To be even honest, I really dont like BMW. But with this new 5-Series, much nicer than new E-class, and much nicer than current A6 Audi.

for me, the perfect "5" id have is: a 520d SE

Oops my apologies then. Someone mentioned the CTS being better, they were wrong. It's 1000 times better, the CTS V alone will have something for the new M5, just like it beat the old one in every comparison test out.

I know this hurts, but remember the V lapped the Nürburgring faster than any 4 door ever, it was 7.56.xx. the M5 was in the 8.15 realm, and the M3 was about 8.13. Total obliteration!

CTS ... Nothing comes close to a M5! Take out the supercharger of the CTS V and it is lame. Or otherways ... take the G-Power Hurricane M5 (just supercharged) and it will be half a minute faster for so sure ... 730 bhp and 227 mph topspeed says everything.

Related to the chassis the M5 is more than just one step ahead.

Something I've noticed about vehicle styling: the ones that start off looking ok but seem somewhat distasteful or sort of boring end up standing the test of time and stay looking fresh. There are subtle details that you slowly notice over time and they end up growing on you. I think BMW is very good at this. The previous 5 series looked strange to me at first but it slowly grew on me more and more.
