I guess this is where personal opinion comes in. I personally think JD had only a few good songs and were very over rated. I do have much respect for their originality though. I feel New Order was better. I also think The Who was just OK and the pinnacle of alt rock were The Smiths and nothing has topped that. So many great bands out right now though. Keep ur ears to the ground.
