I had a holland lop too. he was one of a kind. like you, my bunny was my everything. he just had the most lovable personality and sadly, he had to be put down last Halloween because he could no longer use his back legs. he was a ripe old age of 8 and a half years. i became very attached and still have a real hard time. Very cute video though.

@animallover6734 I had an animal bag that was meant for little dogs that I put her in and it looked like a normal school bag. And I only had her at school for a max 2 hours so she didn't need food and water while at school. Also, my teachers didn't care. They were all in shock that I actually brought my bunny to school haha
I had a bunny called Nibbles..I had him for 3 years and I got him when I was 8. i loved him soo much,he was litter trained he knew tricks such as...Sit,Lie down,come to me,and he knew how to walk on two legs,ha ha ha. But sadly when we moved house he escaped through the back gate and got eaten by a Fox..I was sad for months after. I got another one called Blackberry and he had a stroke :( R.I.P Burberry,Blackberry,Nibbles and everyone's loved lost pets xx :)
My rabbit is nothing like the one in your video. The minute I reach my hand inside her cage, she'll come lunging at me and biting my fingers like a feral dog who hasn't eaten in weeks. It's like she's some kind of trophy rabbit that I can't touch. Speaking of which, I have to clean her litter box tomorrow...

My rabbit dyed when i took him outside one day and he ran in to a bush and must have come in to contact with either a fertilizer or some rat poison. Either way when you take your rabbit outside you are taking a big risk as we do not know what might have been sprayed on the grass or what is in the soil. They will lick their paws and before you know it they are gone.

I wonder how the hell rabbits manage to survive in the wild if they are so stupid when kept as pets? Maybe wild rabbits learn to survive the hard way whereas their pet cousins are just lazy freeloaders.
@AlexDeLarge90 Rabbits in the wild tend not live beyond two years old, abd either get sick or eaten. Pet rabbits are no different to wild rabbits, psychologically, and most of the problems pet rabbits have is because most of them are kept in tiny accommodation (where they woudl normally cover 6 football fileds a day), they are bored and fed food that they would normally never eat - muesli, pellets etc. This is hardly something that the pet rabbit can be blamed for.
What a beautiful little girl! She looked very happy; I'm glad you did your homework on bunny care. It's always so heartbreaking when we lose a member of our family, no matter how many legs they walk (or hop) on. Are you planning on getting another one?

i also lost a bunny at 1:00 am wednesday in the morning i think she either had an abscess on her eye or a tumor but she was laying down and she started flailing like crazy and laid and her back and after screaming 2wice and seeing her chest pump hard i beleive she had a heart attack and she passed away with her eyes open... i miss having her nudge my hand 2 be petted so badly :'(

@Locomotive84 I guess they do it to get rid of any loose dirt on their little paws, such as grass, litter and so on, before they lick their paws and wash their "faces" and ears with them. As I already said, I love how this looks (and their face-cleaning also, I love it when they grab their ears ♥) and we spent a lot of time laughing anbout those moves, too.

@stupidblond428a :( When the daddy of my two bunnies and the "husband" of my mama bunny (thought they were boys. Long story!) died over the summer, I was very heartbroken. I still see little Buster in his children, my little Clover and Darby (now 5 years old)... the key to a long healthy life is feeding them Timothy-grass hay everyday and giving them timothy pellets. Mine have been very healthy and happy since I switched over. A new bunny heals the heart.
i might get a bunny and so i'd like to know if males or females are better in the holland lop breed also i go to school so will it be a problem if i leave the bunny at home and also how much is a regular check up for a bunny
@flowerpower341 I usually hear that males are better to have as pets because females can be terrotorial, however I love both :) If you get your bunny spayed/neutured, they really are happier animals and much easier to train/handle. It is okay if you're in school, just make sure you let them out atleast once a day for a minimum of an hour or 2. If not, they can become very over weight, so just remember they do require exercise. For check ups: anywhere from $25-$55

My guinea pig died at 1 1/2 years. It's so sad when you love a pet like crazy and they cross the rainbow bridge before their life span! I totally know what you're going through. I have a bunny now named Marilyn, she is 9 months old, (10 months on January 19th) and she is so precious to me, but I will always remember my little Trixie! (Rest In Peace Trixie and Burberry)

She's adorable! Its REALLY hard to let go when a pet dies.. But the best way to deal with it, is to reassure yourself that she loved you SOOO much! And that she enjoyed her time with you, on earth, even if it was only, unfortunately, two years -ツ

i also lost a bunny at 1:00 am wednesday in the morning i think she either had an abscess on her eye or a tumor but she was laying down and she started flailing like crazy and laid and her back and after screaming 2wice and seeing her chest pump hard i beleive she had a heart attack and she passed away with her eyes open... i miss having her nudge my hand 2 be petted so badly :'(

@Locomotive84 I guess they do it to get rid of any loose dirt on their little paws, such as grass, litter and so on, before they lick their paws and wash their "faces" and ears with them. As I already said, I love how this looks (and their face-cleaning also, I love it when they grab their ears ♥) and we spent a lot of time laughing anbout those moves, too.

@stupidblond428a :( When the daddy of my two bunnies and the "husband" of my mama bunny (thought they were boys. Long story!) died over the summer, I was very heartbroken. I still see little Buster in his children, my little Clover and Darby (now 5 years old)... the key to a long healthy life is feeding them Timothy-grass hay everyday and giving them timothy pellets. Mine have been very healthy and happy since I switched over. A new bunny heals the heart.

i might get a bunny and so i'd like to know if males or females are better in the holland lop breed also i go to school so will it be a problem if i leave the bunny at home and also how much is a regular check up for a bunny

@flowerpower341 I usually hear that males are better to have as pets because females can be terrotorial, however I love both :) If you get your bunny spayed/neutured, they really are happier animals and much easier to train/handle. It is okay if you're in school, just make sure you let them out atleast once a day for a minimum of an hour or 2. If not, they can become very over weight, so just remember they do require exercise. For check ups: anywhere from $25-$55
