupid obvious recording usage.

  • 1:58 someone is not a fan

  • not to good

  • nice.nice and very nice

    voice did not change

    love you beach boys

  • mahal ko kayo beach boys!

  • Some music will never die

  • @NHwild184 it's true my friend: some music will never die... they're legends....

  • it's all going so well untl they come to Carl's part... then you suddenly realise...

  • That miserable bitch at 1.58 sure looked like she was enjoying herself, why bother going to a concert with an attitude like that. What a waste of a life

  • Legion of Rock Stars version almost sounds better than this:(

  • Don't break a hip, guys. ;D

I kid. They tore it up.

  • ----great song...but sure slow hey !

  • @proisle that's as fast as ML can formulate a thought. Sorry.

  • I saw Mike and Al in Reno last summer 2010...very cool. (And fun!). Mike's son is now lead guitar and he's very good. Love Brian Wilson, too, and the current line up is excellent. Please watch my "Video Response" for a 'scope of the set list. Peace.

  • @theJaydog You saw ML and AJ last year? Where? In court? I cannot imagine them performing together.

  • The Beach Boys AT THE LEAST would be if Brian and Al joined up with Mike and Bruce again. There will still be a hole without Dennis, and especially Carl, but as Brian said, "What can you do?"

  • carl wilson in the audience at 3.27?

  • Every time I hear this I keep singing about 'your camel-toe'...

  • give them a chance.. they are still the beach boys though..

  • People cm They sound strange but are The Beach Boys. I agree that Brian and Al aren't in the band but come on give them a chance. Also check for a video taken this year of a concert featuring Al Jardine

  • This sounds awful!!! Sounds like a group of tired old men who don't have any breath to sing!!

  • @lcchocolate59 I thought I was the only one! Hard to believe the audience is enjoying it that much, they must have had too many tropical drinks melting in their hands. I blame the Beach Boys for that!

  • @lcchocolate59 If you don't like or appreciate the song, you don't have to listen to it!

  • @409442 I never said I didn't like this song , all I was saying that this version isn't as good as the original recording done in the 80's. -that's all ! So don't take it s personally!

  • @lcchocolate59 Sorry, I guess I misunderstood. Of course the original was better, as you had most of the original Beach Boys playing on it (with the exception of Brian & Dennis).

  • pathetic

  • MIke never my favourite Beach Boys but he is keeping the music alive. Way to go Mike (and Bruce)

  • No Brian or Carl or Dennis Wilsons and Mike Love thinks he owns this band. It ain't the same.

I agree with the guy saying he wouldn't pay the ticket price at a casino. I told my girlfriend who wanted to see "Mikey Love" at Winstar Casino in Oklahoma, "THAT is NOT the Beach Boys". Maybe if they had Brian but they don't.

  • Sorry, no offense...but it just isn't the same without the Wilson bros....

  • Wow, I miss Carl!! No one could do his section in this song as good as him.

  • Damn, I wouldn't go see these guys at a casino.

  • F*** You, Mike Love.

  • WOW THE BEACH BOYS ARE GETTING OLD! but even at 60+ they are just as EPIC!

  • I love ya Mike. but it's time to give it up and let it rest

  • What a rotten weedy piss-poor version that was...

  • wow, they can still let it rip!

  • Great Mike!!! Viva Beach Boys

  • I want to thank my dad for showing me the true gift of music...i am almost 30 years old i love older music thanks for showing me the ways daddy...i love you

  • @ketterashley i have about 15 years on u and congrats to your dad and i am so glad he steered you in the direcion of amazing music. enjoy it all is all i have to say. there a lot of oldies but goodies out there!!

  • @choirmomm1 I would have heard thier music anyways considering i come from a family that LOVES music

  • seen the beach boys in canada new brunswick to be exact- concert they put on was amazing- 2 and a half hours non stop- have also seen them 2 other times in new brunswick on parlee beach- they will never grow old and there music will always be around

  • this is like jurasik park

  • @photogramistic Why???

  • The Frog..?

  • Not quite the same without Brian's harmonys coming through :(

  • @Spursy79 Kokomo was recorded without Brian... Only Mike, Al, Carl and Bruce.

  • carl wilson is alive 3:28

  • wow is carl around in this?

  • @peterpan5031 No.

  • @alienhuman then how could they even sing good vibrations without him he's the one who sings it

  • @peterpan5031 pete... see above.

  • @alienhuman huh who's pete?

  • @peterpan5031 Carl died in 1998

  • Oldschool rock and roll rocks! love their albums. they still got it even at their age... more power beach (boys) men!

  • Better than the Beatles

  • @Javier23gol I don't think so , even Brian said that he was blown away by RUBBER SOUL and SGT PEPPERS, it's because The Beatles are British and no fucker likes it that we had the greatest band ever, in my humble opinion hence why they have sold more records or cd's that any other band and a billion people can't be wrong. Saying that THE BEACH BOYS are a fantastic band, this song is really shit though, they had their day in the 60;'s along with The Beatles.

  • why did they skip that sax solo?

  • @tejojo someone farted in the sax b4 they sang.

  • @plcj80 lol

  • it's only a Beach BOY..

  • i noticed it's the baby boomers who sing along :P

  • i loveeeeeeeeee that

  • Mike Love never was much of a singer. But at least you could say he was unique. Now, though, time to give it up. For the real Beach Boys, check out those early sixties live videos

  • I saw the Christmas Concert in December. They rocked big time!!

You guys still have it! Good jokes and all..

  • A back up band for Bruce & Mike do not equal the Beach Boys in any way at all.

  • You know?, there are so very few songs in the universe that can just bring you happiness and peace, and this is one of them.

    Just a brilliant composition.

Thank you, Brian Wilson for a good 50 years of great and timeless music.

    RIP, Dennis and Carl.

    Joseph F

  • I saw the guys in Manchester a few years ago, they were brilliant! They did 51 tunes on the night. Everything from Surfing USA to Kokomo, superb.

  • at least they still sing from the heart! they don't need to prove anything to anyone! they're already legends!!

  • They need to hang it up..it aint the real Beach Boys..dennis and Carl have passed away and Brian is no longer with the band. Mike Love barely stays in key....folks, this is just a close imitation..it aint the Real Beach Boys....hang it up Mike..

  • they will never go out of style, they are legends. Perfect songs.

  • @silverwingfaerie Um, they don't go out of style but Mike Love hasn't been able to sing for what, 30 years? And the rest of the "Boys" aren't there. They are an embarrassment to once-great songs.

  • GOING TO THE CONCERT IN PERTH FEB 7 2010, FINALY I'L BE IN THE RIGHT PLACE AT THE RIGHT TIME AND ILL BE ABLE TO SEE THESE GUYS. The beach boys were the first Record I listned to when i went through my dads record collection when I was a kid, Been hooked ever since, I Got the Premium tickets, its going to be Awesome. I want Christmas/New years to be over so I can watch this show. Bring it on

  • lucky dog...bring back an umbrella from your my tie and show us you were there...ok bud?

  • @shanebx65wa

Too bad the guy that wrote all of that music wasn't there, and his two brothers are already dead.

  • Old rockers are BEST!!!

  • The man is in his 60 and been performing over 40 years Maybe you should give him some leeway here.

  • mike love is bald LOL!

  • this song misses Carl. god bless him

  • Every song misses Carl, he was just so important to the beach boys sounds

  • i love them! go beach boys!

  • I love this song and I think Mike sounds better than ever.

  • This aint the Beach Boys this is the Mike Love show.

  • I still like the Beach Boys as they are in 2009. Saw them in St. Louis this year. Still awesome. Sure they don't have 4 original members but they still put on a pretty darn good show. Yes, I have seen them before they all left or died. Very entertaining and good memories.

  • Lame song ... sorry folks. I love & adore the original Beach Boys, right thru'out their career up until the last of the Wilson Brothers left the band's 'banner' / badge-name. But if it weren't for Brian .. and, for that matter also good old Carl + Dennis + Al ..... Mike Love would still be a gas-station attendant , like he was in 1961 ....

  • wow what is wrong with mike love's voice? its all shakey

  • allergies, but he always shows up.

  • ~cool guy ... stfu m8 hes the man

  • This is not the Beach Boys. Its Mike Love whispering and trying to pay child support for his 9 kids

  • Look at recent concerts, his voice is much better now

  • Agreed. It's a BB cover band featuring ML. The last BB concert was in 1996. No Wilsons... no BBs.

  • @alienhuman actualy most of the original band performed at disney in 2006

  • @dennissmusic No sir. Only Mike Love. Bruce Johnston is a 'near-original'.

  • @dennissmusic in fact, the music video for this song was filmed at disney's grand floridian hotel.

  • @alienhuman where did brian wilson go? he's still alive

  • @mgamegatun if this is a serious question... BW is touring on his own with a great band and some old friends. Check out brianwilson dot

  • @alienhuman And Bruce Jhonston

  • @Javier23gol I suspect BJ is paid a check just like the other band members. I doubt ML gives him split. Just my opinion.

  • @alienhuman - I saw the BB with Carl in 1997, July 4th show in Lewes Delaware. Great show, too! However, Carl passed in late 1997 and was still touring part time. However, I agree with your assessment; they are only marginal coverbands now.

  • Outstanding!

  • where is brian now ?

  • it awesome

how come it does not have that sounds that did on there cd

  • nothin like the Beach Boys. :)

  • The musicality of these guys is really exceptinally good IMO.. great band. (excluding this far-too-old performance obviously)

  • Looks like they should stop going to Kokomo.

  • I *love* this song, and love the beachboys, but what's wrong with the lead singers voice in this? It's *way* out? Just goes to show how much vocal effects processing was in the released recording?

  • Mike Love Lost his voice he is like 70 years old. It's still a good song. Cowsill Rocks to.

  • The Beach Boys, there's nothing like the memories, and know that we have experienced some incredible times

  • the beach boys are nothin without Brian and Carl Wilson!! there tryin but sorry you can hardly hear them. Love the original line up

  • i love this song but damn these guys are ready for the retirement home.....looks like abraham simpson singing

  • haaaaaahaaaaaaaaa

  • hahaaa... abraham. too true.

  • good video

  • DOnt Dis the BEach Boys

  • GOOD VIDEO!!!

  • I didn't take the black people liking the Beach Boys comment as racist at all. I happen to be black myself, and YES, I like the Beach Boys. They're my favorite group, and have been since 4th grade. Actually, I LOVE the Beach Boys!

  • great american music.

  • thats music

  • hard to hear without carl

  • Its just amazing how you can see clips of mike love in the 60's (his prime of course) and then 25 years later, the same man, still doing it.

  • Comment removed

  • that is an in ear monitor... most of your pros are using them now days instead of floor monitors.... or they will use both.... watch other artists they use them also...

  • I didn't expect black people (no racist pun intended) to like the Beach Boys, but it's cool that they do.

  • what? you got a fucking problem?

  • What a fucking mystery comment dude. What the fuck is going to make black people like the Beach Boys any less than a person of any other colour?

  • The glass in front of the drummer is so he can hear the drums. Without it, drums tend to get washed out by the amplifiers.

  • nice song....i love it!

  • What is that glass in front of the drummer?

  • it is not beach boys but it's nice to see mike en bruce.

    i can live with this.

  • dude it's the Beach Boys alright, you don't know music

  • not all the beach boys of the 60's.

it's not bad but with carl and al jardine is it better.

and i know verry much of music.

  • have to say Mike's voice has deteriorated pretty badly...

  • hope your gran'pa could sing better than this, pal... The man has more than 65 years old. He can't do miracles.

  • I've seen him a few times in the past years and he sounded damn good to me (and I'm mainly a Brian Wilson fan, too!).

  • no way man!

  • wow still rockin :D

  • they should get brian to rejoin the band for reunion tour that would rock dudes music fest in oberlin ohio town square june 28 23-26 same place

  • Carl would be turning in his grave ,.am glad Carl dont know about this,.Carl Wilson man you are forever the greatest,.....

  • Wow, I second your comment... Carl covers your ears!

  • Mike -- fool you are -- Kokomo is in Indiana!! hee heee

  • No Brian? LAME! This is basically a nostalgia act

  • Lame! This is probably making Dennis and Carl roll over in their graves.
