You know what I love about this series.... each games has a different final boss and a very intricate story... even the Bowser one had a good story!

You could do that, or you could play like a REAL man. It's a lot more fun at level 20 then at level 70. But I've already beaten it, so it doesn't really matter anymore:)

The contradicting this of this is that Peach has NO power... if she did she wouldn't be kidnapped in the first place... that's my only disliking of this scene : /

Maybe she was able to transfer her life energy using the Shadow Queen's magic? If the Shadow Queen is possessing her it's not too much of a stretch to say Peach can use her powers when she's in control. What I don't know is whether the crystal stars weakened the SQ directly or if it was just hearing the words of support made her lose her focus on keeping Peach under control/encouraged Peach to fight harder.

Or it could be that her powers are more support oriented, or need bolstering to be effective (see the wishing powers from the 1st PM, which show up in M&L 3 in conjunction with a star sprite- as well as her healing powers a lot of the time). I think the general trend is that Peach has some magic and combat powers, but they're not enough to stand up to Bowser and the like.

Then again, the RPGs all seem to be in their own little universe.

SMB: The manual states, that Peach can undo evil curses.

Super Mario RPG: Peach is great White Mage

First Paper Mario: Peach is the only one who's prayers can activate the true power of a star-sprite.

Super Princess Peach: So... yeah

M&L3: Peach once again prays in unision with a star-sprite. She robs Bowser of his powers and telecinetically throws him out of the castle.

So, Peach does have powers, but she usually needs to pray with star-sprites to activate them.
