  • Nice!

  • this is fucking awesome.

  • 3:05 meshuggah has melody?!

  • Meshuggah is awesome! i have to see them live again! the Atmosphere is unreal

  • I don't listen to alot of Meshuggah but this one is a favourite.

  • every time i hear the solo at 4:00 it reminds me of a friend i lost

  • lolz...i think its just me...but i really cant tell the difference between this version and the "normal"one.I hear some slight changes in the guitar sound...but thats it

  • @armenius28 You mean the one in the related videos? That's the same version as this, just wrong art cover on the video.

    /watch?v=rXCmvOe4hck , original piece.

  • 0:40 WOOPS SOZ

  • playing this for the 13th time

  • This song is just beautiful. It actually makes me feel better. I don´t even have to read the lyrics.

  • you know you're a metalhead when you fall asleep to this kind of song.

  • @TheThunderGirl1 Metal has Always relaxed me x)

Only a REALLY good blast beat run and a driving force will make me semi-hyper :P

  • @MooWBear :) that's cool

  • @TheThunderGirl1 LOL So true!!! The Metal head's lullaby lol...

  • I want to become one with this song

  • @fightthegov that's cool

  • I HAVE SQUIRREL AIDS!!

  • Comment removed

  • @strawspulled I see you got some tom woods on your channel. Nice to see some fellow Libertarian metalheads. ;)

  • @CloverfieldMonster95 Sweet you noticed the Woods =p

  • @CloverfieldMonster95 Ron Paul 2012!

  • I just can't get enough of this song, it's like falling into the depths of Mordor under the eye of Sauron then being rescued by Eagles led by Gandalf all the way back to the Shire, to finally take a boat and drift off slowly into the Undying lands under a resplendent sunset

  • Anybody know what tuning this is played in... drop B?

  • @sshhrroooomm

    Lol. Lower than B dude.

    From lowest to highest it's F A# D# G# C# F# A#.

  • @ChainsawVsGod oh i see....my standard 4 string bass doesnt have a shit show in that tuning....time for a 5 string

  • i showed alot of my friends the whole psycodelic-like part (3:33 onward) and they either thought it was "disturbing" or "very relaxing"...i think its both in a good way.

  • when 3:05 kicks in...i just can't help but to feel at home, peace, love, oneness, and everything inbetween...i just feel so euphoric.

  • it makes me happy that there's the word dillinger in the tags

  • As much as the guitars sound better, I wish they'd left the awesome original drums alone. Also, 3:05 onwards is one of the greatest Meshuggah creations, in history, ever

  • @ScrapBrainMusic yep that part is just... pure awesomeness

  • i believe firmly that this is the heavy metal from the future, meshuggah are ahead of their time

  • when the humming around 2:54 started, I thought my phone was going off.

  • @bacon70722 I find they have the most sincere, circadian swing around. when you stop counting and feel, it reveals itself to be closer to natural than one would believe initially.

  • Wie du hörst dir was anderes an? Wie hast du das fertig gebracht ?

  • ich kann nicht aufhören mir dieses stück anzuhören

  • i respekt this band fr not falling into hate .. unzerstörbar ihr schlampen!!

  • Listen to this while studying quantum physics or any rocket science ahahaha brain workout

  • @basspl4y4 i actually often do it xD

  • @basspl4y4 I listen to Meshuggah while doing homework. I do better than if I'm doing it like in a quiet place haha

  • a metronome-breaking song...hail Meshuggah! \m/

  • I had a dream last night that I was standing alone on the surface of the moon and gazing at the galaxy, and this was playing in the background.

Woke up to find my blanket in a mess. xD

  • I love Meshuggah, but I've always found it really difficult to bang my head to their music because of the fact that they never really carry any actual rhythm. Am I all alone here with this? lol

  • @hopecandecieve Listen to the drums for the rhythm instead of the guitars, it all follows a straight 4/4 beat.

  • @hopecandecieve Luckily this is one of their easier songs to headbang to. :)

  • @hopecandecieve They hold multiple rythyms in each song, ive heard rumors they record seperateley but im not to sure, they wreck shit live lol

  • @uberwarlocker ALL bands record separately in the studio unless it says "live demo" or some shit like that

  • @hopecandecieve I find it alot easier to think of Meshuggah's songs as a form of meditation. Sure it's chaotic at times, but always listen out for a simple 1 2 rhythm on a cymbal, or another section of the drum kit, just focus on that, and you should be right!

  • From 3:05 and on is the most beautiful thing I've heard in a long time. It shows just how versatile this band really is. From bludgeoning to beautiful before you've even realized it.

  • @Omeggia I seriously could not agree more, i remember the first time listening to this song i was like yeah ok, but around the 3:00 mark i was just gobsmacked. Totally unexpected of Meshuggah in my opinion, and that's why these guys will always be the top favourite!

  • And on the left in the related videos bar it says: Robot Drummer. I think you can understand why.

  • @MetalReigns2 No No sir, we don't call Thomas Haake a robot, we call him Thomas Haake. Now go sit in the corner for 15 minutes.

  • @uberwarlocker Balls... thats all i have to say.

  • @MetalReigns2 Good, now marvel in haake's wonderment of drumming!

  • daym meshuggah, you SCAREH

  • THIS is metal.

  • I wonder how this sounds on shrooms.. I bet you look like the guy in the picture there..

  • 3:05 - 4:55 This part is soo beautiful... I had never found anything so beautiful by Meshuggah...

  • @vaxkors95

God I know, in complete agreement. It's like they were touched by some God in the split moment when writing.

  • @vaxkors95 It's just the most obvious one, there is plenty of other Beautiful parts in Meshuggah songs.. Catch 33 has some beautiful parts, and many solo parts and shit in other songs too

  • Fuck that song is deadly, i wanna make the UFC just to use this song as an intro... people would die

  • @dujl statistics is all about random data ie drawing straws

  • When statistics and metal collide?

  • @JLynnAK Statistics?

  • Hope meshuggahs new album has more stuff like this :D

  • The "high quality" link in the description leads to the same video... cheeky bugger.

  • Kings ov chaos

  • Meshuggah are trying to conquer the world by melting all the human brains by following their polyrhythms.

  • @IcoTheBest Check out the piano version if you havent already, its one of the responses

  • the outro. it just gets me. every time.

  • @ungodlyvomit did you check out the piano version of this? Please do, its one of the responses

  • Gnarliest shit ever.

  • I think what is most amazing about Meshuggah is that, at first, it just doesn't seem to come together and it looks like a bunch of people trying too hard to make a complex song. But after your brain evolves to the right level, it all takes up sense and you can see the song in it and then you're suddenly listening to the most amazing tunes ever played.

  • @cactusnoturno The vocals, the guitars the bass, and the drums all come together to make an Insane song,

  • 2:30

My son tried to escape just kidding I SAW JEEEFFFF!!!

  • @antifaggot98

Man I laughed so hard at this. Thank you for making day.

  • @antifaggot98 Way to steal my observation. :P

  • @antifaggot98 lol is he not really sayin death?

  • @antifaggot98 LOL

  • @antifaggot98 Oh my god xD

  • i love how the beginning the album cover becomes visuable D:

  • Meshuggah and Pantera...rhythm sections so powerful. The songs move like well oiled, purpose driven machines. 2:11...fuck.

  • @robotsforever Never again those two bands in one sentence... bad boy....bad.....stay...... stay...... good boy.

  • @SquareWand I didn't compare them I said they both had great rhythm sections.

  • @robotsforever I know, I'm playin'. Dimebag was the bomb. But, I've been on a Meshuggah addiction phase for a few years now.. sorry. Its like a drug

  • @SquareWand what's wrong with putting pantera and meshuggah in the same sentence? They're more alike than you might think.

  • @Str8Faced Goovy as fuck!

  • @wastedwithin GOOVY! how i love goove metal haha

  • i just realized something. look at that figure on the album cover. does it remind you of something? EXODIA OBLITERATE!!!

  • @Fluffypopcicle dude you just made my day! hahahaha!!!

  • @Fluffypopcicle ummmmmmmm...............OH, wheres my 8 year olds memories. .....OH YuGi oh!??

  • @Fluffypopcicle

And after Obliteration there is Nothing. HURRRRR

  • @Fluffypopcicle cant believe i actually get that reference

  • @Fluffypopcicle You referring to yu gi oh? lol

  • @XxTh33ndxX

IT'S TIME TO DJ DJ DJ DJ DJ DJENT!!!

  • I can't stop listening to this song.

  • It's always refreshing to hear meshuggah. Always think they have their own sound, and this they mastered down to a science!

  • At :28 my brain melted

  • part after 3:05 is just mindblowing *-*

  • @BCRichJunky777 TRUE DAT! although meshuggah are just mind blowing everytime i listen to them no matter how many times i listen to them! its like fuckin a virgin! stuffs just so tight!

  • @BCRichJunky777

It's so goddamn emotional, which is kind of rare when it comes to Meshuggah.

  • I just shit my self...FUCK They found the BROWN NOTE!!!!!BOWWW.WOWWWW!!!!

  • @blaztradiouz666 is this antony

    ?

  • @lethalwepon57 no its not.sry.

  • @blaztradiouz666 I think this is more like the white note if you know what I mean.

  • @blaztradiouz666 bow chickawowwow

  • @blaztradiouz666 that's why they are crazy...

  • @blaztradiouz666 they did i just shit my pants to

  • thats kickass guitar no wonder why this band has been so influencial to so many other styles of metal they have many other styles in there music combined into one great band.

  • INTO THE ORIGIN VORTEX EQUALIBRIUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    PRICELESS LYRICS!!!

  • Probably one of the greatest songs.... EVER!

  • like this if your speaker cant take it anymore

  • @shidhantosen more like the foundation of my house can't take it anymore.

  • @Kre8noyz

    LOL

hight time the roof collapsed dont you think????

  • At 1:57, the guitar riff is in 3/4 while the drums are 4/4, right?

is that how they do it?

  • @tkdman45 Not at all, it's a normal meshuggah structure; the cymbal is keeping 4/4 while the snare and bass drum are repeating a 15/8 rhythm together with the guitars. Thus the beat is continuously lagging further behind the counting until it's behind by two quarternotes and then it jumps into the intense part.

  • meshuggah is the king of epic endings. I'm suprised they didn't fade out this one like usual, I could have listened to that riff another hour

  • @sinborn41214 ya the that rift that comes in at 4:28 i can hear that forever

  • Best ending ever. The best part about it is you're like, "How did I get here?" at the ending, and then you just start the song again and are amazed that you got taken that far.

  • @jsabbott0 thats the best part about meshuggah, the music legitimately moves your mind without you realizing, exposing you to subconscious thoughts and feelings, Catch 33 is an awesome example of that.

  • i just cried epic ending. no homo!

  • @1000asses so homo

  • i wanna go to india, china, beijing, japan coalescing fate in the mist and spiraling out into a tree

  • @BTBAMBoarder

    lol what? XD

  • My dream is to take LSD and listen to this. I remember when I was a child and I danced to the sound of the vacuum cleaner, and now, Meshuggah revived it. polirythmically.

  • @AlMachineKTC "I remember when I was a child and I danced to the sound of the vacuum cleaner." I remember those days well too my friend.

  • @AlMachineKTC so you're saying that you were on LSD that time as a child?

  • Is it normal for my balls to have shrunk after listening to this?

  • @xtremejc No, your genitals are supposed to become engorged with testosterone and adrenaline after the first 3 notes.

  • @RygorMortys Shit! I knew something was wrong.

  • @0:28 my balls exploded

  • Haha i love youtube fights. So pointless! None the less lets just focus on the topic aye? This song is fucking INCREDIBLE! Not to mention it kicks ass live!

  • Drumming to polyrhythmic is one hell of a challenge for any human being's brain. Oo

  • Raimundo91 doesn't like Meshuggah because he says Jens doesn't sing, he screams and he writes post after post about how much Meshuggah sucks. That's fine, not everyone likes metal. So who does he like? Kesha and Michael Bolton. Are you fucking serious? Someone who can't sing without Auto-Tune and well...does anything say "I question my manhood" more than listening to Michael Bolton? I can picture him blasting "When a man loves a woman" while bashing metal bands because they don't "sing".

  • 3:30 is some Tool shit.

  • from 3:05 on is just bliss

  • So many faggoty djent bands trying to copy this style and they suck.

  • Meshuggah are GODS!

    Enough said

  • one of my favorite songs, next to bleed, shed, anatomy lost, choasphere, spasm, and new millenium cyanide christ

  • @StickFigureG Chaosphere isn't a song.

  • i am now ready to offer my soul to meshuggah.

  • strings plucked at random

  • Strings Pulled At Random ?

    lawl

  • @Ician100 did you by any chance forget to press "play"?

  • @Ician100

    open your mind

  • @Ician100 It's probably boring because you don't have the attention span or ability to distinguish the way the beats add up. The climax is the perfect compliment to the harsh, pummeling introduction of the song. Your mind and soul must be weak, to not be able to appreciate such beauty.

  • @dujl

Oh fucking please. I love this song, but don't be a pretentious fuck that calls people inferior for not sharing your taste in music.

  • @TheOtium Why not?

  • @dujl

Because you're a ball-less little bitch that knows nothing about art.

  • @TheOtium Prove it, you inbred. You're just butthurt because I said something you found offensive. Who's a bitch? You would probably fall over even if we just entered the same room.

  • @dujl

"You cannot understand the complexity that is Meshuggah." You're a faggy little kid who thinks he has it all figured out, it's pretty obvious.

  • @TheOtium Lol, you're weak. Speaking the truth apparently hurts your inferior sensibilities. I am unconcerned by this.

  • @dujl You sir are what I call a badass.

  • @dujl

If you were unconcerned you wouldn't be replying. Fortunately, you're an arrogant poser.

  • @TheOtium Wrong. I'm posting because mocking you is hilarious. Read my comment again, if you have the capacity.

  • @dujl

You're mocking no one, only further proving my original points.

  • @TheOtium Nah, you never had a point. You're just a butthurt faggot who needs to get the stick out of his ass.

  • @dujl

Says the pretentious little bitch that thinks he's intelligent because he listens to Meshuggah. "No one can understand their complexity like I." They're a fucking metal band, get over yourself.

  • @TheOtium Lol, problem? Your resistance only makes my penis harder!

I didn't say no one else could understand them, I said that retard couldn't. PERHAPS YOU SHOULD READ MY COMMENT AGAIN. Or practice on your reading comprehension.

  • @dujl

You don't understand shit, only a bulging black cock in your ass.

  • @TheOtium Projecting much, faggot? I'm sure your boyfriend wants to hear all you have to say about cocks.

  • @dujl

He's not around, all there is is a pretentious little faggot.

  • @TheOtium Don't be harsh on yourself. Aw, that's so sad, but I'm sure he'll be around soon.

  • @dujl

You obviously cannot understand the complexity of the situation due to your inferior intellect.

  • @TheOtium Lmao. The comprexity of ur butthurt and me trorring u? Fo sho! ;D

  • @dujl

    lolwut

  • @dujl lolwut

  • @skullxer Mm, yes, the complex situation of his misconception, resulting in his scrawny ass getting pwnd. Lol. Idiots.
