It's usually the other way around. People want the neater Ford Bronco instead of the better performing International Scout. The IH Scout is a better rated 4x4 by off road pro's hands down.
You have to take into mind that International / Ford use similar parts / axlels / bla bla bla. It boils down to suspension and tire upgrades / driver. Bottom line stock International vs Ford International wins all around.
This was years ago... But that probably was the reason. I remember he couldn't reverse out as you can see because he would just reverse into the dirt wall
yea the driver is an idiot, i have a scout ll which has never gotten stuck and i love it, in my opinion ford broncos r not better, however i gotta respect the old ford broncos, they were really sweet cars and would be my second choice for an offroad vehicle
OF COARSE that depends on which Ford we are talking about but the older Bronco and F series trucks are the ones I'm talking about. I have the right to say this because I love both trucks and have been off road in the same areas with both trucks.
I am going to have to disagree with most people here. I had a 78 Scout II with the 345, automatic, oversize tires, and no lift. All stock except tires. I have a 76 Ford F100 all stock except oversize tires. Hands down the Scout couldn't even come close to comparing to the F100. The Scout got stuck on trails in 4wd that my F100 does in 2wd. I am not knocking the Scout I LOVE them but for the people saying that a Scout is better than a Ford stock. NOT TRUE.
Why is the idiot in the Scout not on the gas when he is so close to getting out? Well the dam thing isn't even running either but yeah why? So stupid! Did it break down?
lol yeah right i'd like to see that bronco even think about going up that steep little ditch. scout woulda got out if he coulda got some of his friends to stand on the front bumper and get some weight on those tires doubt that lil bronco could no matter what you tried! looks like alot of fun though!
yea I didnt know what he was doing when he just took it head on....? the guy though it really good at what he does. he built that Scout up to what it is now. but people do shit for the fun of it sometimes.... but yea I still think nothing can compare to a 1966-77 Broncos. thats coming from a Chevy lover.... Im all about Chevy but I love Ford Broncos. pretty much only Ford I like haha
It's not the Scout with the problem... it's operator error... I've seen military hummers and tanks stuck in mud and ditches, all due to poor drivers... you can have a bad-ass vehicle but all it takes is a dumbass behind the wheel to get things stuck...
no its actually not dumb.... if you look you can see clearly that it would be impossible to pull him from the rear. he couldnt even reverse out cuz his whole rear was slammed into the dirt... so he couldnt move backwards or have us get the tow rope on his hitch.
THAT looks dumb as hell is the guy in the scout actually the bronco owner??? 'Cause that scout in stock form is tougher than that pile 'o crap bronco any day. PS when a SCOUT driver is not in there vehicle it means there takin a piss and stay out of that vehicle if your a ford owner!
no there wasnt anything wrong with it. it was just a real deep trench and also he took it head on. instead at an angle. if he took it at an angle he would of made it. right when he got the front tires on top his rear bumper just dropped. and he couldnt reverse because it would get stuck. so yea...

Two of my favorite trucks. Broncos are the best but Scouts originated the SUV.
