  • А у нас в России все дороги такие и это за бездорожье не считается

  • Hyundai's are good ....but people hate them because they are cheap and they are Korean cars...big deal. A good car it's a good car,no matter of where it was made.

  • @ungureanudoru ...and it depends on how good a driver is. You don't judge a car by name. it's By performance and good driving skills that is. Don't they know that engineers, designers from Hyundai also work for Japanese manufacturers?

  • Santa Fe is a very good car on snow as well. Last year, when it snowed hard here in north-east region, I was the only one going up and down the mountains without skidding when everyone was either stuck in their houses or on the side of the road, if not in the accidents. lol I got new Kumho tires this year (stock tires were not that good), and I cannot wait for snow this year!

  • peice of crap soft roader for soft cocked old people, give me live axles and low range please

  • @sidwinder99 A hyundai is live axle or as you know independent suspension...

you want solid axle rear and front for offroading

  • i think it is just a joke for it

  • Santa Fe , its just a normal car,, not an off road ride at all !!!!!

  • 2011 mitsubishi outlander sport has 4wd while getting 21/29 fuel economy

  • sounds like TDI

  • it sucks, the brakes suck, the engine sucks, and it`s too heavy for off road

  • @crisrocksonguitar you have know idea what your talking about ive personally driven one and they do just fine offroad as you can see,

its not designed for extreme offroading

thats the extent right there off the santa fes offroading, and thats all it needs

  • my dad has the ix35 and i wonder if it would be nearly as good as the santa fe because he says it's got high ground clearence meanwhile buy the santa fe and you get the top of the range model for cheaper than the base model x3 the only thing the x3 beats it on is fuel economy in diesel form

  • hyundai offroading now thats a funny sight lol

  • I'm sure this car could do more, Everything but the towing across water my civic could do.

  • Is that a diesel? Cool.

  • Dude, i can do that in my Dodge Neon

  • @tripovermyego

I was gonna say I can do the same in my C320 Mercedes sedan!

AND DAMM IS THAT NOISY FOR A DIESEL!!!

  • in soudia arabia , santa fe is peter than toyota land cruiser

  • This Car does not worth the money , Bad handling on the curves , Bad breaks , the good thing is may for the diesel engine you can save the money

  • Have you ever even seen one LIVE? "Bad handling, bad breaks"... What are you comparing it to,a Porsche 911 or an Audi R8? Handling is quite good for the weight and height, especially when compared to Mitsubishi Outlander,LR Freelander and the old SF. The brakes can hang you on the seat belt. EU stopping distance norm is 40m (100kph ,fully loaded) ,the Santa Fe manages 37.5-39m on the tests. The ESP has kicked in a couple of times, and I`m glad, because otherwise I`d probably have skid and crashed.

  • You are asking if i have ever seen one Live ? Are you kidding me i didn't speak just to tease people i'm driving one these every day . Who said i'm comparing the Santa Fe to Porsche or Audi just simply it's not a good car the handling is bad and the acceleration is good when the car is new after a while you can not reach more than 160 KM NO POWER , i have Japanese cars Toyota and Mitsubishi they very good reliable and they live long not like the Korean cars .

  • Don't miss understand me i respect your opinion and i'm stuck with mine .

  • I was asking, cus i personally have 1 Korean (2007 Fe 4WD 2.2CRDi manual) ,1 Jap (toyota Aygo 1.4D) and 1 EU (Peugeot Partner 2.0HDi) and all are about 2 years old. The SF hasn`t had any problems at all. The Toyota and Peugeot,on the other side, have been quite often at the dealer`s repair shop. About the power of the SF,well mine is not chipped and still can reach 190km/h with no difficulty at all..

  • That's good if you are comfortable with the car that's all you need just the satisfaction , Good Luck and god bless you .

  • Yup,I`m OK with the car. We were going to buy a GL,but we decided to get an ML and a Santa Fe. The Toyota and Peugeot are company cars, but me and my wife drive them.

  • Good Luck with every thing .

  • Yes, because in Lybia you have a lot of options to choose from. Whatever man, please stay in your embargoed country and let the people living in the real world talk about cars...are we clear?

  • Have you ever see Libya yu sHave ever seen Libya you studied Shit head and yes we have a choice not like your poor country POOR BABY ,Just you are speaking out of hatred . So SHUT THE FUCK UP LIBYA CAN BUY YOUR SHITY COUNTRY

  • Where you got that information from, ignorant!. This car has WAY BETTER HANDLING than the shitty Toyota Prado of the same year. This car is a best seller, You get a lot of car, with very good off road capability for regular drivers and people going off road every now and then (not rock climbers or mud diggers).

  • I'mIn PANAMA most of people they use SHITY MOTORCYCLE and you asking me how do I know about the car, Let me give a piece of advice THINK AND SEARCH BEBORE YOU SPEAK.

  • LMAO!!!, Panama with motorcycles??? hahahaha,, dude, those are the pizza delivery and messenger services hahahahhahaha......MOST PEOPLE HERE HAS CAR, IDIOT....dude, go back to your embargoed country, plenty on ignorants thinking in just blowing your self and hate United States and all other countries that are not from the islam. I think YOU ARE THE ONE NEEDING TO SEARCH AND THINK MORE BEFORE SPEAKING....Do you have any idea where is Panama??, Ignorant.

  • You wish you can live in Panama, with all the Malls and Trade Centers, and the Modern City, Resorts, and everything we have here......We can buy whatever we want, and we have ALL CAR BRANDS and all models!, FYI!. Everybody wants to do business with us, not like your embargoed country. Now, please, SHUT THE FUCK UP!! BTW, Panama is in America.

  • Yes you shit head Panama is in South America with the moles and the trading centers and THE DRUGS AND THE WEAPONS ON THE STREET AND PROSTITUTION YES VERY PRETTY COUNTRY ,so if you notice here all the people who like Santa Fe is from south America or eastern Europe POOR PEOPLE who can't buy a proper JAPANESE CAR OR EUROPEAN CAR . and your MIND LIMITED BECAUSE WHO MENTIONED ISLAM HERE I I JUST TALKED ABOUT CARS YOU STUDIED ASS , YOU KNOW YOU ARE VERY Entertaining keep the good work FUCKER.

  • are you pissed off? LOL!!! Dude, I know the truth is painfull, but we have to deal with it. We may have all those problems you mentioned, but at least we have a better picture of the world around us, not like you, ignoring so much things in this world and living in a country nobody wants to do too much business with and with a Terrorist fame. BTW, Santa Fe is one of the model with best sales around the world....Anyways, hope your country gets out of the embargoed list, soon. DISMISSED!

  • Your reply prove that you dont know anything now a days all the foreign company from all over the world is fighting to come to Libya to win the new and the huge projects for development in every sectors, Terrorist who said that its just a propaganda, I work in a foreign company and there are too many foreign people living in Libya from EUROPE and Asia with their families, So please like I told dont speak before you search and think OK Period ..

  • Yeah right!, then why your country is still EMBARGOED!! you see?, Lybia was involved in so many terrorist acts around the world. Lybia is just another poor country from middle east that everybody from the big countries are trying to get a piece of it for their own benefit, nothing to do with the locals. Everything you have is thanks to the Oil, and it wont last forever, after that, your country will have nothing to offer. FACE IT! A big country with just a small city with sand around it

  • I just checked the numbers about Lybia, that country has so much way to run to be considered a good and safe country. Just few rich people and the rest is poor as hell. C'mon, son, get the fuck out of here with that bullshit!

  • Your speech prove again that you don't know any thing about Libya , Libya located in north Africa not in the middle east and most of the Libyan considered as a middle class and the poor are very rare, search better smart ass . i'll not wast my time with you , you are raciest and ignorant .

  • North Africa, Middle East...dude, it is the same...Sandy place, just Oil to support you.....and very poor people around the area......So...that place is nothing good, since, I repeat again, IT IS EMBARGOED!!!, NO BUSINESS WITH YOU...Please dont try to cover the sun with one hand...punk!

The only islmic ignorant thinking that everybody in world shoud flollow what your religious says is you. Please stay in your country and dont fuck around anybody in America, Europe or Asia. DISMISSED!

  • Hahahaha , You are so funny and amusing keep going .

  • Yes, smile and laugh, so you dont have to cry, LOL!.....BTW, you said you were not gonna WASTE (next time improve your fucked English) your time with me. So, what are you doing replying to my comments....Please go back to your sandy little town in the middle of your Embargoed and Lockerbie terrorist act related country. As you said, dont waste your time with me, because your islamic mind set is not enough to deal with people from the normal world like me. Have a nice one. End of discussion.

  • Normal world like you yeah good one keep going .

  • @wtrdogg20 It isn`t the same at all, poor americans, what do you study at school at all?

  • @melfandi

Begging your pardon but, Panama is in Central America not in South America. I myself live in Central America and i have a Santa fé and also a Mitsubishi L200.

  • Ok Clear

  • I'd like to say that I like this car and r planning to buy it. Good value for your money,

But it's in fact a crossover, with very limited off-road skills. I don't know how people use it in US or Europe, but here in Brazil, 99% of the drivers use AWD SUV's on urban streets and their cars have never seen mud, sand or rocks.

Even a VW beetle or a honda civic could ride terrain like the Santa Fe rides on that video.

  • The same in Europe, most of these vehicles are rarely ever driven off road. I like the Sante Fe, I dont know why its gets such bad press. Looks Nice and offers great value for money..

  • Santa Fe is good enough for minor off roading like the video. It is not designed to compete with a Defender, or a Land Cruiser...It is good enough for bad roads , low level rivers, some mud and difficult areas were a regular 2wd car wont do any good.

  • you say "purpose built for exporing the great outdoors" u need to learn what the great outdoors are jeeps, landrovers, hummers are made for great outdoors not this piece

  • I agree and it clearly says in the Santa Fe 2009 manual that this vehicule ISN'T made for off-road :o)

  • wow i had my sights set on a santy... and then subie had to come up with the new 09 forester and won the CarOfTheYear award.

now im split, although, of course, the santy has 5 years warranty and 7 seats.

but still, a subie's always good meat to me..

  • @thekaizer666 You cant go wrong with either of those choices.

    Subaru kicks snows rear end.

handles like a car but has good ground clearance.

Santa Fe lets you go out shopping all day, and have tons of space inside.

even though its loaded up with stuff.

  • an affordable Korean Hummer ! who needs Hummer anyway ?

  • its no lr3

  • doesn't cost like an LR3 too.

this is a totally different segment of the market that's targetted, perfect for people like me who are not really into true off road yet..

  • yah i knoiw my dad has a santa fe but were getting an lr3

  • srry its cool we used to have 1

  • holy crap,it would take months to traverse a trip at those speeds, and it that time the shock absorbers would heat up too much, the cv joints would be worn,why..why do people still think these soft roaders are built for off roading.

  • you are obviously no WRC fan.. I would have flashed through there like Solberg through Greece. I love the independent suspension and AWD in the Santa Fe.

  • yeah! the santa fe got it all.. 2 thumbs up!!!

  • WOW! its a whole herd of santa fe's.

Santa fe's are very relaible cars, and very nice looking too. i drove my friends 05 on a road trip, it was a very comfortable ride all the way and going off road in it was no problem, they have a good AWD system.

  • I used to have an 04 2WD Santy, had to trade it in for a civic when gas was $4.79 a gallon in NJ USA

    back in early 2008.

I miss my Santy. had 142k miles and still purred like a kitten. Solid built, very practical, smooth ride.

This is Hyundai's golden child SUV.

  • Why bother with a 2wd though? You get the bad points of a 4x4 (weight, petrol consumption) without the advantages.

  • I know what you mean, but at the time I bought it, my commute was all major highway, no need for AWD but could use that extra space inside.

And the 2WD was cheaper, and did 1 MPG better on gas.

Looking back I regret doing that and wished I got the AWD version instead.

I wont make that mistake again.

  • my dad has one at the moment but were trading in for lr3 if he wins poletical elections

  • @johnpa2006 - Hey, I know this is an old, old post. But I thought I'd let you know that, in Britain, nowadays Petrol is £1.50 a litre / £6.82 a gallon / $11.02. :)

  • @MyRandomReviews ouch that is a lot of money.

makes me want to get a little Honda Fit or Ford Fiesta.

    Prices for gas are crazy.

  • @johnpa2006 - Lol, yes it is crazy! The government where ready to put another 5p (£0.05) on that price but they saw fit to reduce the tax yesturday - thank god! :P

P.S.: The Honda Fit is our Honda Jazz! :D

  • the hhyunadi santa fe is good car

  • 2001 with those rims is tha best..lol...j/k i do like acceleration beter on 2001 santafe k!

  • how does it differ from the previous santa fe '08?

  • even when the system is locked its only 30/70 4x4, really 4x4 is 50/50, thats the difference between AWD and 4x4

  • @sleds12 Complete bullshit, it is full-time 90/10,which can go up to 50/50. The 4WD LOCK mode is 50/50 permanent.

  • Very Good!, I like the Santa Fe!

  • Yes, and the 4WD system is by BORG-WARNER which means it is good. The rear wheels engage when either of the front wheels spin at 1/8 of their length e.g. very quickly responding. There is an additional 4WD LOCK button on the center console which when pressed, engages the 4WD until the speed of 30kp/h is exceeded. I have a Santa Fe (I`m from Bulgaria and there are a lot of off-road paths and snowy winters here) and the system with&without the Traction control it is perfect. I`ve tolled a Lada Niva

  • cool vid. I'd like to see a bit more hard core action, but still. I enjoyed that.

  • may i ask u something? the santa fe has lock or is only an awd?

  • Hi smenjare

It has a Torque on Demand All-Wheel-Drive(AWD) system, which means that power is directed to the rear wheels whenever adverse conditions or loss of traction are detected.

Alternatively, the driver can select the 4WD-Lock position which permanently locks all 4 wheels.

  • @smenjare scond option
