Actually Cannonball plays absolutely free, also in producing his tone; in that he is IMO no different from Ornette Coleman. Only Ornette's point of departure differed.

But thanks,anyway. I had played this tune, regularly, with a combo, just a couple or so years before I asked the question, and I couldn't, for the life of me think of the name.
I felt pretty silly.
BTW, I see that you went to high school in DC. Me, too. Anacostia HS (class of '55).
