When the Roman catholics conquered other parts of Europe they introduced Christian holidays on the same days as their original holidays like I said Christmas is an entirely pagan holiday called Saturnalia its where the whole tree and mistletoe thing comes from then Easter is from a holiday called Eostre-I looked that up myself didn't watch it in zeitgeist. The Epic of Gilgamesh is Noahs ark way older in Sumer.

Neither was the bible. When christians came along(not catholics at that time), they heard these stories of the same God they believed in performing miracles like noah/gilgamesh and his ark, and carried the story around with them. Now it's in the bible thanks to the (now catholic) paupacy.
