  • Gr8 effort & confidence to do such a tutorial BUT im sorry to say that its all wrong and you shouldnt try to teach something you dont know about.

Your musical terms aint right at all, the reasons you gave regarding tightening the trebble are very poor & actuali wrong.

'Sharp' is not a sound or a key (sur) its an accent..

The right way is to tune your Dhol trebble is to the key of the track that your performing to.

  • @fukalot4fun

**You can google any of the musical terms below**

How? You would find the route key of the track, then play that route key continuously and tap the edge of your trebble skin and you would hear the (route key) in the ringing of the trebble skin.

Also you would tighten two nuts that are opposite each other and carry this out all the way around your skin so that the skin aint stretched all to 1 side of the dhol, (**This is y your skin probably has messed up in the past**)

  • You mensioned not to loosen your skin coz of it ending up un-even in the long run but that is wrong, its coz you havnt tightend/tuned it right in the 1st place.

After playing your Dhol, the skins both should be undone so they can return to there normal size, WHY? So that the next time you tighten your skin it will start fresh from wr it did the very 1st time you tightend it..

To clarify, SHARP & FLAT are a term used in musical notation to refer to the black notes (MINOR/MAJOR) on a instrumen

  • Sorry if this offended anyone, it was not a telling off but just a little knowledge i thrt id share with you all to stop you from having trouble with you dhol's.

1 last thing, a size 13 spanner is 97% the correct size used all over the world for DHOL NUTS so that is probably what you need and not 'TOOLS'.. It would make your life easier..

Once again, good tutorial.. Keep it up, encourage and ENJOY.. Godbless x

  • awesome
