Staling a name is almost impossible thing. Since there are a thousands of people who got the same name and so it is when it comes to the names of bands, also. It's quite normal to find 2 bands with the same name, even the more than JUST 2.
They didn't stole the name. The ambient trance artist is active since 2001 while this band is active since 1994, the opposite would be a great claim if you wanted to talk about stealing the name. And reflectivemind already said something good about that fact!

Aes Dana is much better than Eluveitie in my opinion. I've heard Spirit for only few weaks, but I hear Formors since I've buy it (it was 6 month ago) !
Eluveitie is much more melodic death and Aes Dana is clearly black metal. On top of that Aes Dana sounds much more celtic than Eluveitie (Yes, Eluveitie use a lot of celtic instruments and Aes Dana only 3, but I think Aes Dana use it better).
Le côté celtique, totalement inspirant ! Bravo Aes Dana ! Et oui, dommage que leurs album soit aussi couteux et difficile à trouver au Québec... Mais bon, il faut apprécier ce qui est rare et les préserver pour de meilleur souvenirs ! :D
