In like manner, should Gloria Arroyo protect the Ampatuans because they are allies? The record shows that Marcos extended his rule beyond the term limits mandated by the Constitution. Show me the proof of the lies in the history I believe in. Is it a lie that Marcos ruled the Philippines for 20 years - 12 years beyond the maximum mandated by the Constitution, at pinakulong pa nya si Ninoy Aquino? Is our foreign debt from the Marcos years a lie?

Kung marami ngang komunista ang nasa oposisyon ay bakit di naging komunista ang Pilipinas under Cory Aquino kung kelan yung mga oposisyon ang naging sa poder? And why did Marcos lift Martial Law in 1981 when the communist movement was in fact stronger than it was in 1972 when Martial law was initially declared? At kung yung Martial Law ay para mapatigil ang communist movement, bakit ang mga pina-aresto ni Marcos ay mga opposition leaders, journalists, academicians who dared speak against the Marcos regime? Eh di ba't having an active opposition, a vibrant free press and academicians are vital to a democracy? In trying to supposedly prevent communism, Marcos converted the Philippines into a dictatorship. We would have ended up like North Korea under Marcos.

Marcos declared Martial Law from 1972 to 1981 to battle a communist insurgency that consisted only of 500 members in 1972 and 16,000 members by the time Marcos was deposed from the presidency in 1986. It was Marcos' oppression and failed economic policies that strengthened the communist movement. At bakit, naging komunista ba tayo nung maging Presidente si Cory????????

Part 3: Why did Marcos violate the democratic Philippine Constitution by ruling for 13 years beyond his term limit (heck probably until his death if he were not kicked out by People Power)? Isn't an inherent feature of a democracy the voluntary surrender of power once the term mandated by the people ends?

Following the assassination of Benigno Aquino, the Philippine economy went into deep crisis, culminating in a contraction of more than 10% from 1984-1985. Who was president (or I should say dictator) at that time? By the way, never in any year after Marcos has our economy contracted to that extent.

Somebody needs a history lesson. The Philippines was the 2nd richest country in Asia when Marcos came to power in 1965, and one of the poorest when he left in 1986, saddled with a $27 billion foreign debt. Was it Cory who had the 3,000 pairs of shoes? Mabuhay ang mga Aquinos!!!

If I watch Ninoy Aquino's interview, no matter how long the interview would take, it makes it much more interesting to listen to. With noynoy wala pang 1 minute feeling mo ang tagal tagal! i'm sure ngayon, kinikilabutan na ang mga current leaders natin sa GMA administration, including GMA herself, at the outpouring of love and support for Cory. ito na yung magiging pamantayan ng kadakilaan ng isang leader sa Pilipinas from now on. I was 3 years old when Pres. Aquino stepped out from presidency. I really didn't feel how she was as president but, through the years that I learned my history I admired her already. From there on, she became an icon for me. Her toughness to fight the authoritarian government and devouted to give us back the freedom that was deprived from us for 20 years is indeed a very admirable. Mel and Cris were Cory's bodyguards, assigned to her after she left the Presidency. Because Cory criticized GMA, the latter had Cris and Mel removed to "save money". The guards were in tears because they were there with President Cory, especially during her ordeal at the hospital. Kris claims that she is not bitter ("I understand that when you have the influence, you will use it to make your enemy suffer as much as you can", then she started crying, making it difficult to hear everything).
