Well Eric is supposed to sound foreign because his character is a Viking. Bill should sound at least a little different because he had gone into hiding & traveled (I assume) before the vampires came out of the coffin. Also, the guy who plays Sam is from Louisiana. So, I think people from the area have all kinds of accents. After all, I live up by Chicago and I don't sound like the stereotypical Midwesterner.

I feel the need to defend Eric's grammar. When using none with a count noun (as opposed to a mass noun) either is or are would be correct. I think technically, this shows a great attention to detail as the "is" would have historically been used here and the only grammar rule has only recently (relative to being 1,000 years old) changed.

It is unfortunate that people still do not realize that the TV show and the books are not following the same path. Nor do the characters follow the books story line. The producers and HBO are taking a lot of liberties with the "script".
