I'm a cyclist, motorist and former motorcyclist too. When you get cut up or nearly rammed it's only natural to exclaim in no uncertain terms. I've also had near misses with other cyclists but i see plusses and minuses to all this. Yes it provides proof if you are an ambulance chaser looking for compo' but it is also very antagonistic and a bit holier than thou. Drives a Toyota "Pious" by any chance?

Cyclists have as much right to be on the road as car drivers; you'd know that if you knew the highway code, you'd also know that the use of cycle lanes is at a cyclist's discretion regarding on whether they feel it is safer to do so or not, and given that cycle lanes are frequently full of debris and wet manhole covers....well. I reported a dangerous incident to police here in Sydney Aus. No cyclists involved though.
It was my green light to come out of a T intersection, I was turning left into a 3 lane road and took the middle lane. As I was halfway through the turn a guy flew through the red light and zoomed round me. doing over 80km/h. What's more is the light for him was red for ages.
I called police immediately whilst "in pursuit". The car pulled into a pub carpark and I stayed outside. 1 hr later, no police.

And the police station is about 1km from where the car had entered the pub property. Sickens me that police do nothing. Yet last night they turned around to pull me over, followed me for about half a KM then come and "random" breath test me. Just coz I drive a nice car. Left with no fines or warnings. @Tzimnewman3 I'm familiar with the Highway Code, I just wondered if there was a particular guideline number that I missed - hence asking you for the "law" (ps the highway code is not a book of law, only a book of guidelines to follow, and sometimes refers to legal statutes. It is not in itself a law.). I suggest that In fact it states that cars should give way to vulnerable road users, including people not protected by large heavy metal boxes ... so which "law" number was it exactly?

I don't want you to think I'm defending this guy I think he's acting like a bit of a pratt (I'm a driving instructor and a keen cyclist too so I can see both sides of the story). However, I think some drivers need to realise that the trade off might be 30 seconds extra journey time or going to court for murder ... eek. I tend to stay away from cyclists for that reason whether they're right or wrong!
I was also shocked to find out he was a doctor. from some of his replies on other videos, he seems a bit of a tool, and I agree with those who've said that in some of his videos he is not riding safely or riding to avoid accidents at all, but instead riding to provoke.
I drive through London every day, if i were to record all the bad riding by cyclists, i wouldnt get any work done. They regularly ride through red lights, undertake people on the left, go the wrong way up 1 way streets, turn right when it is clearly a no right turn, go up on the pavement (endangering people walking there) just to get round motorists, you know, the ones who pay for the road.

@vousden I'm rather saying that it's pointless, especially using halogen lights which hardly can be told from the jacket, as the contrast is too low. At least, he should use blueish LED lights which make a visible contrast to the yellow colour of the jacket, but that would still be quite pointless anyway.

I use a Go Pro camera because between it's obvious larger size than your camera, and it's nationally televised face (people tend to know it by name here in texas, know I've seen UK made vids with it too) people tend to see it and leave me be. Of course I'm biking in Austin tx so I'm usually doing the passing.

As he draws near he veers onto my side of the road giving me around 4' of road. While he's doing this, he and his 2 chav scum mates are laughing. With a closing speed of around 50mph, this was a very nasty incident. What would you call this? My imagination?

Too many car drivers do NOT signal, do NOT give a damn to other road users, have NO idea about lane discipline or the fact that there CAR can kill a cyclist or pedestrian easily. I think this is a growing trend now (helmet cameras) and I feel it's become really important due to the amount of hyper aggressive folks behind the wheel. I see no legal excuse for not using the cycle lanes provided which on many occasions he chooses to ride smack in the middle of the road. It is not in itself a law.). I suggest that In fact it states that cars should give way to vulnerable road users, including people not protected by large heavy metal boxes ... so which "law" number was it exactly?

I don't want you to think I'm defending this guy I think he's acting like a bit of a pratt (I'm a driving instructor and a keen cyclist too so I can see both sides of the story). However, I think some drivers need to realise that the trade off might be 30 seconds extra journey time or going to court for murder ... eek. I tend to stay away from cyclists for that reason whether they're right or wrong!

I drive through London every day, if i were to record all the bad riding by cyclists, i wouldnt get any work done. They regularly ride through red lights, undertake people on the left, go the wrong way up 1 way streets, turn right when it is clearly a no right turn, go up on the pavement (endangering people walking there) just to get round motorists, you know, the ones who pay for the road.

There are other reasons than just the door zone for taking a primary position.
Approaching a pedestrian island, where the road narrows, narrow roads where oncoming traffic means a safe overtake isn't possible, etc.
All of the above are life saving methods, and not just to 'piss people off'

I use a Go Pro camera because between it's obvious larger size than your camera, and it's nationally televised face (people tend to know it by name here in texas, know I've seen UK made vids with it too) people tend to see it and leave me be. As he draws near he veers onto my side of the road giving me around 4' of road. While he's doing this, he and his 2 chav scum mates are laughing. With a closing speed of around 50mph, this was a very nasty incident. What would you call this? My imagination?

That's a tiny percentage of silly motorists (or cyclists or that matter).
You don't need to 'go looking for it'.... it happens all the time.
Being a safe cyclist is reading the road ahead, and taking steps to avoid it.
But cyclists have laws to obay too.
Personally, I think the police should confront more silly cyclists.

If anything, some of his videos altered my riding style for a safer road position through pinch points.
