  • at 120mph, even if the car will not deform, the passenger will not withstand the force..

  • Thanks for the test,i'll drive that wall on some wheels,it will bump anything right away even if i go with 500 kilometers.

  • You guys, I think it's totaled.

  • @VWTDI92 really?

  • it doesnt matter how it held up anything above 40 mph to a sudden stop i do believe is not survivable.

  • haha, the guy is all freakin out... uhh duh! If you hit any car at 120mph, it will crush lol, this actually did well considering...

  • Almost looked like it was going to transform into a smart car for a second.

  • 1:05 The car was so scared it pissed itself!!

  • At 120 mph you will die even in a Leopard tank.

At this high speed the degree of deformation is irrelevant!

  • 120 miles per hour.

  • .

    .

  • I think a toy car is better than ford....

  • To the second top comment about "immobile objects". If you realized that 2 cars on a normal road going 96km/h or 60mp/h in opposite directions (a normal highway). There speeds are added together when they crash head on. So if 2 cars hit going opposite directions doing the speed limit above it would total 192km/h or 120mp/h (60mp/h or 96km/h x2). Which means this is what your gonna look like if you don't speed hitting head to head on a normal high way.

  • holy fuck

  • Jesus christ.

  • i hate fifth gear everytime they destroy good cars

  • if two cars are colliding each other, the momentum would add up twice as big

  • @luozk12345

No, it won't. Take a physics class.

  • Ken and Barbie were fucked.

  • i have gone that fast on the interstate in a chevy sonic this makes me glad i didnt crash i'd have to be peeled out of it

  • Compressed using winrar !!!!

  • If you crash like this..

    1. get up

    2. walk away

    3. find your arm & leg

    Simple :)

  • ta daaaaa u have a smart ;)

  • These guys in the UK should do that kind of testing on European cars instead. It creates a bad image for the US.

  • @vios131do poor wall

  • theres a little thing called a GOVERNOR. its been built into the engines of most ford cars since around 1995. the governor limmits a cars top speed to a programmed certain amout. that focus and most other family cars cannot reach that speed.

  • from Focus to Smart in .000068 milliseconds ;)

  • did he rip ass? 1:38

  • Its all good.. No Worries.. A Focus will never see those speeds.. Even in a head-on. lol

  • good wheels :)

  • I wanna see the carfax

  • not exist security for excess of speed. All cars the limit is maybe up 100km/h .

  • if this was hollywood the car would have exploded...

  • Yes never drive into a wall at 120 mph.

  • Focus.zip

  • @Motozeby LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!

  • This would have actually been interesting had they used a proper car

  • This looks that bad because the crash was against an immobile object such as a concrete wall. It would be better to crash the car against something mobile and deformable such as another car. And it has nothing to do with it being a "FORD". Every other car would probably look the same.

  • @atlneptun but if the car was driving tward the ford it would have been a even harder impact

  • @atlneptun it seems like u never went to school to know a about physics laws what an IDIOT....I feel sorry for u

  • @atlneptun

My Brother Crashed his Bmw m5 and the car was not so much damaged....

  • @atlneptun

I saw the Lexus IS, which has hit the wall at 150-170 km / h near the entrance to the tunnel .... We could only identify the markings on the wheels! :-(

  • @atlneptun The outcome wouldn't be much better than this. Plus, this test can be seen as a simulated crash on a motorway, like when someone lost control and hit a bridge support or else...

  • @atlneptun plus it was going 120

  • @atlneptun nah its a ford.

  • So this Is How They Make Smart Cars....

  • @10newsrox lmfao!!

  • Did that car go into a different dimension in the dumpster?

  • smart car is safer i think

  • well, the wheel stil turns

  • most people don't crash in to a massive steel reinforced concrete block head on. if they do crash in it an object its something like a lamp pole. or the concrete barriers in the middle of the motorway which move a little when hit and people usually hit them at and angle deflecting the car of to the side. Lessening the force of the impact so I would like to see this crash with an angled concrete barrier

  • it so creepy O.e

  • @juanOG213 No, its why there are SPEED LIMITS.

  • its becuz its a ford, and ford sucks real bad

  • @juanOG213 no shit, take your "x" car an give them to make a test with the same speed in that concrete wall

  • @Bizzare703 other cars while smash into that concrete and will look less than the metal-ball of shitey ass ford. Its a high speed crash yet not all the cars are as unsafe as the piece of shit called ford.

  • @juanOG213 At 190KM/hour, most, if not all vehicles will look like that. That is why speed limits are no where near that.

  • @MaverickXeo this is not why

  • nice shade! :P

  • 3 euros for the back rims

  • back wheel is ok

    !!!xd

  • i would buy the rear wheels :D

  • You think they wanna sell those wheels on the rear?

  • Juz z Malucha by wiecej zostalo ;)

  • This should be an advertisment for GoPro, survived the crash and kept recording!

  • physics baby!....there's no escape.

  • @mat967 could you please explain how kinetic energy is doubled in your case? Could you please compare the total k. energy of two cars travelling at 70 units vs one car at 100 units? Third law has nothing to do with this. We are discussing the results of the reactional forces. Collision of a car and a concrete wall is more elastic than two cars colliding each other. In the first case both bodies have a more tendancy to keep their initial kinetic energy than the other. Therefore the car keeps m

  • @oscarnovember its simply a fact that 2 cars at 70kph will have less damage than 1 at 100kph. hiting another car dont give more damage to your car than a wall...the total energy is doubled because there are 2 car in motion, so 2 time more kinetic energy, but its still the same because the impact is absorbed by the 2. the third law has everything to do with it. The other car simply act as a wall, in the end its the same deceleration

just go see the mythbusters video about 2 car crashing.

  • @mat967 It is not a fact moreover It is totally wrong.

    2*(0,5*m*70,7 ^2)= 0,5*m*100^2

if you do not agree, this conversation is over. I am here to teach physics 101.

if you agree continue reading. Have you ever heard of elastic and inelastic collision?? If yes tell me which is more elastic, two cars colliding or a car crashing into a wall. Physics does not end with Newtonian laws. Have look into conservation of energy principle. Do not come to me with mythbusters. This is not myth but science.

  • @oscarnovember ¨Do not come to me with mythbusters. This is not myth but science.¨

    denying facts, im outta here.

  • @mat967 Moreover, it is not the same deceleration because of the elasticity difference. The reason of this is the difference between the energy dissipation rates between a wall and a car. A car is not a concrete wall when it is absorbing energy. No law says the energy is distributed equally when two objects collide. If that would be the case a rubber ball and a bowling ball would reach to the same height when bouncing from the ground. I hope you get it this time.

  • can i have the rear rims ?

  • Purely beautiful!!

  • Remember that this is one car at 120, but on a road two cars can crash in about 60, and then the result can be similar to this, scary shit.

  • @Jimpank90

No, this is not true for 2 reasons.

If those 2 cars crach into each other then you coud theoretically put a sheet of paper between the cars and the sheet of paper would not move. So 2 cars driving into each other would be comparable with 1 car driving into a concrete wall.

The second reason is that kinetic energy is kwadratic with speed and a car driving at 60mph would only have a quarter of the kinetic energy compared with the same car driven 120mph.

  • i beg to differ in the first paragraph. Two cars driving into each other would absorb much more energy than one car driving into a concrete wall regardless of the total kinetic energy. I mean, one car driving into a concrete wall at 100 kph would get much more damage than two cars driving into each other at 70 kph. Metal always dissipates energy better than concrete.

  • @oscarnovember

"regardless of the total kinetic energy" is a silly thing to say because that "total kinetic engergy" is the driving force of the crash. Kinetic energy in a car with a speed of 100[units] is more than double that than the kinetic energy in the same car driving 70[units].

If you compare 1 car driving into a wall with 2 cars driving into each other then the 2 cars have twice the amount of energy, and that energy has to be dissipated by twice as much metal.

  • @xchvcwryb "Regardless of total kinetic energy" is meant for whether it is low or high , it does not matter as long as the total energy is the same. Consider the example for god's sake before making comments. I quote once more >>>>> "I mean, one car driving into a concrete wall at 100 kph would get much more damage than two cars driving into each other at 70 kph. Metal always dissipates energy better than concrete " <<<<<<

Two cars at 70 kph have the same amount of energy of one car at 100 kph.

  • @oscarnovember I quote you: ¨Metal always dissipates energy better than concrete¨

false(for this example, not in physic). if 2 car crash into another, the total energy is doubled but that force also have to be divided between both cars. A car hitting a wall at a x speed would get (roughly) the same damage as 2 car hitting each other at that speed. All possible thanks to newton third law.

  • @xchvcwryb for you to understand, two cars at 70 kph have "roughly" the same amount of kinetic energy of one car at 100 kph. I'm not giving exact figures here. Just trying to make a point. So your energy content comparison (more than double assertion) isn't correct for the example i gave.

  • @KOMaRKKo

WYNIK ? PRĘDKOŚCI NIE SUMUJĄ SIĘ.
